PARAMOUNT WINDOW & DOORS

Trying to buy double hung windows from Paramount was one of the hardest things I had to do on my remodel project. First... Paramount has almost NO connection with their retailers (and wont even talk to individuals trying to buy from them). Except B and B hardware in Long Beach you cant even LOOK at a Paramount window in a show room. After looking at 8 different retailers off their web site, I had to go the factory showroom to look at a Paramount double hung window. I even went to a window showroom about 3 blocks from the factory, and they didn't even think they carried Paramount, even though they were listed as retailers on their web site, and 3 BLOCKS from the factory. We bit the bullet and bought them anyway through a retailer (see my reviews to see how that went) and things went to h***. First Paramount was of no help in design of the windows, they dont help their retailers order them and provide almost no detail in their literature on how to order them. As a result between mistakes from Paramount and our retailer (both were at fault) we had the windows go back 3 times for design mistakes. Some of which should have been caught at the factory. Trying to talk to anybody at Paramount was a nightmare ("you need to call your retailer dude") or calls went unanswered - the owner is great about talking to you about the windows, until you buy them, then you will never get a call back. Keep looking if you are trying to get authentic double hung windows. Somebody knows what they are doing in the factory, they look and work great. But trying to get past a really bad sales staff and ownership makes it a big, big risk. Go elsewhere!
