Thought this 67-year-old lady could do it herself (watch a lot of DIY), but ran into a problem when I couldn't get the old valve out of the wall and the water kept dripping even though all valves were shut down. Flooded my master bath room somewhat and leaked onto the floor of my adjoining main bathroom. Was totally anxious when I called Ace Plumbing for emergency help. Parker arrived in about an hour to fix my mess, and he did a quick and excellent job. Knew exactly what needed to be done, which relieved my anxiety.

They took a long time coming back but he fixed the drain.

I was pleased that Ace was able to fit me in on the day I called. The receptionist was very professional and courteous. When the workmen arrived (within the agreed upon time) I explained that water was coming out of the air gap when the dishwasher was in use. Moreover, there was water leaking under the sink from the hose that connects the disposal to the air gap. I had observed a crack in the hose and it was brittle. They said that was normal, and they didn't want to charge me if there was nothing wrong. I was a bit taken aback, as my previous experience had indicated that when water emerged from the air gap during the use of the dishwasher, that was a problem; usually a clog somewhere. In addition, the hose was cracked and brittle. I said that to the workers and they agreed that water shouldn't emerge from the air gap "normally". I pointed out that it usually meant there was a clog somewhere, but I couldn't find it. Hence, my call to them. I was frustrated by this point, as I expect plumbing professionals to know more than me. They suggested that I turn on the dishwasher so that could see it in action. I did so, and within about 30 seconds, they said that they didn't see a leak or water coming out of the air gap. I pointed out that it happens further along in the cycle. I also pointed out the crack in the hose that I had found earlier. Rather than wait that for the dishwasher to cycle all the way through, they finally agreed that water should not leak or come out of the air gap. They removed the hose and found no clog. They then said that the problem must be a worn out air gap and a brittle hose. They replaced both parts with new and when we tested it everything was fine. After they left I ran the dishwasher all the way through the cycle and there were no leaks anywhere. This was a strange experience with a highly rated company. Maybe the workers were having an "off" day, but the entire experience was a bit frustrating. Once they decided to change out the parts, their demeanor changed and they worked quickly and efficiently. Despite their sluggish start, I would probably use them again. Like I said, they are rated very highly, and everyone has an off day now and again. I found the price a bit high, even with my Angie's List coupon. That said, I think the price reflects the market rate. Which is also frustrating as I guess the cost of plumbing repairs has really gone up.

the initial problem was the leaking shower head. Bruce of Ace Plumbing installed new inner workings on the shower valve, after discovering that the old valve was corroded. He also cleaned out the drain of the sink for improved draining. He made two trips back to my home to bring in the new part. The shower is now working well, and there is no more leaking.

This is a home built in 1950, so it had cast iron and galvanized pipe which finally started leaking. Bruce was able to replace the section of old rusted pipe with new plastic pipe and the trap assembly, and all is well now. Scott Faulk, the general manager of Ace Plumbing was very quick to contact me about this issue and coordinate the time that Bruce would be here. I would highly recommend Ace Plumbing to anyone and I will use them again if any other issues need repair.

Used the Angie special for a $75 outside faucet replacement. Quick and well done. Also had him check toilet for slow filling mechanism. No leaks. But replaced because it was old. Good job. Would use again. Quick and professional.

Josh O'Connor came on time, was.very professional , polite and very respectful: I didn't feel embarrassed about my messy house. I had been putting off the repairs for months, worried that I couldn't afford to pay for the service. I had previously hired a plumber a little over 6 months ago and was charged over $345 with a problem with the toilet not flushing and the sewer line was unplugged. I couldn't afford another charge close to that so didn't get it done until Angie's $75 deal came up, I decided I needed to get this done and hoped that it wouldn't cost a lot. Within a short time, all the issues were fixed. I could not believe it when he presented me the bill. Total bill came out to $108.....minus $75 for Angie's deal and $20 additional discount. I paid a total of $13! So $13 + $75 =$88 I will be recommending Ace Plumbing Heating & Air Conditioning to everyone. Even without the deal their prices are super reasonable for a plumber. The plumber was on time and very courteous and professional. He assessed the problem, explained what he thought the problem was, and changed the cylinder in the faucet. The leak is gone. I am very pleased.

**Update 8/22/2014** Scott from Ace called me today after reading my Angie's List review and: 1. Offered to replace the broken toilet seat and said he'd spoken to the tech about how to prevent similar breaks in the future 2. Assured me that he'd spoken with the tech regarding the cleanup issues I'd raised and didn't think they'd be a problem in the future 3. Less than three hours later, they did in fact drop off a very good quality new replacement seat. 4. Based on Ace's caring enough to read my review and take steps to address the negatives I'd experienced, I upgraded my overall rating to an "A" and will call them in the future for any needed plumbing work. I really appreciate them taking the time to follow up on this. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Technician arrived during the stated time window and was very courteous and communicated well. Didn't give an estimate as to how long he expected the service to take or how much the parts he'd be using would cost, so I assumed the costs for both would be reasonable and decided to just keep an eye on the time and check on cost if it appeared the call would take over 3 hours. Parts used for the repairs appear to be average quality. One toilet flapper had a slow leak after installation, so I had to call and ask for a return visit. The return visit happened the next day and I wasn't charged for it. Positives: Appointments scheduled quickly, courteous employees with good customer communications skills. The plumbing work was done well. Negatives: Technician didn't seem too concerned with post-work cleanup of work areas. I had to replace the tank top on two of the toilets myself after he left. Also found a large part on the floor of one bathroom. While working on one toilet, he sat on the closed toilet lid, and cracked one of the plastic/rubber stops that keeps the lid from impacting the seat. During the service call, he checked our sewer connection, which involved opening an access cover on our driveway and apparently removing some dirt. The dirt was left on the driveway. When I set up the service call, I let them know I was interested in having two faucets replaced, but the tech had no faucets with him and told me there'd be a charge for him to go to the warehouse and pick some up. Guess I assumed if faucet replacement was a possibility, they might bring some out on the call.

Had to call them out a second time, as one leak wasn't completely repaired, but they didn't charge me for this visit,a s they at least provided a quarantee on all their work, which was good.

Parker came out to meet my scheduled time needs. He was extremely professional and gave me a bid for all the work. He was on time for the job and worked quietly and quickly. I had another contractor on site and they all cooperated with each other. Parker gave me my Angie's discount which was fabulous, and he cleaned up after himself. I liked it so much I have asked for a bid to replace 2 toilets and sinks with cabinets. I trust Parker and he is a great representative of Ace Plumbing. I am going to recommend this company to my friends at work.

Was not to happy that they took payment from my tenant 100 percent a day in advance of the job. Otherwise the work was great.

We moved out of our home and were fixing it up to be a rental. About a week after we moved we noticed there was a huge water spot/stain on our wood floors in the living room (adjacent to the kitchen). At first we thought that maybe our painter had spilled some paint and cleaned it up leaving the spot. But a few days later the spot was still there, and it had grown and was obviously water. My husband then noticed a small, fine spray coming out of the exposed water line. It appeared that it had been leaking very slowly for quite some time and it probably just started leaking faster when we disconnected the old refrigerator when we moved. Ace came out and did just what we wanted. We asked him to just shut it down. We didn't want it fixed, as we didn't want the liability in a rental anyway. That's what he did!

I called the office around 11:am needing someone to come out and do a relatively small job and was greeted by a very nice and professional receptionist. Being that my job was small I never expected a service call that same day but true to what I was told over the phone the service person was at my house within 2 hours to fix my problem. He was very professional and polite and gave my wife and I options as to how he can fix our problem. He immediately got to work and did a fine job. To my surprise the cost was even less then I had expected. We are very happy with our experience with Ace Plumbing.

Needed a gas line modification in order to install a new range. Ace Technician James quickly and professionally reconfigured the line to accept the replacement range. On the same service call, James also quickly and professionally cleared a clogged bathtub drain in the adjacent rental. We're very pleased with the responsiveness, quality, and fair price of the work performed.

As a landlord I have many plumbing needs and require a trustworthy plumber that I can depend on. Ace Plumbing started work for me about 3 years ago. The last job (approx. 1 year ago) was left incomplete. Had my renter not called I would have not known that Ace Plumbing failed to back fill the gaping whole dug out to expose the city main. The requested service was paid in full and abandoned. I had to call Scott in order for the service I paid for to get done. Fast forward, 04/08/14 I called Scott requesting a bid on a new job. Reminded Scott of my previous negative experience, Scott's response was to blame the plumber that was assigned to that project. NOT a good answer. Regardless, I gave Ace plumbing the opportunity to redeem themselves. Upon receipt of the bid for the new project I was stunned to find the estimated cost to be literally double that of their competitors. Should you chose to do business with the company be prepared for high cost and YOU must take responsibility for confirming that the job is being completed as written in the bid.

A year ago our toilet was leaking and we were turning the valve that shuts off the water below the toilet to flush it then one night it exploded. He came out and fixed it. Then it began to leak again and he came out again and fixed it quickly.

Overall, the job was done well and went fine. We were installing a new faucet in the garage sink and found the shut-off valve for the house had rusted, was leaking, and needed to be replaced. Of course, it was Christmas Eve morning, so we expected it was going to cost more than usual. A friend recommended ACE. The work was done well, and we went ahead and had the plumber install the faucet since he was there, although we'd planned to do it ourselves. The problem was that when he was done he went over and sat on the side of the house by the shut-off valve to write the invoice up for the work he'd done, assumedly to itemize the parts he'd used. I knew he'd finished the work so I went out a couple of times to see what was going on and he was sitting on the grass writing away. It probably took him 25 minutes to write up the bill. When I got it I was floored...he'd included the time it took him to write up the invoice as part of the labor charge. I figured it was a Christmas bonus and let it go. When I told my friend who recommended ACE how much we paid, she was stunned. I don't know if it's SOP to charge for the time it takes to write up an invoice. I should have called the office, but it was the holidays and I just never got to it. They do decent work if you can afford it.
