We contracted Skyline Landscapes to fully overhaul our ~5,000 sq ft backyard and are thrilled with the results.  They followed our landscape architect's design flawlessly, and the results are gorgeous. A few specific things worth noting:      - Skyline's bid was very thorough and covered all changes in the landscape architect's design (Note: Some other companies who bid omitted key details) - When Francisco (Skyline's owner) made suggestions, they were very well thought through, improved the aesthetic, and added substantial value to the final results - I appreciated that when we made changes, Skyline gave us an incremental work estimate, so I never felt like there were any surprises      - They were very conscientious working during COVID.  The entire crew wore masks consistently and we felt very safe having them on our property.      - They were here and working every weekday meaning we never had to worry about if or when they were going to show up. This meant the project completed in line with estimates. Overall Skyline Landscapes were extremely professional, did an excellent job, and we would happily hire them again in the future. -Adam

Walter surveyed the yard and said he would have the bid to me late in the day. It never showed up on email or anywhere else. I phoned him twice asking about it, and he promised to get it to me that day. It never came.

We contacted Skyline Landscapes to implement our backyard landscape design that was done by a landscape architecture firm. The landscape design was complex requiring extensive grading to a steep lot, concrete work, decking, and hardscape. Francisco was prompt to see our lot, review the design and provide a detailed quote. Out of 4 bids we received his was just under the highest one but his knowledge, and experience made us confident that he will be the best to execute the project. The project started on time, and finished in 9 weeks as originally estimated, despite additional scope and changes that we requested along the way. We are very happy with our new backyard and we're very impressed with Francisco and his crew - they were very hardworking, professional and kept the work space tidy after each day. We highly recommend Skyline Landscapes.

Skyline came in at the last minute to finish a job another landscaper dropped last minute due to over-bookings.  Because time was of the essence (upcoming party) and finances were limited we didn't get exactly what we wanted and may not have been well advised by Skyline but we were happy with their work.

Francisco and Skyline did a great job completing our backyard "clean-up".  We had an issue with the new sod not taking for an unapparent reason and they replaced it at no cost.  We found them professional and hard-working.  Skyline continues to maintain our backyard on a bimonthly basis and does a nice job.

Francisco and his team did an amazing job on our home.  We had a very old, cracked concrete driveway and walkway, and our stairs were brick leading up to an old cement porch.  
His team replaced the walkway and driveway with pavers, overlaid flagstone over our stairs and porch, and added lights to the stair risers, as well as a few path lights and uplights under the trees in front of our house.  He also installed path lights along our driveway in a bed of rose trees.
Francisco took a lot of time with us to show us options for pavers and flagstone.  He took us to several places to show us different options and was very patient when we asked questions and made a few changes along the way.  Once the specs were nailed down, his crew started the work.  They really worked quickly and professionally; I work near my home so was able to come home during lunch and see the progress, and even though they had a lot of equipment out as they did their work, everything was very clean when they left, every day.  I was very impressed by that.  The whole job took just over two weeks, but we were not inconvenienced at all.
I would recommend this company to anyone looking to do some landscaping work.  We will use them again when it comes time to do some work in the backyard.  We got three bids for this job and the pricing was right in-line with other estimates we received.

Francisco is very nice, helpful and knowledgeable. The crew is hard working, respectful and does excellent work. Once we agreed to have the work done it took a few weeks to get started, but once they started they finished in a timely fashion. When we had questions , Francisco would reply in very fast though e-mail. The overall experience was very good.

Three major phases of work which were scoped and priced.
One was to grade an area to provide proper drainage and then install pavers; that was was done properly.
The second was to build an approximately 35 foot long rock wall and integrate it to an existing rock wall.  The owner, Francisco was very aware of the type of stone used in the existing rock wall, and he was very knowledgable;  too bad his team brought over the wrong stone and installed them anyway.  They also mis-matched existing gravel so it became a mess they were unable to clean-up.
The third was to repair an existing sprinkler zone.  That was the biggest disaster.  They cut the existing 24v sprinkler wire, and the housing which was protecting it.  They missed the repair zone completely, they didn?t follow the scope at all.  They built something I didn?t need, and ignored what was severely in need of repair.
Francisco sent the team out to try it again - and they still couldn?t figure it out. 
The owner apologized because he knew this simple part of the job was going south and even he could get his team figure it out.
In summary, this business has a huge backlog and the quality of the staff in very inconsistent.
When the owner is on-site, the work was done appropriately. 
When there was no minute by minute supervision, it was a disaster.

It was a very good experience. The guy who came out was very responsive. Anytime I contacted him, he would immediately reply within 24 hours. His estimate was exactly correct. His estimate of the amount of time it would take to do the work was exactly correct. There was no hassle working with him. He worked quickly and communicated well about what we was doing. The end result also looked good.

The job progressed smoothly and was completed on schedule.  Drop from patio doors to ground level was higher than
normal due to the house design and city's flood line requirement.  Francisco was able to change ground level and grade it so that we maintained just 3 steps to the ground.  A great deal of time was spent compacting the soil and base layer under the pavers.
They used Calstone's new Quarry Versailles series pavers.
After asking they returned to fill in gaps in the grout. between the tiles   However, the grout wasn't holding at the step edge due to the large preset grout width for the Quarry Versailles.   I had to called another stone store to get a method to fix the grout at the step edge.  Until I found this solution, Francisco indicated there wasn't a solution.  He did send workers out several months later to fix
the issue.  
The price was a higher than our other bids.
.All in all the job turned out very nice.  Francisco is very professional and courtesy.

Francisco came out to look over the proposed project.  He was very nice and offered suggestions.  We came up with a plan and he told me to go pick out the stone I wanted to use to build planters.  Said once I picked the stone he would be able to give me a quote.  About 2 weeks later I picked the stone and sent Francisco a email with my choice asking for the quote.  After not hearing from him for about a week I then left a voice mail again telling him what stone I picked and asking for a quote.  Two months later I still have no quote or response so I can only assume that Francisco doesn't want to do the job.  Why not just tell me that when he came out

I met with Francisco, the owner.  He looked over the existing lawns and a couple of days later emailed me an estimate.  It took some time to work out  a date to start work, but once that was done, everything moved fast.  Skyline's crew showed up on  time and began ripping out the old lawns.  After two days they were done.  The new turf lawns look great.

Skyline Landscapes Inc. was, without a doubt, one of finest landscape/construction companies we have ever experienced in the Bay Area.  Francisco, the owner, is extremely knowledgeable and saw the vision we expressed as our dream front yard, porch and driveway.  The work ethics and talent of this company is without equal. They were always on time and extremely efficient at their art.   We have experienced other construction firms in the Bay Area and were shocked by their lack of knowledge and quality of service in providing the most elementary of construction needs.  Our positive experience with Skyline was a breath of fresh air in comparison.  Francisco kept us "in the loop" every step of the way and respected our needs and dreams for this huge job.  His crew were always polite and even had to spend time with passer bys who wanted to know more about Skyline as the job was so incredibly beautiful.  They handed out many company cards to neighbors who requested the information!  We chose pavers from CalStone for our new driveway, walkways and front porch with new steps per Francisco's recommendation.  It all turned out to be more perfect than we could have dreamed possible.  The plants, shrubs, grasses and rocks that Francisco chose were perfect for our planned vision and we are now the envy of the neighborhood.  Prior to the miracle Skyline provided, our yard and drive were dated (1946), cracked, and ugly.  We now have a beautiful front yard and enormous driveway and much larger front entry with gradual steps that we can't stop admiring.  Thank you so much Francisco and thank you to all the people at Skyline Landscapes Inc. This company is definitely first class!

Francisco is very easy to work with. He seems to grasp the idea of what you want very quickly, even though I wasn't so sure myself. I didn't have a lot of ideas for what I wanted other than the specific tree  and a couple specific plants but he took that and incorporated into a plan. He gave me a few additional options to consider depending on my budget but once we decided and took care of everything very smoothly. His team worked quickly and it looked great. I have had them back for various other unrelated repairs as well. always easy.
