After multiple attempts in an effort to contact Mike Wirtes @ Mr. Handyman, I finally spoke with him to discuss this situation as he had told my wife that a mistake was made when providing the written quote and he could not and would not honor estimate.  My discussion with Mike was disappointing as I respectfully offered my understanding of what transpired and asked that he and Mr. Handyman honor the written estimate we were given as we had already spent our time, effort and money in procuring the materials in an effort to help expedite the work.  Mike told me again that he would not honor the estimate and we were bascially out the time and money we spent to properly prepare for the remodel.  I asked for him to reconsider to no avail.  I reminded him mistakes are costly and this is a cost of doing business.  Again too bad.  Mike is obviously a "Bait and Switch" artist!  Mike then did call back stating he had a change of heart and would now honor the estimate.  Great news!  Or was it?  We called Mike 10 times to schedule the work he had promised to perform with no return calls from he or Mr. Handyman for over a week.  We did receive a call from an administrative assistant stating Mike was now on vacation and would return our call with in the next 3 days.  No return call from Mike.  We again called Mike @ Mr. Handyman multiple times with no answer or return call.  Last resort was an email demanding a response within 24 hours so we could either have Mr. Handyman conduct the work as promised or begin the quote process again and move on.  Mike did return an excuse riddled email claiming he would again honor the estimate but can not perform the work as his installers had quit.  Which side of his mouth was he using????  It is too bad and really no surprise that people would leave such a poorly run and mis-managed company.  Bait and switch, double-talking, and running a business with no ethics, integrity or moral compass is clearly the montra of Mike Wirtes and Mr. Handyman.  BEWARE!!!!

I contacted them with a list of projects I needed completed, and despite the fact that they advertise no job is too small, apparently mine was because they said they didn't have time to do it.

They did a  great job.  My son had opened his door in bedroom to far and put a hole in the drywall besides fixing it they added the plastic guard behind the door knob so it wont happen again.  The sink works again perfectly.  The built in desk drawers now work.

This was a more complicated project than I anticipated but the guys from Mr. Handyman do this a lot, apparently, and it shows. First, they removed the fluorescent lights and fixtures (molding, plastic, etc.) and got it ready for the electricians. After the LED lights were installed, Mr. Handyman repaired the ceiling, and did the necessary drywall and texturing. They then came in and did the final painting and finishing.

I left a message in the late afternoon on 6/11 and received a call back early in the morning on 6/12, so I was glad they were quick to respond. I have 2 clay ridge tiles that need to be replaced on my 2nd story gable ridge. Paula let me know that they don't do roofing. This must have changed within the past year since there was a 2/27/14 review for roof work done on 5/21/13. I wasn't sure if there were any handman services that could do roofing, and my research thus far indicates none do. Paula was nice and courteous, and I'll call them again about my non-roof handyman jobs.

I had a very strange experience with this company. I called and spoke to a very professional guy who, I believe, owned the company. When I met with the contractor onsite at my rental home he was pretty odd. I told him I wanted to quote out several things because we were updating a rental home to prepare it to list it on the market. We did a walkthrough and gave him several items to look at from the roof to the fence, painting, etc. Anyways, he was there for a good half hour but eventually kept telling me he wouldn't bid on certain things because I made it clear that I was getting multiple bids and he believed the other companies would give me a better bid. That was it. He left and I never heard from him again. I don't know if he thought I looked like it was all for show or something but I actually ended up doing way more work than I had anticipated so I guess they missed out on some work. Very weird experience but I find sometimes contractors are unwilling to work with a young woman. But the guy on the phone was great!

They were amazing; they were professional, honest, did good work and in a timely manner.

The gentleman who came out, I wasn't pleased with at all. He didn't do it very professionally. I've left it there. I don't have any money to redo it. He charged $400 which I wasn't expecting. The value of the work compared to the price is poor. I didn't like his craftsmanship. I'll tell others not to use him. The price is not fair at all. They were very courteous people, but I will not use them again.

The front door took several days, as had to be sanded down. Gentleman was professional and explained all steps necessary in getting the exact color I needed on my door. Definitely would have him back again, in fact this is the second time we have used him.

They did good work. They were a little pricey for what they did do. They were good and fast. They cleaned up after themselves.

They arrived promptly at 8:00 am like promised and went right to work after I told them what needed to be done.  I had two electrical outlets that did not work.  Keith, the gentleman that worked on the plugs could have told me any reason why they didn't work and I would have believed him.  In five minutes he had them working, it was a breaker switch.  They then walked around and listed what supplies they needed.  I had asked for florescent lights to be changed and new plastic panels in my kitchen.  My kitchen is odd shaped and the panels would have had to been cut. Keith explained the other alternative, to take down the panels and the lights and install new fixtures and paint the ceiling.  He will be returning next week to do that.  They then went to Home Depot to buy the supplies needed and were back in a timely manner.  The drawers in my kitchen were fixed, they had not been opened in about three years.  They finished all of this work in the four hours they said it would take.

Excellent! This is the third time I've used Mr. Handyman and literally, no job is too small. They took care of everything quickly and professionally, and even took some extra time to help with an electrical problem after the job was done.

He was right on time and was actually early. He was courteous and professional.

Excellent.  I do intend to use this service again.
