ALPHA PROPERTY MANAGEMENT

I paid a deposit of $300 and signed the papers. I did not get a copy of the contract at that time. It was a standard fill in the blanks contract for property management. I received the contract in the mail several days later and there were prices for services that were in direct conflict with the Alpha web site and my memory of the contract. Such as an added on 10% fee for arranging work to be done. Alpha did agree to end the contract when I questioned the contract details. I asked for the keys and deposit to be returned. Alpha agreed to send the deposit and keys by mail by the end of the week, with mailing fees deducted from the deposit. Two weeks later I received the keys in a US postal next day for a cost of $20. I am glad this only cost me $20 and not any additional money. Make sure to obtain a contract copy immediately after you sign it. I believe Alpha Property Management is a one woman operation. The owner does not know property law and she is terrible at prioritizing. For example, tenants needed to be served a notice since they were not paying rent and all she could focus on is mowing the lawn and doing other minor repairs in the house. The lawn was being taken care of by a gardener and looked perfectly fine. She would not provide me with the contract the tenants signed which is a violation of real estate laws. I also caught her not telling me the truth. She said my oven would not turn on but it did turn on and it was working fine. In the agreement I signed with her, I clearly indicated a question mark in the blank next to the end date of my contract with her and I clearly communicated with her I wanted a month to month agreement. After I signed the agreement with the question mark as the end-date on the contract, she insisted it was an annual contract and demanded it to be for a whole year. I would give her a lower rating than F but that is the worst possible. Under no circumstance, do not use this company for property management.
