Install lasted a bit longer than I expected. The wrong part was installed at first and had to be swapped out later. Used HERO program and Sierra asked me to tell HERO that job was complete, when it wasn't. SMUD is now coming out to verify their work.

We apologize for the equipment error, when the equipment was delivered to your home from our supplier they did ship the wrong indoor coil, which got installed. We asked you to sign the financing paperwork when the job was complete, and the error on the coil was caught after the install at our office after all the paperwork was turned in, and we notified you that we would need to come back and remove the indoor coil and replace it with the correct one. We have installed the correct coil, and SMUD should have no problem with the installation and your rebate should be processed problem free. Again I apologize we had to take up some of your time a second day to replace the coil, and if you wish to give us a call about a year after your install, we will do a free annual maintenance for you. From beginning to the end, these guys were fabulous. Jim the estimator was consistently professional, courteous and presented absolutely no pressure during out conversations. Unlike two other contractors that I interviewed, where the salesmen appeared to be forcing me into investing the most expensive option, Jim opened a binder and we worked together to reach the best solution for my needs. After that, there was no pressure to "get the job done right away because we have an opening tomorrow"; in fact, they did not call me back at all - they waited for me to choose who I wanted. On the day of the install, the crew was prompt to the minute and performed the install within 5 hours. One of the things I liked about Sierra Valley Home Corp, was the fact that they also utilize a roofing contractor when the job is done, to verify that the unit is secure and sealed when all is said and finished. The other two contractors, did not indicate that they offered this service. All in all, I am 100% satisfied. Lastly, the estimate up front, was the price I paid at the end; and frankly, it is shocking to think that the other two contractors both wrote me estimates that were at least $5000 more, for doing the exact same job. Thank you, Sierra Valley Home Corp. And of course, thanks to all of your friendly office workers too.

I had Sierra Valley replace a furnace and condensing unit in an existing system. The work included some minor duct modifications and a new disconnect. I was very happy with their service. From the initial meeting to get a quote for the work, through the completion of the project, they were very prompt and professional. Based on their recommendations to downsize the furnace and condensing units a bit, the new system is much more comfortable than the old system. The work was well done and very professional. I would recommend them to anyone.

To put it simply, this was the best contractor experience I have ever had. If I had to describe it in a few short words, they would be persistance, honesty, integrity, and professionalism. But Mike, Matt, and the crew did too good of a job to limit my review to a few words. Persistance - After I told Mike I had settled on three contractors, he e-mailed me an estimate that i couldn't ignore. Honesty & Integrity - Mike had opportunities to sell me things like a new zone control or wiring, but he didn't. Professionalism - Installation completed in one day and works perfectly. Modifications included larger return and bypass duct at no extra cost.

The owner was very professional and not pushy during the estimate. Installers were respectful of our home and also very professional. They were timely and finished quickly without rushing. The process went smooth from start to finish. I did have other cheaper estimates, but chose Sierra Valley because I didn't feel like my project was just another job to them. I would definitely use them again.

The Heat Pump work was great and my electric bill is now in a reasonable range. The only negative I have is the crew that blew in the attic insulation. They did not close off the short entrance hall from the rest of the house, this resulted in dust all through the house. Two pieces of plastic draped over the two door openings would have prevented this and hours of clean up on our part.
