Set up an appointment to get an estimate on window replacement. The Representative called me the night before the appointment to confirm our meeting, then failed to show up the next day. How can you trust their prices or workmanship if they don not show up for the estimate ??

He cleaned the wheels and that helped but later I cleaned the track and removed compacted dirt. That made a much larger difference.

Very insulting experience trying to set up an appointment for an estimate. He asked If I was married.They would not schedule unless my husband was there too. I asked why and was told it was there policy. I asked what was the basis of the policy that would ask me those questions and he said he had no idea he was just a scheduler. It was just an estimate, nothing more, nothing less. Seems like they have quite a scam or high pressure sales tactic on the agenda. Needless to say they lost my business.

We really researched and had about five bids. I kept returning to Northwest Exteriors as Scott McKinistry in Sales had the most educational demonstration of windows samples and he took his time to explain both the windows and the installation process. We visited the show room in Rancho Cordova and got a different idea about slider doors vs. French doors. It was worth the visit, as more competitive bidders' products were not as high quality. The installation went great -- it took a little more than two days due to the French door installation. The whole project went very well and we are thrilled with the windows. I highly recommend Northwest Exteriors.

I hired Northwest Exteriors to replace 12 windows and 2 sliding patio doors. Total cost was a bit more expensive than some of the other quotes I received, but the Anlin products that were installed are exceptional quality. I was very pleased with the experience from start to finish. My windows look great and the warranty from Northwest Exteriors is a plus. I will definitely contact the company for other work in the future.

It went very smooth. The workers were all very professional, courteous and helpful. They did excellent quality work and in fact the painting contractor who followed asked me who had installed the siding because he said they did excellent work and he would like to recommend them. I have hired many contractors over the years and Northwest Exteriors was absolutely the best in terms of quality, responsiveness and price.

I called Northwest Exteriors to set up an appointment to get an estimate to convert a window to a French door. I gave them all of my information and they asked if my husband would be present for the appointment. This is not the first time I have been asked this by various trades people. When I explained that my husband works long hours and that he would not be available for the appointment, the person on the phone said he would see if they would make an exception and get back to me. I have done many renovations totaling over $500K per house so this small window to door conversion was a small task in my eyes. To date, I have not gotten a call back from the company. It's unfortunate that this organization requires my husband's approval in order to work with us. I wonder if my husband had called in asking for an estimate if they would have required my presence at the meeting?

The two installers arrived at 9:00 on Monday. They were efficient and did a very good job. They cleaned up after themselves and stayed busy the entire time they were at our house. One of the workers was a real perfectionist, and he policed the work of the other person pretty closely to make sure everything looked perfect. They hauled away all the old windows. The windows are beautiful, and the sound blocking is really great. It did, however, make us aware of how leaky our doors are because any air or sound comes in only through them now. Next up, new doors! I highly recommend these installers and the windows. We are very pleased with them both.

They did a great job. The men that came in and put up the windows were so polite and I really like their work. They did a terrific job.

I am very happy with the windows Northwest Exteriors installed. The process was fairly painless from the initial sales appointment (with moderate sales pressure - nothing out of the ordinary for this type of project) to the install. They completed the installation in one day and worked very efficiently. The crew was friendly and polite, and they were very careful to put down tarps and take off shoes when working in the house. They cleaned up pretty well at the end of the day; the inside of the house was very clean and there were only a few scraps and minimal stepped-on landscaping outside. I have been extremely happy with the windows over the last year with noticeable improvements in temperature inside the house, and the windows open and close easily. The bay windows are beautiful.

We normally are leery of door solicitors, especially for services that need or benefit from licensed contractor work. We just happened to be in the market for three new windows, and NW Exteriors was canvassing the neighborhood. The appointment was set up for several days later, and Leonard, their senior field guy showed up on time. This wasn't our first rodeo with windows, so he gave us an abbreviated education on the technology behind their line of Anlin windows. Happily for us, that was one of only two brands we would consider. He made some quick measurements, and gave us a quote that evening. Although they prefer to have a customer commit right away, NW was low-key about my wanting to review the order agreement, and left the quote with me. I also used the time to get competitive bids. After looking at other vendors, we were satisfied with NW's price. Once we placed the order, the installer (Geoff) came out and made final measurements, and said the normal turn was a few weeks. I was surprised when he called back a mere two weeks later, the windows were ready to install. There was a another cancellation the day before Thanksgiving, but we couldn't do it on such short notice. But, the fact that the windows were ready to go that fast is impressive. Geoff came back 10 days later, the windows went in and he was gone in 4 1/2 hours. The install was perfect, no mess, no fuss, wrote him a check, and that was it! Time from order to install: about 25 days. Will use them when we remodel the kitchen.

I interviewed sales people from three different window companies who represented three different window manufacturers. The Northwest sales person was the only one that brought a "sample kit" to demonstrate the window construction and features. After the interviews I visited the three local showrooms to see some actual window installations and to have the sales people show me more details. Each of the window companies had their own shop adjacent to their showrooms, as well their own trucks and crews. The estimates were fairly close to one another, but I decided on the Northwest as the installer and chose the Anlin windows they were promoting because I liked the window features (construction and materials). I also preferred their screens, which had metal "pulls" instead of the typical flimsy rubber "tabs" that most screens have (that is, when they are new!). It's a small detail, but removing screens and re-seating them is one of the things you have to do when you clean windows. After signing the contract, a different Northwest representative came to my place and took precise measurements and subsequently placed the order with the Anlin manufacturer (www.anlin.com). After the windows arrived at Northwest, they scheduled the installation. The installation crew arrived on time and the first thing they did was to walk through my townhouse and double-check to make sure they had the correct windows and equipment before they started work. One of the windows had to be re-ordered because the manufacturer had made a mistake, but Northwest was able to get it expedited and the replacement window arrived within a week. I left the townhouse for part of the time that the crew was working because I didn't want to be around all the noise and activity. But from what I did observe, the crew was very precise and careful about removing the old windows and installing the new ones. They kept me apprised of their progress during the day and discussed with me how they could deal with some construction issues that were not visible until they removed old paneling. And each day they cleaned up the interior and exterior before they left. The removal and installation job took three days total, and then they came back a forth day for a few hours to complete some detail work (additional caulking, removing labels, cleaning windows, etc.). Northwest installed new window trim on the exterior (it was required by the Homeowners Association), but I had to arrange for the trim to be painted. Overall, I am very satisfied with the appearance of the finished job (interior and exterior), and it's great to have windows and doors that open and close smoothly again instead of the 40-yr old windows that were sticking all the time. And when I close the windows, it is so quiet that I either don't hear or am not bothered by a lot of the typical city noises anymore (such as fire engines, planes, and leaf blowers).

Northwest was great to work with. We had a wonderful experience with them the first time and the windows we just purchased were perfect. They were responsive to our calls and even called our contractor directly to get measurements from him.

They have good follow up which is the best one. They have a good communication and Larry was the one who did the estimate.

Had them out twice (once for each piece). They were on time, when they promised, and they did an outstanding job, even cleaning up the site afterwards.

N.W. Exteriors was very responsive to our request for a bid. They provided all information necessary in a timely manner. Unfortunately, the company had minimal experience with the Certainteed Cedar Impressions siding that we wanted. Though they provided the low bid (out of 3) that we received, we decided to go with a company that had more recent experience and excellent reviews of their work on Angie's List.

I ordered the products above on 10-19-12 and the work wasn't completed until 4-25-13. In between those two dates, there was no communication from them as to why the products didn't arrive within the 4 week time period Mike, the salesperson, stated. I had to call them after I didn't hear anything. When they installed the products on the first attempt, the door had too many defects with it and the storm door was the wrong brand and model. After weeks of going back and forth with them and me calling Therma-Tru doors myself to verify what Orepac (this is the company Northwest used to assemble the Therma-Tru door I ordered) was telling me ( "the defects are normal for the style of door I ordered") , the door had to be redone. I thought it was strange that Northwest gave me Orepac's contact person and phone number to discuss the issues I was having with the door. I felt since Northwest sold me the service, it should've been them to call Orepac to advocate on my behalf . I haven't heard of customer's calling a company's vendors to discuss problems they are having with a product. Most of the communication was initiated by me to check the status on my order, Justin is who I mainly communicated with. On the second attempt to install the products I ordered...the Therma-Tru door wasn't perfect but at least wasn't as bad as the first door and the storm door was the right brand BUT the wrong model. My husband and I basically accepted what was delivered and installed because we just wanted the order to be closed and be done with. When I wrote the check, I gave myself a discount and said please call me if you feel this discount isn't justified. I didn't hear back from them. I was disappointed in the lack of communication in regards to the status of my order, me having to call Orepac and the time frame of which the order was completed. Unfortunately, I can not recommend this company to anyone.
