It went fine.

The work went exceptionally well. Rob is a master craftsman, a professional, and a very nice person as well. Rob does all the work personally. All materials were prepped for painting (painting to be completed by the company hired to paint entire house). The damaged section of rain gutter was replaced first, followed by the replacement of each of the downspouts. The work site was neat and safe for the duration of the job, and all debris was removed during cleanup. Payment was made upon completion of the work.
The recent rain storms proved the wisdom and quality of Rob's design and work. No leaks, no clogging, no drips or overflows, and no more tap-tap-tap noise for days after the rain stops! This was not an easy job as this is essentially a three story home on a sloped lot. Some of the downspouts are 25 feet long.
Rob Marks of The Tinman has our highest possible recommendation. If you think this sort of work is important, and you want the work done as well as possible, I advise you speak with Rob. Hopefully the pictures will post successfully and you will be able to judge for yourself. The downspouts have since been painted along with the rest of the house, and the painters reported that the metal took the new paint without issue.

My gutters were in bad shape. I hired Rob to fix three of the gutters. Rob went above and beyond by ensuring that all of my gutters were in proper working order. He was very informative and provided suggestions for other types of repairs that I might want to consider. He also made referrals for other repair work I needed done, who did excellent work as well.

Even though this is a very busy time of year, I was lucky that he was able, for whatever reason, to come out to look at the house that morning and did the work that afternoon. He was very knowledgeable on the phone - both before he came out, and then after he'd looked at the house. It was a bit of a leap of faith doing everything over the phone (I was at work), but when I got home everything looked great and it was obvious he knew what he was doing.

They were straight forward. They were very through.

He removed existing gutters and re-fastened them at a better angle. He also reinforced a corner so that it would not tear away from the house. He also replaced a downspout with a larger downspout to accomodate heavy rain and debris. Additionally, he refastened a gutter in the backyard because it had sagged and was not draining properly.

Prices were fair and he does quality work.

The whole experience was excellent. Rob was very prompt in returning my calls, and he quickly set up an appointment for the estimate. Even though my job was relatively minor (i.e., I wasn't replacing my entire gutter system), he took the time to walk me through each step of the repair/replacement process, showed me examples of the materials he'd be using, explained the difference between him and the aluminum gutter guys. He recommended not replacing the existing aluminum gutters because they were in acceptable shape, but he did recommend re-leveling the gutters and adding new, wider downspouts to allow water to drain from the roof more quickly. We also decided to add a new downspout to direct water away from the front of my house. When it was time to fix the gutters, he was able to work around some roof repairs I was having done at the same time. Rob is a true professional and obviously takes the time to make sure every job is done right and with a high level of quality. He doesn't cut any corners, and his prices are very fair. When the job was done, the gutters and downspouts were better than new and greatly improved the drainage around my house. The materials he uses are very high quality and will last for many years to come.

Great. Materials were of higher quality and appearance than normally seen, and better than I expected. Contractor also identified a problem (of which I was already aware) and suggested a reasonably-priced solution. Great results. Very satisfied with contractor's service and obvious experience. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for -- and I'll use him again if the need arises.

Everything went smoothly and exactly as we had been quoted. The Tinman was there from start to finish. Because we decided to replace the fascia boards with gutters, he had to use a larger (deeper) gutter. No complaints, no change in price, no delay! The gutters look great and they were ready for painting when the painter arrived, not requiring any more prep work on them.

I have had Rob's number for a while but didn't give him a call until about a month ago, when we decided we were going to put our house on the market. He was very professional - gave us an estimate quickly and gave us some advice on how to best move forward because replacement involved some roofing issues. Rob's work was fast and the quality of his work was excellent. Plus he is very personable and I felt he was trustworthy. I'm very particular and expect superior customer service. Finally there is someone out there who would do a good job and provide a superior product at a reasonable price! Rob was always on time. He discussed the job thoroughly before making any changes and allowed us to be completely aware of all aspects of the job. He was very professional. I felt that here was someone I could trust to do a good job. In fact, he fixed several existing problems from the work of other contractors. Rob is very conscientious, hardworking and detail oriented. I work in real estate and see a lot of shoddy work, so it was especially refreshing to see work that was quality from start to finish. He's great and the gutters are very attractive.

We were very happy with the friendly and professional service we received from Rob Marks aka "The Tinman". He described the choices of materials we might use, and made his recommendation which we agreed with, for attractive and well functioning gutters. We appreciated his candor about the different types of gutters, and why one might be preferred over another in terms of materials, functionality and cost. He also made helpful recommendations on adding another rain spout and its placement. He coordinated his work with the roofers smoothly. All in all we are very pleased with the results, especially during the last few rain storms where the gutters did their job perfectly.

Robert provided a consultation of what needed to be done and based on his expert opinions and knowledge, we decided to replace several downspouts and add additional ones. His expert opinion saved us a lot of money which would have been spent unnecessarily to replace gutters and not fix the real problem which was getting rain water off the roof. The main problem was the size and routing of the existing downspouts which because they were small and poorly constructed, restricted the flow of water from the gutters and caused the gutters to overflow. The new gutters are truly seamless; Robert solders the joints versus riveting. The job was completed faster than I expected and the difference water handling is fantastic. The cherry on top was that he also recommended someone to paint the gutters and that job will be done in the next week or two. My neighbor is getting or got his gutters fixed. Well recommended and easy to talk to...a real professional and does not try to get you to do work that is not needed.

The process was uneventful. I left him to do the repair and he was done within an hour or so.

Owner showed up on time every day with his young adult son. They were working around the roofers and it went smoothly. He was good at explaining issues and ways to solve the downspout problem. If we had a problem or an issue, he dealt with it right away and in a professional manner. Excellent job. Still happy with his work a year later! Would refer him and would use him again.

It went very well. He could not remove the downspout to replace it because it had been installed so close to the wall, it would have damaged the wall to move it. He was able to clean it and flush it with a hose so that it worked again.

Everything went great. The gutters look awesome and he did a great job on the removable downspout. I would highly recommend him and would definitely hire him again if needed.

They were easy to work with. I liked their workmanship and the quality of materials that they used.

Rob (TINMAN) was here within 2 hours of my contacting him to give and estimate for the job. He explained how his gutters were made and the best placement of the downspouts. He offered two different styles of gutters what we could use on this project. Rob installed the gutters the next morning. They look great; and I am very pleased with the look and quality of the gutters. I would definately recommend him to anyone looking to replace or install new gutters!

Our house has been added on to a couple of times, and the previous owners didn't install the gutters correctly. He corrected the levels so the water runs properly. We are very happy. It only took him a couple of days to complete our house and detached garage.

Getting back to us took a little bit of time. The roofer we were working with got him to call us back the same day. The work was very good.
