I really like one of the owners, Josh. Really friendly, honest. They came, figured out what needed to be done, quoted, came back with the materials and fixed it. Painless. Great people.

In searching for a new shower installation i discovered that Martinez and Sons has extended experience in this line of work (I only thought of them as window installers). They came and measured the glass to be replaced, talked to me about replacement designs and submitted their bid by email later that evening. They beat the larger shower installation company's bid by a good amount (that company gave me a price over the phone without coming out-they had standard prices and would measure later). Once my decision was made, a date was set and they came on time (two installers). The object was to leave the original tile work in place removing all evidence of the brass-colored shower's 20-year existence. Within hours, the work was completed leaving a contemporary, brushed nickel shower. It looked spectacular. They left the bathroom as clean as when they came. On the way out, I pointed out a window frame whose upper portion had broken off many years before. I was told that with the saved parts and a couple of new screws they could repair it quite quickly. Since they were returning to fix the mirror frame, they added the window work without additional charge. In all details, the owner/estimator (Josh Martinez), his installers and the office staff, I was given the full and friendly service.

It was good.

Great! They took the time to explain how to replace the putty and insert the spring clips that hold the glass. I asked for this instruction so that I can re-putty the rest of the house myself. Their work looks great.

I called Martinez and Sons and left a message that morning, requesting a quote. Someone from the company called me back within 20 minutes or so, but in the meantime, I had booked another company to come the following day. I told the Martinez and Sons guy that I'd booked another company for the following day but would hire him if he had a competitive price and could come the same day. I gave him the dimensions of the panes I needed replaced, and his quote was similar to other company's. He said he could have someone at my house that day between 1:30 and 2:00 (unlike the other company, which had given me a 3 hour window of time). Sure enough, at 1:55, a guy showed up to fix my windows that day. He fixed both panes in about 40 minutes, and during that time, I had to leave him alone so I could pick up my kids from school. He was polite and efficient. He had the invoice already printed out, and the company allowed me to pay them the next day because I had to run out again at the moment the repair work was done. All in all, a great experience. No surprises.
