When scheduling an appointment, I spoke with Jerry who was very professional and kind on the phone. He quoted me a price for a new windshield. He also told me about what that was going to "buy me" if you will. It entailed removal of the old windshield, removing old glues and glass seal, adding primer to protect any scraped metal during adhesive removal, adding a new adhesive, then putting the rubber seal on the glass, and re-installing the windshield. The broken windshield would be hauled off for me. This sounded great and within 24 hours a service man arrived at my work to get it fixed. I didn't have to be at home or drive to where their office was located. Time saver!
When the service man arrived, he did exactly what Jerry told me would happen. I watched the whole process and the service guy didn't mind. In fact, he also told me tips and tricks about putting in a windshield. He also mentioned where people take short cuts to save money and how in the short term it doesn't seem like anything, but if a windshield needs to be replaced again that is when the problems arise. It made logical sense to me and I enjoyed learning what to watch out for and what to expect for the next time around.
