I spoke with you at length on the phone about our labor rate and the process we would be using to locate your leak. You were adamant that we not dig your yard, which as I explained may be the only way to find the leak. You had told me another plumber was out and couldn't find the leak because you wouldn't let him dig. You were well aware that a spot repair would be made IF we could find the leak. Unfortunately, the leak wasn't able to be found. Our plumbers kept you up to date every step of the way. Today our plumber stated to you that if he can't find the leak within a four-hour time frame today, we would recommend replacement of the line, and you approved us to continue, knowing full well our labor rate. You didn't mention in this review that you also had your main shut off valve rebuilt, as well as a tree removed by us. Yes, you can find cheaper labor but you hired us knowing our rates. Unfortunately this leak is in your yard somewhere and not at a connection near the meter or the home as is usually the case, as I explained to you. You could have stopped us at any time you felt it was too expensive for you, as we kept you very informed of the charges. Good luck with getting your line replaced."
