Ace Plumbing Heating & Air Conditioning

Ace plumbing is really prompt, comes in the night and doesn't charge extra for it! Called at 7 pm, they were there by 9pm.They repaired my ailing water heater around thanksgiving. Unfortunately, it was beyond repair. Since it only lasted a couple months, they gave me a good discount off of replacing the whole thing.

He unclogged it and made some inexpensive suggestions as to what I could do if it happens again. They came out about a half hour after I made my call to them. Very friendly, very professional. They aren't cheap, but they are professional and get the job done. I will definitely recommend them.

They were real responsive. They came the next day after I called them. They did a good job.

Charge is by 15 min, regular cost is $69.50, for an hour, is $270.00. We are talking plumbing. their charge is more expensive than somebody with a PH,D . with discount from Angie's list, 69.50 for the first 30 min, every 15 min is 38.50. clock starts from the moment they arrive and which includes, walking back and forth their truck. cost is not commensurate with service. It is astronomical!

Set up appointment right away as our dishwasher installer told us the drain was clogged. They came out the next day, checked the drain, and determined it was not clogged. Not sure what he did, but when he left the drain was clear and the dishwasher installer was easily able to connect and install.

He responded to Angie's list emails efficiently. Came to the house on time - was very professional, courteous, knowledgeable (my wife worked with the plumber since I was not home). He quickly (and correctly) figured out the problem, left the house to go buy the part, returned and quickly put the new part in. Then gave my wife a large bill to go on top of the coupon price. Although he didn't say how much he had paid for the part he went to buy, I doubt it would be more that the original total fixture cost so to have to pay so much more than the original coupon cost for the additional time and unit replacement price seems like quite a lot more than reasonable to me. So did he do a great job with the plumbing problem and fixed it correctly - yes. Was the price, we believe too high for the service - yes. Would we use him again - depends, no one wants to generally feel like they're paying more for a service than they should - especially when they already paid $69 for service call plus $20 towards repair. It certainly doesn't feel like a "special deal" as advertised on Angie's List daily email offers in the end. Great service provider - yes. Great deal - we don't think so.

It went really well. I had a fellow come in, he was very professional, very personable. I'm very pleased with what we got. He was about 23 or 24 years old, and just very, very professional.

Great was able to fix current pipe without a major repair saving me a lot

Over Christmas we discovered a leak in my guest bathroom toilet. I was unable to determine the leak but assumed it came from my improper installation of the toilet a year earlier. So I turned here to Angie's List to find a plumber. One of the first things that showed up upon my search was a $75 special for this company. I figured 75 would be a good price for diagnosis and repair (assuming a simple fix of the installation). They were very prompt and courteous in setting up an appointment time. They gave me a two hour window of when the plumber would show up. Definitely a good appointment window. The plumber arrived at 3, right in the middle of the 2-4 window I was quoted. He did call about 15 minutes out to let me know he was on his way. I really appreciated that. He arrived and quickly assessed that the toilet needed just needed a new wax seal. A job I could have easily done on my own, but he was the professional and would be quicker at fixing it. He then asked me to provide "old towels" for the water. That was okay, I understand that. It took him over 45 minutes to fix the toilet. Probably about the same time It would take for me. I remember when I installed the toilet, it took only an hour and half for removal of the old and installation of the new. But he was working alone. I get it would take some time. When he was done he went to settle the bill. I will admit this is the first time using a plumber so I am inexperienced with pricing but I was shocked I had to pay an additional $50 for the service. However, my toilet doesn't leak so I am happy. I really just marked down this company on its price. It might be fair, and I needed to read the fine print better but it was still a shock to me. Moral of the story for me, is to pay the $89 installation fee from Home Depot next time I purchase a new toilet.

Punctual and professional. Had no trouble with repairing the hot water heater. Kept me apprised at every step of the job. I've used Ace many times before. If emergency, they are immediate. They are always reliable and courteous. Prices are on the higher side, but they guarantee their work and do a good job.

Overall prompt and timely, professional in replacing the water heater.

Brett had the new cartridge in his truck, consequently the repair was done in less than an hour.

It was a simple job, but I did not want to risk disconnecting the washer to get to the dryer. They did fine.

He methodically checked what the problem was, based on my descripition.Found the problem with both, requiring some basic modifications and presto both, worked fantastic again,saving me the purchase of a new disposal.Walked me through what he had done so that I might avoid the same inconvenience in the future.Could`nt be more satisfied with his service!

I expected that if it was going to take longer/cost more than the BD covered I would receive an estimate for any additional cost prior to the work being done. After trying to explain this, I talked to Scott who eventually mentioned that they should just reverse all of the work they'd done and leave things as if no work was performed. He claimed that Angie's List got all of the money from the deal and that he got none of it. Also, the toilet tank is now actually leaking onto the floor, which it wasn't doing before they came and did work.

Fine. Didn't take very long.

We had purchased some toilet kits and he used one, but the valve wasn't included and it was quite worn and probably was the prime culprit. I wasn't home and my wife was and I talked to him while he was at the house and said we needed the valve and he could go to find one, but he would have to charge us for the time. I said no, I would go to try to find it and he said, after talking with his boss, that if I got one he would come back to install it for no charge. We found one at Home Depot, just a couple of bucks, he came within a couple of days and installed it and every thing works fine. Tony was always very friendly and professional.

This was our first experience with Ace Plumbing. I had decided to use them based on reviews here, and when I saw their TV ad this week offering $50 off any service, that motivated me to give them a try. It could not have been a better experience. The call to schedule was answered promptly and they gave me a wide choice of 2 hour windows that suited my schedule. As I was told, we received a call from their plumber, Bret, letting me know he was on his way. It was within the time promised, as well. Bret was courteous and went over the scope of work, telling us that due to the age of the house, (60 years), if the leaky pipe broke off, he might have complications and have to open the wall. We understood and told him to proceed. As luck would have it, the old pipe came out in one piece and he was done in less than 20 minutes! He confirmed we had the $50 discount and gave us a nicely detailed, itemized invoice for $87.00 including all parts. We would certainly recommend Ace Plumbing and will call them the next time we have a plumbing issue.

Technician cleared the clog and actually cleared it several times until I was completely satisfied!!

He fixed them and switched around my fixtures. Everything went well and he was on time. He was very polite.

Bruce showed up within the scheduled window. I had told the receptionist when placing my order that I the seats were worn and needed replacement. Bruce showed up with the proper tools to extract the old seats and had a divider box full of possible replacement seats. When he got the most worn one out he commented that he had never seen a seat that popped in rather than being screwed in, and wasn't sure if he had the right one with him. My faucet mixer is likely the original installed when the house was built in 1958, so I had been concerned about that. But Bruce looked in his little box and, voila!, he found two that matched! He quickly installed them and put new washers in place and reassembled the faucets. He leak tested the repair before finishing up. I had used an offer I had received by email the day before for a $69 service call, with the $$ applied toward the repair. This deal amounted to a half hour of work, and darned if Bruce didn't complete the job that quickly. I was immensely pleased to get this job done for only $69. Bruce commented that many plumbers probably would have wanted to sell me a new mixer, requiring removing the tile and going into the wall at a cost of $900+. But he said he preferred to fix the old equipment when possible because it is often made better.

Took advantage of Angie's List Special for $79 Ace would replace my home's outside faucet. This faucet only leaked through the handle when it was turned on (while I replaced the rubber gaskets, the faucet was original to the house). Set an appointment and requested Parker, who had satisfactorily helped me a few days earlier with another issue. Appointment date came and no Parker, was informed he was busy on another job. So Josh checked out my exterior faucet and noted that it was soldered and he needed to replace the whole hose bib which would cose more than the $79 advertised special I had already paid. My sprinkler assembly was also attached to this water outlet. Long story short, by the time Josh left I had paid Ace about $177 (much more than the $79 that I so naively thought I'd wind up paying). A couple of hours after Josh left I noticed that even though the faucet was turned off, there was a leak where the new pipe connected to an existing elbow (it appeared to have been scorched when the new assembly was installed) which connected to my sprinkler assembly. Called Ace and Josh came back at the end of the day. He said he had fixed the leak by replacing the elbow, however, appears he replaced parts of my sprinkler assembly which now leak. Again, I have a leak in the area that was just replaced, which had never before leaked.
