We had recently remodeled the kitchen and had a new faucet iinstalled. At the time of installation, the contractor said a part was missing to the faucet that affixes it to the counter and put in something else to hold it in place. Over the last couple of months however, that part became loose and thus the faucet was loose on the granite countertop. I ordered the missing part from the faucet manufacturer and had Doug install it which required him to basically take the faucet off and reinstall it. He also tweaked a few other things while doing that (contractor had been a little sloppy). Doug also removed the flow resistor off of our showerhead since the water pressure was extremely weak. Now we have a veritable waterfall! Unlike the other Angie's List plumber I called, Doug promptly returned my initial call in the morning asking for service. Even though Doug said he may not have time of the day I called and that he might have to come the following day, he was able to make time for me at the end of the day and I got the work done on the same day I made initial contact. He didn't try to sell me any other service. He was polite and very neat. I will gladly use him again.

I’ve used him since 1982. He is great. He is always there and comes out the same day if I need him. His prices are great and he is very thorough.

I'd just had a new bathroom floor put in, and needed a new toilet installed. This is the second time I've used Doug. He was great, helped me select a unit that would work for me, and expert installation. He was also great at scheduling a time that coordinated with the new floor being completed. Doug has great expertise as a plumber, fair pricing, is on-time with appointments. I'd highly recommend him to anyone on Angie's List.

It was a Saturday when I noticed a little seepage coming out of the bottom of my toilet where it meets the floor. So I called Doug and left a message asking to call me back the following week to schedule a time. Well, he called back like an hour later and said he could fit in my job that day! I was surprised and pleased that he could come so quickly. He took care of my problem in no time and I thought the cost was very reasonable. He's a nice guy and very professional.

I decided to go with Doug because I wanted it done right, have no doubts. He impressed me because he's very experienced and knowledgable. I've tackled some little plumbing work over the years but fortunately I wisened up and had a professional plumber handle the work. It was way more reasonable than I thought it might be. He repaired a garbage disposal instead of changing it, after given pre-authorization to change it to brand new unit. Honest guy.

Got the referral for Doug Kuttruff from Angie's List. Called him earlier this morning, made the appointment for noon. He was right on time. Did an excellent job isolating what the problem was. Suggested I also replace some corroded connecting lines, which I agreed to. Leak is gone, new faucet well installed. Very personable, very professional. All the right tools, left no mess at all. I highly recommend him.

Our kitchen sink/disposal was clogged due to unfortunate timing with disposing of wilted lettuce and a whole bunch of egg shells. I called Kuttruff the next morning, and he came by later that day. He was professional, courteous and easy to work with. Since he was there and the charges are by the hour, I asked if he would take a look at a couple other issues as well...mainly some slow drains in the bathroom sinks, shower and some faucets that were loose and swinging around when the knobs were turned. He graciously did as asked and showed me what he was doing. I always appreeciate when a contractor or service guy is willing to teach me about what he is doing. I didn't grow up in a DIY house and any opportunity to learn about the systems of the house is great! I will definitely use Kuttruff Plumbing in the future as I was satisfied with the work and the experience of working with them.

He responded to our job very quickly. When we scheduled the work to be done, he showed up on time. He never gave us a scope of work, nor did he tell us how much the job would cost with the labor. When he looked at the guest shower, he told us that it would cost $65 for the part to fix the leak. He never showed us the part that he put in, but it does look as if the leak is fixed. When Mr. Kuttruff saw the drain for the washing machine, he said he knew what needed to be done, and he snaked the drain from the outside of the house into the kitchen. He said that it tied in to the same drain that the washing machine was connected to. My wife has only done one load of laundry so we can't really tell if it is fixed. In the master bathroom shower, we asked him to check the hot and cold water faucets of the shower. He looked at the hot water side and said that he changed the washer, but later told my wife that he did not look or change any parts in the cold water side. He left the faucets very loose, to where I had to get out my own tools and tighten them up. When he was finished, we paid him in full, but he did not leave us a receipt for the work that he did. The only thing that he left behind was his business card.

We have worked with Doug for over 15 years, not for lack of options, but for his quality of service and customer care. Doug has always responded within an hour of our call, even on Sundays and Holidays. If an emergency, he is there within a few hours at worst. But unless requested otherwise by us, he is always on the job the same day. If the repair request is completed within the first hour charge, he will take the extra time to tighten faucets, sinks etc. He doesn't do major plumbing jobs, but is better than most and has better response to calls than anyone we have used on our numerous personal and rental properties. Doug's a 10.

Mr Kuttruff responded quickly, even though this was not an emergency plumbing situation, and installed a new kitchen faucet with spray attachment quickly and efficiently. I had tried to do the job myself, however I couldn't get the d*** old faucet off--that is the hard part--you need both the tools and the skills and I did not have either. I also asked Doug to insert a brass hole plug in the hole where the spray from the old Delta faucent had been. Everthing is solid and tight and no more dripping Delta faucet in my kitchen.

In every instance, Mr. Kuttruff responded very quickly to our call and completed the work quickly with no call backs. He is very professional and knowledgeable.

I called Doug Kuttruff to give me a bid for a new water heater. He was very accommodating and promptly came out and gave me a bid. I accepted his bid, and asked how long it would take for him to do the work. He said, all he had to do was make a call and the water heater would be delivered. Installation including delivery would take about two hours. I left him to do his thing and two hours later, true to his word, I beheld a fully installed, brand new, sparkly Bradford White water heater. The work included some upgrades as per code. The old water heater had vanished. The new one works great. Doug does good work and is a good guy. I recommend him.

He wasn't able to do the job that I needed him to do. It was a very large job. He was very professional. Everything about the job was positive.

It went very well. I have had no problems since they came out. They were very quick and efficient.

My Kuttruff returned my call for an estimate within minutes of leaving a message, and set an appointment to look at the issues the following day (a Saturday). He arrived on time, was very professional, and gave me a VERY reasonable estimate compared to others I received. He also correctly identified the problem as much simpler than others had. He offered to start immediately, and even with the added job of replacing a portion of broken waste pipe under the house, was finished in 2 hours. He kept everything clean, was very concientious and considerate, and quite thorough. I would absolutely call him for future problems and recommendhim to friends and family.

A pedestal sink in a bathroom was leaking. It had been incorrectly installed by the previous owner (curiously a contractor himself). It was glued to the wall and had to be removed. Mr. Kuttruff removed it with very little damage to the wall. I painted the wall and baseboard, and he installed the new cabinet and sink I purchased. He was not only on time, but able to come earlier to do the installation! Very fair price, excellent work and service. We will call him for future issues that arise!
