Excellent experience. Richard took a look at my washing machine and knew exactly what was wrong with it. We obtained the part and Richard installed it. Richard is very knowledgeable and professional. I wouldn't use ayone else now.

Although they are based in San Mateo, they are in the City (SF) every tuesday and thursday. Quick response.

Scheduling process was straightforward, repairman arrived when promised, work was executed swiftly and no mess was left behind. In other words, it all went extremely well

Very good experience. Scheduling was easy and quick, and Rich was able to diagnose the problems with my stove pretty quickly. I had one burner that would not ignite when the knob was turned (but would ignite if other knobs were set to lite); the problem was a fault in the wiring from the knob to the ignition switch (it was the most-used burner). The solution was to replace the wiring harness that connects the knobs. Rich knew exactly what part to get, and was able to pick it up in SF the next day, and return to install it the day after (he didn't have that particular part in his truck, my stove is a bit older). FYI, part cost was about $81 for the whole harness, you can't just replace for one knob on this model. My oven had also been running cool, and not coming up to temperature quickly. RIch was very helpful and explained the way that the stove really worked (most of them do not come up to full temperature by the time the "preheat" signal goes off- it doesn't matter much for a casserole, but for baking the difference can be noticeable). He used one of his oven thermometers to compare to the one I had been using to test, and reset the calibration of the stove via the electronic controls. He checked back the next day to see if the oven seemed to be working more as expected- it does seem to be much closer to the set temperature. It is clear that Rich is an expert in repair- the rare person (nowadays) with enough experience to know how well the manufacturer-recommended repairs *really* work, and able to advise on simple maintenance that can head off much more expensive repairs later. I would recommend him without reservation.

The repairman arrived on time, was courteous and helpful, and made sure that we got value out of his visit.

Appt and service was as represented on Angie's List. Services provided reflected all of the above qualities. I was extremely satisfied with everything and can't recommend C & A Brown Co enough. First Class in every way!!

Gas smell was coming from oven whenever we turned it on.Richard came out and diagnosed the problem right away. We needed a new igniter for the oven. He had parts in his truck, repairs performed quickly. Richard is prompt, polite, knowledgeable, informative, and kept my kitchen clean. This is the third time I have used this company. They have been great every time The way they work: you call and talk to Susan, who schedules the day. Someone calls at around 8AM on the day of the appointment and gives you a time window for when Richard will arrive. Everyone is polite, professional, and clearly knows what they are doing.

It was easy to get through to them on the phone(after getting lost in the phone system of a different vendor), they scheduled me right away, called on the day of service to give me my appointment window and arrived within the window. Richard was friendly, professional and took the time to explain everything to me and make sure all was working well before he left. My dishwasher was leaking and he just happened to have the part I needed on his truck so was able to take care of everything in one service call. He even threw in a few tips on how to avoid additional problems! This company will be my first call if I have any other appliance issues. No need to look further.

They did an excellent job. They were punctual, professional, reasonable in pricing, and efficient. I would use them again and would highly recommend them to others.

I called and talked to the owner, she set an appointment for the next day. Richard came to my residence fully briefed on the problem and was ready with a quote and time to completion. He was accurate with both.

The repairman did a good job of explaining the problem, as well as helping me understand what probably caused the problem in the first place. He struck me as very honest, helpful and knowledgeable.

Phone was answered very cheerfully and an appointment made for 2 days later. I told them the model numbers of the washer and dryer. Rich came on time bringing the part needed and repaired both quickly. The whole experience was very satisfactory and I would wholeheartly recommend them to others.

Rick was very professional, pleasant and really exactly what he was doing. Diagnosed and fixed the probelm very quickly and I could not have been more pleased.

They are efficient and knowledgeable. They do a very good job and are reasonably priced.

Our oven had quit working a few months after buying our house. After spending nearly $1000 with another company, only to have the stove stop working after a single use, I contacted C&A Brown. We found a mutual time to inspect the device within a week - and he explained each each step he was doing (I had told him about my prior experience). We identified the part, sourced it, and had a working stove 2 weeks later! C&A was professional about their scheduling and their work.

Excellent experience. From my Monday morning call to Susan who said that Wednesday was their first opening (it was the week after Thanksgiving after all), but if they finished scheduled calls earlier they would try to get to me sooner. Good news -- by 3pm that same day, she called and said that Rich was in the area and would come over then. Less than an hour later, the oven was operational and we were able to cook dinner. Rich explained throroughly what was wrong, what needed to be repaired and why. Will do business with them again.

Dryer went out. Called company and arranged to have a service man call. He came on schedule and diagnosed the problem as a faulty timer switch. He told us what the new timer would cost installed and what a new dryer would cost.

Very responsive over the phone, set up apt for next day! It was really great that they could come the next day. I was not home when they came, my nanny was here. He fixed and recalibrate the oven, immediately it was working great.

It could not have been smoother. I left a voice mail over the weekend, and Sue called me back right after 8:00 on Monday morning. Rich was able to come by immediately, and my dryer was repaired before 9:15. Rich checked a couple of other things to make sure the dryer was running well. Great service!!!

He was very knowledgeable and very clean. He was very prompt and the whole experience was very good. He was professional and he knew what he was talking about. He was very responsive to answer my questions. I would recommend him very highly.

My Bosch clothes washer started leaking due to the seal on the (front loading) door tearing, on a Sunday night. I left a message for C&A Brown that night. 45 minues before their scheduled hours the next morning, I received a call telling me they don't work on Bosch, but suggesting 2 ways to find someone who does. They were fast, kind and helpful, and this when they knew before they called that I couldn't use them. What a great way to make sure I remember them next time.

I have an ongoing experience with them. They came and did the diagnosis to repair the stove top cooker. I haven't been quoted to spend. I am guessing that it's going to be $250. They are very straight forward. It's easy to contact the officer and set up an appointment. The lady who runs all that side of it asks good questions, how I spend time, technically why I've got that part of the thing back here and those kinds of questions. They are not just completely blind and ask some real basic troubleshooting questions. For appointments, they've come properly and accurately kept me well informed. I trust the letter, the guy that does the repairs. I trust him a lot. He is very honest and straight forward. I like his style. I've once had dinner with him. He is very impressive. I trust that he would give me an honest answer and tell me what best way to move forward is. Sometimes it involves spending a lot of money so I just trust him a lot and hold him back. I am looking forward to working with him. He is honest, knowledgeable, straight forward, and reliable and I have used him a lot of times. There are some who do not show up, do not communicate and when they do show up, they may or may not know what they are doing and that's not going to help. He is good, well prepared and doesn't waste time.
