I have not had any luck with getting someone out to put in a screen - either too expensive, non-responsive, or booked way too far out. However, Gus called me back promptly and went above and beyond, without me even asking. He offered to pickup the product at the local Home Depot and was willing to look into the specs for me, since he is definitely more knowledge than I in this area - just to list a few. If you are in need of someone honest, punctual, knowledgeable, and reasonably priced "Handyman Matters of Mission Viejo" should be your first call, make sure to speak with Gus. A+ experience. NOTE: I am not too big on writing reviews and only do so when I feel someone or some company has far exceeded any expectations I could have had going into it, which is the case here.

It took 2 hours to assemble a table and 4 chairs, The handyman that showed up didn't look that professional all my chairs are wobbly I had to add felt to the bottom to balance . He explained there was a 2 hour minimum I also had requested a shelf be put up but didn't want to go into another couple of hours .The store that I purchased the furniture would have assembled for $75 but since I had other things I wanted done I went with this service . I don't mind paying for quality service but I don't feel I received it based on the wobbly chairs .

"This job was scheduled by the realtor, she wasn't on site when the job was being done. the tenant was a German woman that didn't speak english. We were tasked to replace all the bulbs throughout the house that were burned out, we did. We charged our 2 hour minimum fee as discussed previously plus the cost of the bulbs as also discussed. After reading this review I contacted the realtor and told her that if there was any problem or if additional work was needed or wanted to please let me know and we would be more than happy to do it. Perhaps a list with additional items needed could be emailed or left on premises"

I have sent you emails and left phone messages and the only email I received back was a cryptic "It is done". He did a great job with the projects I had: install 2 fire extinguishers; hang 2 pictures on a ledge next to a 10-ft high wall; install 2 shelves in garage; install new front porch light; and spread 3 bags of landscape rock. My only comment is that he didn't clean up after some of the projects: sheet rock dust from hanging shelves, etc. BUT, I would use this company again!

I have an almond color sink that he was reinstalling b/c it and the section of cabinet had fallen away from granite counter. When reinstalling he used white caulking, rather than almond color to match my sink. He installed wooden supports inside my cabinet to hold the sink up and now screw holes are noticeable on the exterior of my cabinet. As a result of his repair my dishwasher door squeeks and rubs agains the cabinet that or wood supports.

Luis was the handyman that came to install two water heater straps and a smoke alarm on a high celling. He was on time and pleasant on that hour. He waived a $35.00 service fee that I had not been informed on my initial call to HomeAdvisor!

The work done was satisfactory, but I was surprised when the handyman told me there was a $35 service fee. When I scheduled the work over the phone, there was no mention of this...only the $85/hourly. Luckily, my handyman was kind enough to waive the fee.

Tony arrived on time (which I had changed) and did multiple odd jobs much to my satisfaction. I will definitely hire him again. He has all the right tools to do any number of projects. AND, he had to work around my two Bulldogs who were constantly 'in his face'! Nice guy!
