And when I had someone else out for a 2nd opinion, the part listed on Ace's invoice was NOT the part that was bad and needed replacing so they LIED too. SHAMEFUL!!!! Not only did I NOT have them fix the heater for the $577 estimate, I waited to pay them for the service call.

First: They do not charge by the job as stated in the description. They charge by the hour. Second: The main presenting problem was that our back bathroom toilet was stopped up. The plumber came and stated that he cleaned out the drain. However, he did not use the external clean out even after my husband pointed it out to him and asked specifically if he wanted to use the external clean out. Not surprisingly, it is now January 26 and we are waiting for emergency service from another plumber because in reality, the drain pipe was not fully cleaned out. Since the plumber from Ace came, we actually have not been able to use the back shower because the shower keeps backing up. So the cleanout job was not complete and not properly done. I (the wife) only found out today that the plumber refused to use the outdoor cleanout; I had assumed the job had been properly done from the outside cleanout. Third: Was our toilet cracked or not? We will never know for sure, but here is what happened: It was leaking, in addition to being backed up, when the plumber came. He took it off the floor, inspected it, and pronounced it fine. However, when reattaching it, it cracked. To their credit, Ace paid for a new toilet; we did have to pay for labor, but I felt that was fair since he would have had to take off and reattach the original toilet and we would have paid for that time. We did not have to pay for the time he was at Home Depot buying a new toilet. Overall, I was pleased with the service when the plumber left that day and did not feel ripped off. However, the continued backing up of the toilet into the shower, and finding out tonight that he didn't use the outdoor cleanout, plus seeing them say on this site that they charge by the job rather than by time, are upsetting me enough that I feel compelled to write. The plumber was very prompt, punctual and professional. Until I found out that he didn't use the cleanout, which seeems like an inappropriate shortcut, I had no complaints about him. Now, I would mark down the quality of service, as seen in the overall grade.

Initially went well. Would have liked more warning regarding when tech was going to arrive other than "I'm parked in front of your house." I arrived home at the appointed window of time. Explained to the tech that my wall mount kitchen faucet had a leak and that it was a washerless faucet purchased within the last several years. He turned off water, undid the cartridges and indicated that he thought they were clogged with sediment. He wiped them, reinserted and turned on water. There seemed to be no leak. As it took approximately 20 minutes I was charged the service call price, plus the additional 15 minute add on which made the bill $108. Within approximately 5 minutes after he left the leak started again. I called Ace and let them know the leak was back. They sent the Tech back out. He pulled the cartridge back out and indicated that he did not have anything on the truck to match. Said he would go to Home Depot to check on them. He came back with no success. Told me I needed to purchase a commercial grade wall mount faucet and that he would try to find me one. I received a call the next day that he found one for $400, which did not include installation. I indicated that was too high. By Friday, I had not heard anything else from him or ACE and the leak had now gotten so bad that I was filling pots of water. I ended up going to Brothers' Plumbing and from their selection of wall mount kitchen faucets took home a faucet in hand and installed it myself. I received a text message from the Tech indicating he would email me a deal on a faucet. When I messaged him back and said I received no email, that I had purchased a faucet and installed it and asking him to please speak to whomever about refunding my money - I received no response. I have used ACE before and was very happy with them. The main reason I called them this time was because they have a truck that seems to have virtually every supply on it. I thought I would give the tech the chance to speak to his boss about my situation and refunding my money as I did not receive a repair. When I received no response - I felt even more upset than I did the two days I spent watching my leaking faucet get worse. There is no shut off under the sink. To shut off the faucet in the kitchen meant shutting off the entire house. I did not want a commercial faucet. If the leak could not be repaired with a cartridge I was more than happy to have a standard, non-fancy wall mount faucet. I took time off from work to come home and meet him. I was willing to pay for the installation although I know how to replace a faucet. I was willing to pay because my hands get swollen and it's difficult at times to loosen/tighten bolts/fittings. The Tech indicated that he had called his boss to make him aware of the situation, so I'm surprised that I received no follow up call from ACE regarding the situation.

I just had ACE Plumbing in my home. The cold weather played a part in my upstairs bathroom toilet leaking. With 14 relatives 8 day away from arriving for Christmas, I was in a real need to get this taken care of. My worries quickly turned to success as ACE came in and within three hours solved the problem. Bret was very proffesional and in my opinion the money was very well spent. Instead of 2 - 3 hours, Adrian was there within an hour and half. Showed him the problem and he had it repaired well within 30 minutes. He answered all my questions. The whole problem was taken care of in less the 2 hours once I got home and found the water flooding the back yard. I am having a bathroom remodel done in the next few months - replacing the tub with walkin shower, replace vanity + any repairs to the drywall and green board and will definitely be calling ACE to have that done.

I called Ace Plumbing around 8:30 am because of leaking water pipe in bathroom sink. Person told me they would have someone here between 9:00 and 11:00, probably closer to 9:00. Zack arrived at approximately 9:30 assessed the situation and began working to repair the leak. While trying to remove the leaking pipe it broke off due to age. He had to cut a hole in the wall to get to the waterline in order to make the repair. Zack made the repair on this line and also replaced the other lead. not aneasy job since the lines were under the bathroom cabinet, which meant he had to make the repairs under the cabinet laying on his back. Zack was professional, experenced and friendly. Good job

I called at 5p.m. on Saturday because our toilet valve was leaking and we had to shut off the water in our house or risk major damage to the floor and wall behind our toilet. I called and explained my situation and was told, "Well, no one can come out tonight because I'm the only one here and I'm only taking emergencies." I asked, "So the fact that we can't have the water turned on in our house right now doesn't qualify as an emergency?" I was told someone could come the next day and that was the best he could do. I'm not sure what it takes to get Ace to come out in an "emergency" but you can guarantee I won't be wasting my time calling them again.

Called for a estimate on fixing a couple of leaks. Zack responded to the call. He was very knowledgable and was willing to repair the old hot water heater rather than replace. It was operating just fine except for the valve leak after I had flushed the system. Cold water in shower couldn't shut off and Zack rebuilt it since the parts were old. All seems to be working just fine and was done within 45 minutes. I had cut out a 15% off coupon from phone book but forgot to use it:(

I had to get a lot of repairs done in the house. They informed me that it could not be kept to leak so I hired a handyman who opened up the wall on both the bathroom and the bedroom side. They found that the shower pipe was leaking and replaced it; the leaking stopped so I am very disappointed with them. I was not happy with them. I went back to my insurance company and showed them where they did the leak detection test. I informed them that I hired a handyman who found the problem as well.

Adrian Nistor was the plumber. he was fast and efficient and polite. If you call Ace Plumbing, ask for Adrian, as not all the plumbers are equally professional

I had a bad experience, (read below), but a manager followed up and inquired about the experience. I was then refunded about 1/2 of what I originally paid and sent two coupon/gift certificates for future service, which shows an effort to make things right. I admired the effort to set things right. first of all, 2 plumbers showed up and said i had to pay them each for their services, even though only one plumber was doing the work. Second, they were very intimidating, telling me i needed to make my decision quick about the repair because they were charging me for every minute they were there. They said i should probably pay the 400 dollar flat service fee because if i paid for parts and labor there was no telling what else might go wrong (even though all i needed was a new PVC joint to replace the broken one, a 30 minute job max!) in the end I said i would fix it myself, so they put in a copper stopper so i could use water in rest of the house until i could fix / replace pipe part. for 30 minutes of work they charged me 250 dollars.

Due to a large tree in my front yard, this was a problem that went from clearing the line every year or so to replace it now. I called Ace and they came within the hour. After clearing the line, they sent their camera through and the problem had worsened considerably. Bret explained exactly what they would do and the timeline the work would take and the job went exactly as he said it would. He could not have been more helpful throughout the entire job. In addition to the line replacement, several years ago I had a clean out put in near the house. I didn't know about what was required or what would be best and the plumber put in a one way, which Ace repaced with a two way as part of the job. When the final inspection was complete, they refilled the holes and then (this is what makes them special) a placed the extra soil in a low area where I had a palm tree removed a few years ago. Job site clean up could not have been better and Bret could not have been more professional, helpful or just plain nice. I would highly recommend Ace for any plumbing problem!

Their service was okay and the work was fine. The work was complicated and it was a huge task. They charged me over $5,000 for their services. They also wanted another $3,000 to repair the driveway that they had to rip out. I don’t know how the prices are elsewhere.

They were good and my experience with them went well. They were fast, arrived here quickly, and they were friendly.

It was the first hot weekend. Our AC unit was sitting silent as a rock, even though the furnace fan was going, it was 83 in the house and the thermostat was set at 78. I called Ace on the recommendation of a co-worker. They came the same day, late afernoon so I didn't have to leave work too early. Mike was pleasant and professional. He looked at the whole HVAC system. Yeah, I know -- our HVAC is the developer's special in a tract house built in 1993. It wasn't great to begin with and we have definitely gotten our money's worth. I will be calling Ace for a bid on replacing the furnace and AC. I know it's time -- I just keep wondering how much longer the AC will last.

lInitially, when I set up the appointment, I asked for just an estimate. But when the plumber came, I explained the problems we were having (slow draining in a half bath), and he immediately started work on it. He used shoe covers to avoid tracking dirt in the house. He kept the area clean and free of debris that came back with the snake when he was working. I didn't realize that I did not get an estimate up front until after he was well into his work. By that time it was too late to back out. I don't have that much experience with plumbers, so I did not think to ask that he run the snake several times to ensure that the drain was very clear. I also didn't look closely at the caulking that was applied. The next day I noticed that there were several spots around the toilet that were missing caulking. I thought the price was a little high, especially when there were spots missing caulking around the toilet after it was applied. I would have felt much more satisfied if the drain had been more thoroughly cleared, and no missing caulking spots were found.

I'm doing this from memory, because it was about a year ago. I was easily able ot make an appointment for the next day. Plumber showed up on time, and promptly commenced work. He was courteous, professional, and quick. It took about 1/2 hour to complete the job and he had all the parts and tools he needed. Kept the work area and my home clean, and did an excellent job of fixing for a reasonable price.

Very professional. Discussed options. Very responsive.

They were good. He was on time, prompt and thorough. Their price was within all the other price ranges that I've checked.

Ben arrived promptly and knew right away what the problem was. It took Ben less than an hour to do everything he needed to do and he only charged me for the cost of the initial visit. I have dogs who like to help everyone do their work. Ben had no problem with the dogs and actually gave them a bit of attention, which made them happy. I've been looking for a new plumber and will certainly call Ace again should I need one.

I have been very pleased with Ace's service. They cleared a sewer pipe at one half the cost of a local highly advertised company which charged "by the job" and the pressured me into extra overpriced service.

They were here 10 minutes before their "window". I expected days to pass between estimate, selecting a replacement, and installation. The new toilet was in and functioning within half an hour of their first visit. We were very pleased.

I have used Ace Plumbing for countless plumbing jobs over the years -- new pipes, drain repair, sewer ejector pump replacement, and other minor plumbing problems. Ace and their team of professional plumbers have always been prompt, courteous and professional -- and they get the job done right the first time. My latest experience with Ace was this month when I needed to have an insta-hot water kitchen appliance replaced. The skilled technician/plumber was Tony Ferrante and he was terrific! Tony quickly diagnosed the problem and ordered my new part immediately. He called several times to tell me the status of my parts order -- and then when it came in, called to schedule an installation date. I loved the follow-up which is so rare with service companies. Obviously, I will continue to do business with Ace whenever I have a plumbing problem. Chris
