I found Rick's Performance through Yelp when I moved to Pleasanton 3 years ago and have been taking my cars to him ever since!  I feel like I've finally found a mechanic I can trust.  I have a 2006 Toyota Corolla and a 2012 Subaru Forester and both cars have been doing great under Rick's care.  I recently had a 120k mile service performed on my Toyota Corolla.  Towards the end of the service, they let me know that my battery life was running low and asked me if I wanted them to replace it or if I preferred to replace it myself.  I appreciate that they gave me the option rather than just telling me that it needed to be replaced.  I took my Forester in for a 7k mile service a few days before (two major services for both our cars during the same week...not fun) and Rick came out with my air filter to show me how dirty it was and asked me if I wanted to replace it.  Again, I appreciate how I was given an option rather than being scared into paying for a service (which has happened to me at other places).  
Rick's Performance has a very friendly and professional staff.  Janice and Shirley are both a pleasure to deal with.  I also like how they have a nice waiting area with coffee, brownies, bottled water,and comfortable seating.  It was actually the welcoming atmosphere of their waiting room that made me want to continue going to Rick's three years ago.  The prices are probably a tad more expensive than other places, but completely worth it, in my opinion!

Ricks's Performance machined the two front rotors, replaced the brake pads on the front end, rotated the tires and changed the oil with synthetic oil. I first spoke with Janet on the phone about doing a brake job. Janet is extremely nice on the phone, setting up an appointment which fit my schedule. When I arrived,  Janet was even nicer in person. She already had all the paperwork filled out before I arrived, only needing to jot down the mileage. My vehicle was taken in immediately after I arrived for a complete assessment of my brakes while I waited in the immaculate waiting room complete with a big screen T.V. and hot coffee. Janet gave me a time when my vehicle would be ready, and it was done when promised. Everyone I dealt with at Rick's Performance was friendly, helpful and professional. Rick's also gave me A.A.A. discount on my bill, bringing the total cost to $684.01.

It is a real clean shop.  They try to fit me in when I call.  They are pretty fast.

They were able to diagnose why the light was on in my vehicle.

Very good service. Work area was very clean. Gave me a written estimate and offered to take me home. Repair was done quickly but the window broke recently. My son repaired.

Rick's is pretty conveniently located, and Rick and his shop have been quite visible in the community at street fairs, etc.  They use the web effectively and efficiently, and has just started a frequent customer program -- which I don't really want to use because who wants their car serviced all the time (rethink that Rick!).  I can happily recommend this shop for your repair needs.

Rick's did an outstanding job as usual. They are very professional and do a great job of telling you what is wrong. I know a lot about cars, and everything they have told me rings true. The price is high, but in this case you are getting what you pay for.

Checked on Angie's List for auto mechanics; called around and Rick's performed work on my make of vehicle. Went for an estimate and was satisfied with responses from service person at the counter. Came back two days later and left the car.

I thought they were pretty good.

I found Rick's Rotary Performance a couple of years ago after a bad experience at my local Nissan dealership. When my car has a problem, I know I can bring it to Rick and he will find out what is going on and fix it. All the charges are always explained up front and if he finds other problems that need to be repaired he will let you know but doesn't pressure you to do it that same day.

As far as I'm concerned, they did an excellent job on my car. They did exceed their estimate very slightly but I can understand so I'm not upset with them.

I always take my Miata there. He only works on foreign cars and is very knowledgeable about them. He is professional, honest and quite reasonable.
