Hello: After speaking to the homeowner, we realized we made an error and did not finish the original scope of work per the contract. We sent our roofing crew back out and finished the roof work. Hello [Member Name Removed]:Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry to hear your experience with Cal-Vintage was not a positive one. Unfortunately, your project had to be rescheduled several times due to the rain which is beyond our control. We had a completion date (6/19/17) scheduled for your job, but we were unable to keep that due to the large amount of dry rot that was found. Valerie indicated that our roofers are not required to work Saturdays and if they do, it is only half a day. And they were not scheduled to work Saturday on your project. Martin gave you a quote of approximately 20-22 hours of dry rot work(only able to assess after the roof was torn off). He later informed you that it took 2-4 hours more than we approximated. For the last 14 years, we have installed hundreds of roofs in the greater Sacramento area and have received an outstanding reputation in the roofing industry. Our family business was built on traditional values, honesty, and integrity. The extreme weather we have had since November has effected every roofing company in Sacramento, including Cal-Vintage. We were not prepared for the overwhelming amount of customers who needed our services due to roof issues. Cal-Vintage tried their best to accommodate everyone as best as they could. We have made many adjustments and are better prepared for future unstable and unforeseen weather. Dear [member name removed]: I want to thank you again for choosing Cal-Vintage for your roofing project. We know you had many choices when it came time to choosing a roofing contractor and we do appreciate you selecting us. Cal-Vintage is committed to providing the highest level of service and quality. The service you received did not reflect our standards and we are sorry we caused this frustration. I spoke to Brent, our Director of Operations and shared your dissatisfaction. He indicated there were a few issues that caused the delay for your project. The manufacturer Gerard relocated their plant, which caused an 8-10 week delay in delivering the material. They are more than happy to provide a letter stating this incident. Your roof has a very steep pitch which also makes it challenging. We need about 3-4 weeks of dry weather with no threat of rain to complete your reroof. Sacramento experienced the worse rainstorms in 5 years and it caused massive chaos for every roofing company. We were overwhelmed and it was difficult to accommodate customers. We have since changed that and already have seen improvements. I am very sorry if Brent did not explain these circumstances to you. We are always looking for ways to improve our service and your feedback is an invaluable part of that process. At Cal-Vintage it's all about our customers. Hello: Please accept my sincere apology on behalf of our company. I am very sorry to learn that your experience with our staff was less than adequate. Cal-Vintage's has built our reputation on providing the highest level of customer service and we did not live up to that standard. The extreme weather that impacted most roofing companies, also played a role in contacting customers in a timely manner. We tried our best to accommodate all of our customers.
