Scott's Garage Door Services

When I first saw Scott's "garage door tune-up special" advertised on Angie's List, I must admit I was half thinking that somehow there had to be a catch. My garage door had been opening and closing with what I thought to be excessive vibration and I wondered, would he actually do any work to fix my door for that price?
Scott showed up right on time and was very professional. He looked at the operation of my door, pointing out that the problem seemed to be the result of the opener and the springs working against each other. He advised some adjustments to resolve the tension and I gave him the go-ahead to perform them.
He adjusted the springs, pivot points, force settings, and the travel limit, taking his time at each step to make sure that they were producing the desired results. When he was finished, the door was operating with noticeable improvement.  When he told me how much I owed him, I pleased to discover that all the work he had done had been included in the $39 special price.
I would wholeheartedly recommend Scott and his company to anyone needing garage door services. He appears to be very knowledgeable and competent as well as being a man of integrity. I definitely plan on calling him in the future whenever my door needs service and would give him first consideration on a replacement door when that time comes.

Scott went above and beyond - even had a battery for my old remote control.  Programmed my auto opener in my car, replaced a light bulb - lots of extra little things besides doing the service of my door.  Took my weather stripping to try to locate a replacement and called the next day with an update.

Everything went well, the service provider was nice appearing, personable, very knowledgeable, and efficient. My garage door works perfectly and is much quieter than it used to be.

Scott politely explained all options carefully and answered all questions and covered all my concerns while carefully making sure all aspects of my garage door were addressed. i'm very satisfied, especially after he re-aligned my door opener motor. this didn't take long but i considered it an extra.

Even though it meant giving up our business, Scott advised us against the garage door plan because it would not fit the overall design of our home. He helped us understand that a gate was a better option. That is professionalism at its best!

process of getting service took minimal time: appointment by phone and an on-time technician. service time was surprisingly short (which might call into question how expensive the servicing might be without the deal) and was handled cheerfully.

His name is Scott Fujimoto. He was terrific. Not only did he do what we asked him to do but he was creative and did better than we asked without additional cost. He was prompt and he had very good personal skills. I wish everybody would be like him. He was a terrific provider. We received more than we asked for. He went the extra mile. I don't remember how much we spent, but it wasn't a terrific amount. The garage door is a local brand. When it was built locally, the rubber gaskets around the edge that made contact with the sides of the door and with the floor couldn't be replaced. When in time they became torn, there was no way to fix them. There were no channels. We went online trying to figure out how to fix it. There were a lot of garage doors with channels that were sort of industry models for those gaskets, but this door didn't match any of those. There was no way to slide the gaskets out and replace them with new ones. He found solutions for it so that we could make it weatherproof. In the driving rains that we get in December and January, we were getting water in the garage and he made that stop so we were delighted. He was just a pro at what he did. His price was very fair.

Huh. When I called Scott in May of 2010 about problems with our door, he told me he was moving out of Los Angeles and couldn't help us. He gave us the number of another company. Interesting that he did a job in October of that year.

He was very good. He said my hinges were nit heavy duty enough for the weight of my door. He did a great job. He was prompt, courteous and efficient. I would recommend them highly. He is very good at explaining what needed to be done and why and going ahead and getting the job done.
