Ace Plumbing Heating & Air Conditioning

The technician who came out kept making jokes about how the job would be easy and he would get to go home early. We were having alot of water releasing from the high pressure valve, so he replaced it. He said we would need to have the water heater replaced fairly soon as this was a sign of it wearing out. We subsequently had another plumber come out who told us all we needed was to have a head pressure regulator installed, which took care of the problem.

Very good experience. Smelled gas in garage where hot water heater is located. They took the call immediately (no message machine) and got a plumber out within an hour. Lupe was very professional. He found the leak and repaired it in short order. Very fair price. Will definitely use them for future plumbing needs.

Ace was very responsive, did not appear the least fazed by our not having a clean out trap, and sent the plumber within the 2-hour window. He was in and gone before the window even expired. He was efficient, clean - VERY clean - and helpful. We have another very minor problem that he pointed out BEFORE it gets serious. He did what we needed, cleaned up, and left. And he restored our entire system without making us feel like creeps for having an old house with creaky plumbing. I was VERY happy with the work, with the quality of professionalism, and with the kind attitude of Julio, the plumber from Ace.

Called and spoke to Scott. Told him I had a leak outside where the city water comes in at the valve, about 3-4 ft down. He quoted me $200 - 300. And set appointment for 10 a.m. Tim called at 9:50 and said he would be out in about 30 min. I thought, not prompt, not good. Tim came out about 10:10 to fix a "sprinkler leak". I knew AT ONCE we had a problem. I told Tim to go. He said he can call in to get a new estimate. I said ok, do it. The estimate is $1175. I said ok, goodbye. Tim also had a slightly gruff attitude. That alone was enough for me to probably send him packingNot a good experience..I will find some other company with better telephone listening skills! And a better price when the problem is diagnosed properly.

It went great from start to finish. They replaced the P trap in record time and got the drains flowing super fast. Although I don't put anything down my sinks on purpose (dental floss) and I always have a lint trap in the tub - there was still goodies that got through and created a nasty clog. Responded that day, checked out problem, unseated a dime I couldnot even feel, tested unit and recommended keeping it and returning the replacement unit I had bought. Done - money saved - 1 fewer disgarded but fixable pieces of equipment in the landfill!

I tried to replace a leaky toilet shut off valve and managed to bend the copper pipe in the wall. I had turned off the water to the house and was able to remove the valve but part of the steel pipe threads broke off. When I tried to remove the steel pipe, I bent the copper water pipe in the wall. It was late on Saturday. In a panic I called the first plumber I found in the yellow pages that had 24/7 service. Tony responded in less than an hour and fixed it. He was so good I called for him again to replace a leaky laundry tub faucet. I learned my lesson.

Water heater went out while we had company. They came out right away and found we needed a part that could not be recived till the following week. Spent the next few days with no hot water. Then they sent out Phil.......He replacd the part, but it went out again that night. Phil came back the next day and spent about 3 hrs messing with the part. He then said it could not be repaired and we needed to replace the entire water heater. He began looking around the house, back yard etc. He then left. Manager called me later and said my floors would have to be torn out, cabinets torn out, and a new heater installed outside in the back yard. He said my water heater was in an illegal place and needed to be brought up to code. I asked why they couldn't just move the heater to the garage and reroute a water line overhead. He had no answer. Said they do remodel work and knew what they were doing. I called a plumber I had used before. They were out same day, replaced the water heater in place and found that Phil had damaged the heater so bad trying to make that part work, the entire heater had to be replaced. They got a permit and found our house was grandfathered in with the exisiting water heater plan and not a problem. I called Ace and told them. They tried to report the plumber to the city, but found they had done nothing wrong. Ace clearly is out to do remodel work and rip people off. I just saw Phil driving an Ace truck the other day. He is still employed by them!!!!

I didn’t use them because I guess somebody else would have given me a better price. Their price was not the lowest. There was nothing wrong with them. They didn’t have to come out. They just had higher price. I would use them to get a quote in the future.

I called on a Saturday morning and was told someone would be out within 2 hours. The plumber arrived in about an hour and a half. He took care of the problem, was pleasant and professional as was the woman who answered the phone. I would definitely use Ace Plumbing again and recommend them to others.

Came on time, did the job for the agreed price in a workman-like manner, cleaned up and left with a smile.

The plumber's name was Jesse Reyes. It was cold and dark outside but he worked diligently until the line was opened. He double checked to make sure everything was working properly. He was friendly, courteous, and very professional. I was very pleased with the service from ACE.

My kitchen sink was clogged, and I had already tried all the tools I have to unclog it. So I called and was offered a same-day appointment. I chose to take a next-day appointment, which they were able to schedule exactly at the same time as I had another workman at my house. Very convenient! The technician arrived on time, inspected the drain, got the power snake, and spent about 15 minutes snaking the drain. He commented that the drain was very dirty, but did not attempt to sell me anything else. He tested the drain to make sure it was flowing and there were no leaks under the sink. All was well, so he packed up his stuff, and was gone. All in all I was pleased with the service and would use them again.

It wasn?t a terribly difficult fix but what was great about them was that they were very fast. They came out on a Sunday and it was over 100 degrees and a lot of air conditioners had been going out, but they had extra people on staff. They came out to help everybody out. They were out within about an hour and a half of me calling them. They were great, and they did good work. My unit is still running. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future if necessary.

The drain in my bathroom shower was slow draining and during the previous two days, I used a gallon of drain cleaner to unclog the drain, but it did little good. Saturday morning the shower drain was not draining at all. I called the plumber I ususally use and was quoted a weekend rate at 1-1/2 times the regular fee. Said no thanks, I'll wait until Monday. Then I perused Angie's list and found Ace Plumbing. My phone call was immediately answered and an appointment was made between 1-3. The plumber arrived shortly after 1:00 and proceeded to "snake" the drain. After attempts with 2 different pieces of equipment, he informed me that he would have to go under the house and change out the shower trap and connection line. He quoted me an amount well over $700.00 but explained everything that needed to be done and offered to let me think it over and return at a later date. Of course my shower would not be working in the meantime. Since my neighbor had a similar problem a few weeks before hand, I knew he was not looking for more work. Since my house is almost 50 years old, it seemed reasonable to me although I didn't like the surprise. He left for a few minutes to get the materials he needed to do the job. Promptly returned and completed the work within a couple hours. Did a pretty good job of cleaning up after himself and the cost in the end was 10% less than he first quoted. The shower drains fine and I'm a happy customer.

The service that they provided was good and there was nothing that was extraordinary. It was just kind of a routine thing. I have used them about three or four times in the past and I would use their services in the future too.

Sunday was the first day of this summer that we attemped to turn on our air conditioner, however; sadly it do not start up. My husband looked in the phone book and called Ace to set an appointment. Ray was quick to answer the phone and set an appoinment for the next day - Monday - at 8am. On monday Ray called 15 minutes to eight to let us know that he was on his way over and would be here shortly. When Ray arrived he was courteous and knowledge. He diagnosed the problem quickly; which lucky for us was just a blown fuse. He replaced the fuse, educated us on how to increase the life of our unit and cleared out the back side of unit to increase effiecieny . We were both so satisfied with Ray that we booked another appointment with him for tomorrow to service our daughters air conditioner. We do not look forward to any problems; however if and when we have any issues with our heat, air, or plumbing, Ace will be our GO TO shop.

I have only lived in the house for less than a week. The cleanouts were not installed correctly, so the size of the cleanout for half the line is too small to fit the regular root cutter. He used the smaller snake to get as much of the roots as possible (half the line) however the other half, he used the larger root cutter since the cleanout is standard 4". After he cleaned it out, he ran a camera (half the line from the 4" cleanout) and it still showed roots, but he did not re run the rootcutter/snake. I got a free estimate for replacement of the line and installing proper cleanouts. 3 days later the same backup occurred. I called to find out if they waranted the work, and they said no, so i had to spend another $300 to have another plumber come out. I felt like they should have come back out and at least cleaned out the roots that they left behind the first time.
