"Dear [Member Name Removed], thank you very much for your feedback, and for choosing Universal Appliance and Kitchen Center!"
"Thank you for sharing your feedback and for choosing Universal Appliance Repair!"
"Dear Customer I would like to sincerely apologize for your negative experience with our company. The $59 trip charge that you’ve been quoted we didn’t charge you, since the repair was done. Our technician charged you $129 for labor, but it’s not our maximum labor charge. We’ve repaired your Gaggenau wall oven in 2009 and the labor charge at that time was $159.95. Our labor charges are based on the repair. In regards to the repair of your clothes washer we had to charge you the additional amount for the water pump and sales tax. That is why the estimate for the repair was $255. Since repair was completed back in September and you never called us back I assume that the problem was diagnosed properly and the repair was satisfactorily completed."
"I would like to thank you for choosing Universal Appliance and Kitchen Center to diagnose your broken ice maker and at the same time apologize for your negative repair experience. When our technician, Joseph, came to your house on April 15th, 2012 the ice maker was not functioning properly it was determined by our Factory Trained technician that said ice maker was not repairable and needed to be replaced (please note that the refrigerator was cooling properly during this visit). Since you decide not to replace the ice maker you were charged $59 Trip Charge for technician’s time to come to your house and inspect the problem that you’ve complained about. When you called back a month later, on May 16th, 2012 with a completely different problem, freezer defrosting, you were advised that in order to send you our technician back to your house we will charge you a new Trip Charge fee of $59. Please understand that ice maker is not the part that’s cooling your refrigerator and freezer, it’s only making ice when freezer has proper temperature to freeze water. The refrigeration system is cooling by a compressor pumping Freon through the pipes inside the freezer. The entire cooling system of the refrigerator has a number of different parts, such as cold control, defrost timer, defrost thermostat, defrost heaters, compressor relay, start capacitor and many more functional parts. Therefore, if one of these parts isn’t working properly the entire refrigerator stop cooling and of course not making ice. So, I hope you can understand why we couldn’t send a technician free of charge. If we were to replace the ice maker during our initial visit in April and you would experience problem with an ice maker a month later we would send you a technician with no charge because it would have been covered under the ice maker warranty. The cooling system would still not be covered under the warranty, because it’s a completely different problem."
