Superior Garage Door

We called Superior Garage Door of Riverside because it had such good ratings on Angie's List. Now we see why. We originally called because we had a broken spring on our old wood tilt-up single door. When Scott came, he showed us the very worn hinge on our double door; the bolt holding the hinge together was about to break and the metal parts were wearing thin in places. Scott was very helpful, saying he could use the good springs on the big door to replace the ones on the little door, since the new hinges on the big door would require new springs. Since we had been thinking about getting new roll-up doors anyway, we decided to get new doors instead of replacing the hinges on the big door and the spring on the little one. Scott had to add on to the outside post between the doors because of the wider support post inside the garage. He also had to install special rails because of the low beam above the doors. He handled these complications with professional expertise. Scott came on time with everything he needed. He did superior work in a timely manner. I really like the fact that the owner does all the work himself. He first added on to the outside post between the doors. He made it look as if it had been built that way, though we had to paint the wood ourselves. He installed the special rails and both the single and double roll-up doors himself. He installed a new better opener. He did the entire job in a day. Now we have beautiful doors with windows and weather-stripping. We have an opener with an electronic safety beam to reverse the door if the beam is interrupted. The old wood tilt-up doors will go with a non-profit to Mexico to be used as pre-fab walls for housing for those in need. The metal will be recycled. He hauled everything away and left a completely clean and swept-up garage. We were very pleased with his competence, honesty, and high-quality work. He also gave us a discount for paying in cash.

LOOK NO FURTHER! If you need a new garage door or just a service on an existing garage door Superior Garage Door is the best! This family owned business has been a delight to work with from beginning to end. Their prices are very competitive, they're honest, they do not try to sell you anything you do not need, in fact to save me money Scott suggested that I could have my existing door insulated; however, we decided we wanted a new door with a new look. Scott arrived on time for the quote and we were called when Scott was delayed for a short time on the day of installation. Scott and his son took great care when installing the new garage door, making sure the door was spotless after installation. Also, Scott informed me that the manufacturer had packaged the wrong rollers for the door and that he would be replacing them within the week. I would have never noticed or known that if Scott had not told me. Very honest and trustworthy. Tisha in the office is very knowledgeable and helpful, she was patient with me and provided the information I needed to make panel and window selections. I will continue to refer Superior Garage Door and use them for any needs that arise in the future. Great experience all the way around!

Arrived on time to place a quote for a new garage door with quiet motor. There was no pressure sales. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Returned on Sunday, Nov. 24th and removed our old broken wooden garage door (hauled away) and replaced it with a beautiful motor powered garage door! Looks perfect for my house with a great price! Would recommend to family and friends! Very please with this business!

I called for an over the phone quote of the cost of replacing our garage doors. They were very nice and the price was great. I called them back, told them I wanted to go with them. They said they would come out with samples and measure the doors, and that I was under no obligation to buy if I didn't see what I wanted. I had them order the doors, a week later they installed the doors, hauled the old away. Very polite and professional.

My garage door was working just fine, then suddenly it wasn't. Previous to calling Superior Garage Doors, two other companies had come to see my door and determine the problem. Both companies told me the same thing, " the whole thing will have to be replaced." Niether company bothered to actually get up on a latter and LOOK AT the motor. They both told me that it was obvious the motor was burned out and even after i asked them to LOOK at it, they said that they didn't need to, that they knew what was wrong and that the only option was to replace the whole thing. One company quoted $390.00 and the other $300.00. I called Superior, they came out right away and the FIRST THING the technician did was GET ON A LATTER AND LOOK AT THE MOTOR and wiring! He unplugged the unit, waited a few seconds and plugged it in again. IT WORKED PERFECTLY! He said i probably had a power surge and that most garage door openers had sensors that shut down the unit when a power surge or failure occurs. The only thing you need to do is unplug them for a few seconds to reset the unit. He checked out everything else on my garage door opener and said everything looked fine. He charged me $39.00..... How Wonderful it is to find a service company that has WELL TRAINED and HONEST personnel!! Two different companies lied to me to make a buck. SUPERIOR HAS EARNED THIER NAME. Thank You, Superior! You have earned a customer for life, and i will tell everyone i know what a great and honest company you are! And Thanks, Angie's List, for helping me find them.

My garage door spring broke on Saturday and I purchased a service coupon from Angies list. On Monday I called Superior and requested the service. My garage door was repaired and in service by 12 noon that day. Great service and price!!.

One of my torsion springs broke the night before. I went on Angie's list in the morning to find a reliable service to replace the springs and located Superior Garage Door. Just so happened they had a coupon for $199 to replace torsion springs and tune up the garage door. I contacted Superior Garage Door for service and was given a window of 9-11 am for service the same day. "Lucky" was at my home shortly after 9.00am and replaced both the torsion springs and tuned up my door - greased the door opener screw, hinges etc. I had discussed the noise factor with my door (old 24 gauge steel door) and inquired about newer quiet doors but after "lucky" serviced my door it was so much more quiet. Couldn't hardly believe the difference it made. "Lucky" really knew his trade, was very professional, personable and a treat as a service repair person. If I have garage door issues in the future I certainly will contact Superior Garage Door for service.

Superior Garage Doors are an absolute joy to work with. They were punctual, efficient, and pleasant. The initial assessment, their recommendation, and the actual installation were all wonderful. The job was done right. We have a beautiful new garage door that works great and we couldn't be more pleased.

Just bought a house and the garage door was not working. Tried fixing/realigning the tracks myself and was able to get it working intermittently but still not consistently. The garage door had a lot of resistance going up and down. Called Superior Garage Doors to come check it out. They sent out "Lucky" who quickly and efficiently diagnosed the problem. He changed the crossmember (which had been bent), tuned everything up and adjusted the openers. After he was done the garage door no longer whined/squeaked/creaked as it went up and down. It was a revelation because I just thought that that was how all garage doors were supposed to sound like. Amazing work and great prices! Going to have them tune up my parent's garage as well as the property I just purchased.

The tech, "Lucky", immediately saw the problem and was able to adjust the tracks so my rollers would stay inside the track. He lubed the door, adjusted the chain on the opener, adjusted the door alarm sensors and showed me proper way to lube the door, springs and hinges. The door works great and is markedly quieter when it opens and closes now. This was all covered under their 79.95 lube and check up service. Would definitely use them again.

A friend recommended Angie's list. So after calling Superior for an appointment, then I had to call Tisha to change the date twice and she was very sweet and patient with me. Scott arrived at my house on day and time promised . He was very courteous and knowledgable. He did an assessment and gave a good estimate which I felt was the best I had . The job was done same day in only a couple of hours. I'm so pleased with how quiet and great my door opens and closes. I will definitely call them again for service and recommend them to everyone.

Great Service- Door broke on Friday, locking one of our cars in the garage. They were here Saturday morning and quickly fixed it. Over the phone, they gave us a pretty accurate estimate. We had only called about one garage door, but we remembered that the other door we hardly use would go up but not down. Scott gave it a quick look and found that the wiring needed to be replaced and he quickly fixed that door too. He also pointed out a crack in the door in which he suggested a way to reinforce it, noting that overtime the crack will spread and we will eventually need to replace the door. It is nice to have the heads up and I know who we will call when that time comes!

We called Superior Garage Door after finding them on Angie's List and after getting another quote from a well known competitor. Superior came in under their bid and their service was great. We have already used them on another job and will continue to use them. They are reliable and quick to respond. With insurance work, we have to be extra careful that the job is done correctly and quickly. Superior Garage Door has met our expectations.

I was unable to open my garage door since the spring was broken and the door is too heavy to lift without help. I called late in the afternoon and they were at my home early the next morning. They were very prompt and on time. Price was as agreed upon. I will use them again.
