Description of Work: RKM tried very hard to upsell. The Angie's deal was for $259 for all vents in the house. The first thing the technician did on arrival is to open the furnace and sell the service to clean the heat exchanger for ~$800. Then was the offer to install a "NASA" based air scrubber technology (yeah, you must imagine the rigor in that!). When both were refused; it kind of went downhill. Symbolic work was performed. Cited non-access for 3 vents. Then had to cajole them to clean the return vents. Finally, they refused to clean return 'well' at the bottom of the furnace saying that they would have accessed and cleaned it if I would have signed up on the $800 furnace cleaning service. RKM uses Angie's promotions as a bait-and-switch platform.

Description of Work: They came out to clean my dryer duct.The first time all the blockage wasn't removed. But they gladly came back out, no charge, and got the job done. Very nice and very efficient. I will be using them in the future.

Description of Work: We called several companies after our clothes dryer stopped heating. RKM had good reviews and they were willing to come out within 2 days, the only company that didn't have a week or more wait. (They came out on New Year's Day, too!) Repairman figured out the problem (sensor) in minutes and was off and running for $139. But after he got the appliance pulled apart, he found 13 years worth of lent built up, which probably caused the overload of the sensor. For another $61, he cleaned out the entire inside of the unit. In and out in about 90 minutes, and the dryer works like new again. This company sells appliances, and when I asked him whether we should consider replacement, he said to keep repairing ours until they couldn't do it any more because the newer units are not as good as ours. That's integrity. Highly recommended.

Description of Work: Were called-in for the service of the HVAC heater not working. Michael was very up to date with the knowledge and experience to handle the service. Was very professional and performed an excellent job. Provided detailed explanation of the overall situation and options. Also, took additional time to provide feedback on the AC and ducting configuration around the attic. Very Positive experience.

Description of Work: Initially, RKM Heating and Air Conditioning provided a thorough diagnostic test to determine cause of heating problem (cost $39.00). Technician was very polite and professional and explained several possible options for the repair. After additional research on my part, I chose to contract the repair with RKM. Office staff was very responsive in getting the service date scheduled as quickly as possible; technician arrived on time and was courteous and professional. Repair was accomplished as estimated and for the price quoted. Very satisfied with the results and have already recommended them to a friend.

Description of Work: The provider does not provide service in my city. I have requested a reimbursement from Angie's List, but it has not yet been received weeks later(!!!!!

Description of Work: I bought the Angie's List A/C tuneup for $59. The technician checked it all out, added 2lbs refrigerant, recommended a more thorough cleaning and a capacitor replacement (which he did not have on his truck). I agreed to pay for the capacitor and refrigerant. Another tech came a few days later to replace the capacitor. After that the system would not start! The first guy came back, discharged and reinstalled the capacitor and then it worked. The $59 tuneup is obviously offered so they can discover stuff that can charge you for, but it's a good company. Very professional, responsive, friendly. I would use them again.
