 + -1 moreHe arrived on time and was able to work without interruption because he had all the parts I needed for the job to fix an internal leak of my hot and cold faucets that supply the washing machine. And he was groomed well, which may seem silly, but often people come to work with grease, dirty hands, etc. I was fortunate to have Ken, an associate of Chris, come to my new condo because he was focused, delightful, enthusiastic, good natured and the work was smooth and clean. No mess for me to clean up. Can't say enough because it is unusual to find an excellent plumber, who was loyal to me as a customer. The handling of the bill was done so well. No added costs, no complaining, so honest. He did more than I expected for the same price he quoted me. I'm really thrilled because I've been in the "market" for a good plumber that I could trust. I asked for his card and he and the company will be the "go to" plumber. I felt so pleased and trusting. Thank you Angie's List susan
Description of Work: Redid the plumbing, brought parts from his truck. He discovered a "behind the wall" leak from two faucets hot and cold. He fixed those, beautifully. In addition, he repositioned my washer and dryer so that it could fit into the new space they were in. I intended to hire someone to do that for me. He had to do work on the space, because washer/dryer did not fit in space and that was a courtesy.

 + -1 moreWe HIGHLY recommend S O S Plumbing!!! We were on a time restraint and only in the desert a few days. Chris sent his plumber Tim to our home and he did an incredible job! He went above and beyond helping us replace a higher grade stainless steel kitchen sink we had purchased. It did not fit into the previously cut granite holding the old sink and Tim contacted a stone cutter for us and came back after his normal working hours to install the sink, new garbage disposal, and hot water dispenser. We were also able to purchase the garbage disposal from him which saved us having to go back to the store. He did an excellent job and we are so thankful for ALL he did for us!!!

Living in the Coachella Valley, there are very few references from Angies List, so hopefully this will help. As an example, needed pool repair, received estimates from $6500 to $18,000, for exactly the same job.
Description of Work: Changed a valve in a bathroom, shower hot water. Cleaned shower head in another shower.

He and his helper arrived on time, removed the old water heater, installed the new one, cleaned up everything and were finished in less than 2 hrs. While here, he even checked a "phantom" flush in one of the toilets and fixed that.

 + -1 moreChris is the real deal. We have a rental property that was to be occupied in the next few days and we had a very narrow time window for service. The problem in the tub was easily diagnosed and fixed, all parts needed were in the truck. Explained things very clearly to us. While we were there we mentioned the toilet where we tried to fix the flapper mechanism ourselves and it would not consistently work. He took one look and repaired our foiled fix easily. He was very accommodating and gave us leads on other contractors in the area for pool repair, electrician etc. This was one of those situations where we needed to be bailed out of a small mess with potentially major consequences and we could not have been more satisfied. Very professional, courteous, reliable and reasonable. Thanks Chris!

I was so relieved to have the bathroom in good shape. I was impressed at Chris's professionalism and punctuality, including giving me a call when he started the job before mine, so I knew when he was about a half our out. Thank you SOS Plumbing!
Description of Work: Another plumber had "fixed" the toilets, but they were running constantly. I had to leave the next day, so I called SOS Plumbing right at opening time and asked if they could replace our toilet hardware today. They were spot on time, and had all the parts they needed.

 + 0 moreThey installed water bibs on the pool main line so that the gardener has water when we are away and shut the water off in the house. Also they installed a new 75 gallon hot water heater. Their first price was very high but they negotiated to an acceptable price. Would have been a nicer experience without the haggling but all in all I am very satisfied.

Description of Work: Numerous leaks under the sinks and showers. Faucets were cheap and leaking. My son's family was so frustrated with the plumbing problems. Chris was so helpful and spent a couple of hours changing several faucets and explaining the problems. He did not push expensive items. This young family appreciated his hard work and honesty.  + -1 morePoorly. The emergency service technician never called nor showed up at the property.
Description of Work: It was a Saturday night and my rental unit reported both toilets were clogged and wouldn't flush. I searched Angie's List for plumbers in my area that performed 24-hr emergency service. SOS Plumbing was on the list, so I called and reached the dispatch center. The woman on the phone was very responsive, courteous and professional. She advised she's call the on-call technician and he'd call me back. After a 15-min wait with nothing, I called back the dispatch center to ask if the tech was going to call me FROM the property or BEFORE he went to the property. She stated he should have called my now and put me on hold. When she returned, she advised that she both called and texted the on-call technician. From there, it was up to him to respond and there was nothing else she could do. The technician never called. SOS Plumbing may do great work during the operating hours, but they should remove the 24-hr emergency service availability sign on the website if they are not going to respond as advertised. I wasted 30 minutes on them; if I would have been in a flooded condition, the situation could have been worse. I would advise a follow up with SOS on their emergency service availability, so that others don't have the same experience as I did. Thanx.
