My experience with them overall was great. I would definitely encourage others to use them because they were really professional and on time. They did a great job and they were very friendly. Their pricing is pretty average.

Excellent in all respects

I called Safelite on a Wednesday afternoon, and they were able to send someone out to my house the following day. It took him about an hour to replace my rear windshield which had been completely shattered. He also completely vacuumed so there were no glass shards either in the car or on the garage floor. I could have saved $25 by bringing the car into their shop, but it was well worth the extra $25 to not have to drive the car with glass shards dropping everywhere.

Dave checked the van appointment upon our arrival, confirmed the estimate, gave us a warning about potential of an internal crack being accessed can result in the necessity of windshield replacement, and said he'd be done in an hour. Returned in an hour to one customer in front, then fairly quick access to pay and pick up the van. Dave was chatty and warm, and I'd use him again.

Went through the online prompts for windshield replacement on my 1987 Nissan D21 pick-up truck. The website stated they would call me back within a half hour....no callback.

On time, did a great job, would recommend.

I got an online quote and also scheduled my appt online. I got a call from the service location the prior day to confirm the appt. On the day of the appt., a technician inspected the damage to my windshield, confirmed what I already suspected (that I would need a replacement). The wait time was 1.5 hours (I could also have utilized their mobile service if I wanted to).
He came back in about 10 mts saying that my car actually needed a heated windhshield but the quote had been done for a regular windshield. He said they would honor the quote and provide a heated windshield. I was pleasantly surprised at this. The work was done as promised. On visual inspection everything looked OK and I drove back as promised in 1.5 hours.
So far so good, though I am yet to test it out on a car wash. They do have a lifetime warranty. I hope I don't have to use it. Overall a very positive experience and I would highly recommend them for auto glass work in the future.
Also it turns out the dealers will quote you a higher price but they end up sub contracting the work so it makes little or no sense to take the car to the dealer for such things (my car is pretty new which is why I considered this option)
Unfortunately my insurance deductible is $500 which is exactly the cost of this service so I did not benefit from insurance coverage

I contacted Safelite on the recommendation of my insurance company. A rock hit my windshield and created a small star fracture. Safelight staff was polite and informative on the phone. The technician was on time and thoroughly explained the process. Work was preformed in a clean and timely manner.

The first available appointment was 9:00 AM the following morning. I arrived a half hour early, but the paperwork, replacement window, and techs were available to begin. The work was performed impeccably. They even opened the lift gate interior panel to remove some broken glass and completely vacuumed the interior of the vehicle.

They did a good job and I had no issues with their work. I got a discount of Angie's List.

Excellent experience compared to some I have had when getting windshields replaced. The windshield suggested by Safelite was an aftermarket brand that, quite frankly, was awful. It looked cheap and i did not want it for my vehicle. They were very accomodating and ordered me a OEM part. It arrived quickly and they made an appt for the same day once they took delivery. I had the Mobile service and the technician was extremely professional and funny (I told him, my husband is extremely fussy..to which he replied "So why did you marry him then?"). He did a fabulous job and my fussy husband could find no fault and it was fast!! While they estimated a 2 hour window , from start to finish it was about an hour.

Carlos came out to my home to install a replacement windshield on my car. He was very prompt and courteous and gave an accurate estimate of how long the work would take. Car was returned clean and nothing was damaged during the installation process.

Driving on 280 and--crack!--rock hits the windshield. Crap! I watch as a 9-inch crack spreads across my view. No hope of repair, so I need to get the whole darn thing replaced. Yelp to the rescue. I find the highly-rated Hi-Tech Auto Glass, call late in the evening on a Friday and get a 9 am Saturday appointment; mention that I found them on Yelp and get my $10 discount easy-breezy. Lowest quote I found PLUS availability on a (holiday) weekend. I drive in at the appointed time the next day and they have my glass (for my make and model car) prepared and waiting for me! The technicians get right to work and 45 minutes later and $180 poorer, I am driving away with a smile. Hi-Tech did a great job--high quality glass, solid installation, efficient, friendly and professional. Hope I won't see them again for a long time, but if I ever do need a repair/replacement on auto glass, I'm hightailing it for High-Tech.Win

I called Safelite in the early morning (before 8:00). I was, honestly, expecting to be routed to an answering service, but instead the call center picked up, took all of my information, were very up-front with the cost of the service and scheduled someone to come to ME that same afternoon.
The process was painless and smooth, and I had a new window by the end of the day.

I did not go through insurance, because I the cost was below my deductible. I don't have any experience on how they would handle insurance claims.

I wanted to get my windshield replaced because of a chip and because it was pitted causing glare in the early morning and at sunset. I filed a claim with my insurance and chose Safelite based on Angie's List reviews. My $100 charge was the deductible for my insurance. I was able to schedule the work for the next day. Ken came to my work and replaced the windshield in the parking lot. When I originally scheduled the work, I was given a window of 9 am to 3 pm. Ken called me the morning of the work and narrowed the wait window to 11:30-12:30 which was great. He arrived in the specified time and replaced the window in less than an hour. Having only had it replaced yesterday, I don't know if it is sealed properly, but it looks good, and they guarantee their work.

It works great. It was incredibly easy, their price was very good in comparison to others, and it was well done. They came to my home for a small extra fee which was very convenient.
