It went very well.They provided an itinerary for the job site,to show which days each job would be done,(painting,carpets,etc).They hired a secondary contractor to install carpet and pad,and the wood flooring.they were also very profesional.This work was done because of water leak ,and handled through my homeowners insurance carrier(A.A.A.)

Excellent service and staff. Within 3 hours after calling in the claim they had a crew at our house starting the clean up. They were extremely helpful and knew what they were doing and the process in how the claim is handled. They informed us that they would be by the next day to check in and they were right on time. This job took 4 weeks and during this time we were planning a party with many things going on. They worked around our schedule the whole time. I will admit we were picky with things but Mike our project manager was extremely good with getting everything we asked done. Our house looks great and I would highly recommend them to anyone. You will not be dissapointed and I will be referring my customers to them as well. Thanks Padgett team, Pat

These grades apply to the remodeling and restoration of our home only, not the emergency services offered by this company. Our home flooded in February of 2012. We had a plumbing issue that caused 3" of water over almost the entire floorplan. When we called Padgetts they were incredibly responsive, having someone out immediately to survey the job and they had a crew in to start ripping out carpet and padding, bringing in drying fans that same day. They packed up much of our belongings quickly and carefully and dried out the house and up through this part they were great! Our home is older and tested positive for both lead and asbestos so we had to vacate while they contracted with another company to do that abatement. The length of time that took was longer than estimated so we spent a week in a hotel, but the rest of the time we had to stay in our home since our insurance only covered absolute necessity. As far as the restoration goes, they promised a sit down meeting to discuss the repairs to the property after the cleanup and abatement was done to determine the course of action they would take but that meeting never took place since the person in charge of our job was always too busy. Most of the conversations happened over the phone. The restoration of our home was a less than plesant experience. For this they hired contractors and the contractors they use are less than desirable. From what we could tell the person in charge of the job seldom came buy to check on the status of the work or the quality of workmanship of the contractors they hired. Every day we got home from work there would be a mess to clean up. Either the tile installers smeared grout all over the newly surfaced and/or painted walls, the painters left globs of paint all over, or the floors always had to be vacuumed when we got home, carpeted, tiled or bare, or there were piles of trash left on our front porch or worse, in the house. The painters did an absolute terrible job. Only one coat of paint went on the walls and if that didn't cover the bare wall underneath, as it didn't in the bathrooms, too bad, the old color showed through. We repeatedly asked for someone to come out and do touchups and it was always promised, but nobody ever had time to do it. The plaster work on the walls had to be redone. Since they only had to rip out the bottom 2 feet of the walls they only resurfaced the bottom 3 feet of the walls. As you can imagine, the brand new plaster texture on the bottom half of the walls didn't match the 40 year old plaster texture on the top half of the walls and that was totally apparent on the walls in the hallway which runs the entire length of our home. They did however send someone out to redo the plaster, but in the hallway only. The rooms are still mismatched in texture but it's less obvious there. Because of the poor workmanship throughout the entire restoration job we chose not to have them install our new bathroom cabinets, fixtures and toilet. Fortunately my husband is rather handy as he remodeled bathrooms and kitchens for a former employer, and he did a great job of putting both bathrooms back together but we didn't get much of a credit on the final bill for him doing their work. We also finally gave up on getting them to touch up and repaint the woodwork in the house and took a $200 credit to do that ourselves as well. And we didn't have them unpack and restock our home after everything was finished, we just had them bring our boxes back and we unpacked and put everything back ourselves. Even though that was part of what they were paid for by the insurance company, we didn't get a credit for that either. Granted our insurance company was not the easiest to work with and probably caused Padgetts more than one headache themselves, but I really don't think that we got our money's worth on the restoration. Would I recommend them for the cleanup of a household disaster? Absolutely! But if I had it to do all over again I would definately hire a different contractor to rebuild.
