Description of Work: I asked for a small plumbing fix in my kitchen. They immediately tried up-selling me on other plumbing services that I was not interested in. The price they quoted me for my immediate need was over $1,000. I found another plumber who did what I needed for a couple hundred dollars.

Description of Work: The Plumber was good, and quick. |Overall, he completed the job in about 20 minutes working time, however he didn't have a part (rubber ring) he needed, and I was charged overage for his drive to the hardware store and back, which took the time over 30 minutes.

Description of Work: The gentlemen who came to service my slow flushing toilet said I needed a new toilet. A friend came over and fix the toilette by increasing the water in the tank. Simple.

Description of Work: I purchased a promotional offer for this plumber for $69 several months earlier to use the service of this plumber for completion of the laundry room sink plumbing work. I contacted this plumber 2 weeks in advance to setup an appointment. During this appointment setup I explained to the owner/partner about my need. I explained in detail that I have all the parts and need their service to simply hook up the plumbing with existing brand new copper(hot and cold)lines as well as brand new trap line. I asked them to give me an approximate time and cost. He did not provide it even though I was not after an exact figure. He said he must see it first. I also mentioned about the promotional offer I purchased from Angie's list for this job. Appointment was set. On the day of an appointment two plumbers showed up for this small job!! One of the plumber who apparently was the lead was rather overweight that hardly could fit under the cabinet where the plumbing connections would have taken place. I do not know the function of the other plumber!! These plumbers were unaware of the Angies offer even though I had explained all in advance during appointment setup. They had to call their boss to get direction about the voucher and they killed about 15 minutes in that process. Then when I asked them what it would cost me to do this job and how long would that last, the lead plumber said between 1.5 to 2 hours and gave me an estimate of $180 to $225. I asked them then what do I do with this Angies voucher I already paid, they replied that this payment is only for them to show up here which, meant that in essence I would have paid them $250 to $295 for this simple clean plumbing job. I rejected their estimate and did not allow them to do the job knowing that all plumbers are expected to provide the estimate and they do it for free. I immediately called Angie's list for refund. Agnies' rep promised refund in 5 to 7 days and as of yet (2/2/2016) have not received the refund. I'll call Angie again tomorrow. I contacted another plumber who professionally did the same job in less than an hour to my full satisfaction for less than half the cost. I learned my lesson and will never buy these promo offers from Angie's list. Because vendors often try to take advantage of the inexperienced consumer and charge far more than an ordinary cost.

Description of Work: Repaired shower drain and replaced all grey water piping under the home. Very fast they knew what they were doing and piping is strapped and that was not done when home was built. Piping was so clogged I was surprised that water even went through it. So happy with their work and professionalism.
