Description of Work: I had a leaking faucet in the tub/shower that was getting worse. My son had offered to pay for it's repair up to $500. The technician was nice, prompt, and explained things. I was shocked that the base fee for this kind of repair was $950.00. I just wanted to get it over with so I paid the balance. It took about 3 hours to complete. The hardware was all replaced and works wonderfully. He cleaned up area well. My son called later and thought we could have gotten a better price elsewhere...he called around and was quoted ~ $600. But not sure if they counted everything or how much my son told them of repair. Next time I will call around first.

Description of Work: My drain was clogged. I bought the Angie's List coupon on a Sunday, and they came on Monday. (They immediately called me back on Sunday after I left a message.) It turned out I didn't have to pay anything beyond the coupon. It was an easy problem to fix, but I appreciated that they got back to me right away, and came the next morning.

Description of Work: I used Ace to replace the sewer line on my new house. I give them an A on price not because they were really cheap, but because their quote wasn't out of the range of other quotes I'd gotten. Replacing a sewer line isn't an inexpensive job by any means. The representative I met with was Parker, and he was fantastic. He arranged to meet me when my crap schedule permitted and explained everything thoroughly to me. The work was done quickly and very well. I would absolutely use them again and actually did. I had to call them when my handyman wasn't able to install the new toilet I'd chosen. They did a great job with that too!

Description of Work: Attempted to fix sewer leak. The 1660.00 was for the service call and to dig open area of where sewer line left the house to flow through the rest of the line to the street. They offered to dig through my front yard which was unacceptable or trench around and down my drive way for 12,500.00. I was able to find another company independtly owned which performed a service that lowered a tank next to the house for 4,200.00 and it works fine. I was surprised Ace did not offer this service.

Description of Work: He checked out our toilet and tub. He could not find a problem with either. Then he checked the water pressure on our kitchen faucet. He took it apart and cleaned the screens. He noticed that the faucet was leading. He said it probably needed a new filter, but that would be difficult to find. He said we should get a new one. I said I could do that, but then my husband would not be able to install it. So he offered to go and purchase one and he would come back and install it the same day. He did that. He did a good job.
