Their service was very good. They were very thorough. I felt like Jon, the owner, had a lot of really good information. He did not push me to go with his company but wanted to give me the best information possible. I was really happy with everything about them.

They were recommended to us by another Angie’s List provider. I was satisfied with their work. They did a very complete job. They seemed to know what they were doing. I would use them again.

Too Bad there is NOT an A++++ because John and his crew deserve such a rating. We used his service to trim some wind damaged trees and clip/shape several others PLUS yard work/clearing. I cannot speak more highly of a service because he is not "just" professional and extremely competent but friendly and exceedingly agreeable/polite. I do not think you can make him mad even if you change an 'order' mid-service (we didn't actually but asked about doing something a bit different, woman can be picky - yeah, I'm the husband!) If he says "he'll be there", he is (and perchance if he is going to be a bit late, he calls!); if he says "It will cost this much" it will. I've never had the slightest variation in quotes vs. billing and he has even LOWERED his final bill because his men got done an hour early! I sincerely think you cannot do better for trees, yards, sprinklers (yup, does them in the yard stuff) and landscaping. I recommend him without reservation!

From my first meeting with the owner, John Colizzi, it was a perfect transaction. He told me what needed to be done and that they would do their best to protect my rose garden and flower garden. He sent me an estimate with description and recommendations. I thought it was very fair and we set a date for the work. The doorball rang at exactly the time they said. I was introduced to his crew and they began the work. We have had this tree trimmed many times over the more than 25 years we have lived here, and this was the best job we have ever had. Not only was the tree heavily trimmed and beautifully shaped, but the workers took great care to protect all of the plants growing nearby. They were very personable and seemed to take great pride in their work. Their cleanup was also very impressive. I have 5 citrus trees that also need to be pruned, and I am planning to have them do that work also in the next month or two.

The owner seemed honest, and his workers were very courteous and polite. They arrived on time every day. Most importantly, they did their work well.

The owner was punctual in providing me with an estimate, and their work was done well. However, there was a discrepancy with the bill he presented. He recalled his initial quote as being one price, and I remembered it as being another. I ended up forwarding him the email he sent to me containing the estimate, and he refunded me the difference.

I think they provided a good service. The crew was timely and efficient. I’m a happy customer, and I would hire them again.

Overall, I think everything went fine. That being said, it did seem that they had more knowledge for some trees than others. However, I was happy with their work.

The work turned out very good. We were very happy. They were excellent. We plan on calling them again to have some work done.

We got several estimates to trim all the trees in our yard, and from the first phone call to John, I was impressed with his promptness, friendliness, and knowledge. He was available to come out the next day for an estimate, and arrived early. His knowledge of trees was quite impressive, but what was even more impressive was his love of them. It was instantly obvious that he loves what he does, and that he wanted to make the trees beautiful, not just hack them up. During the estimate, my husband and I also had brought up the issue of trimming a grapefruit tree, and John suggested that it didn't need trimming, and the proper season to do it (fall or winter) I was impressed that he was honest about that, and not just trying to get more of a job and a higher bid from us. Based on his knowledge and care, and also the fact that his bid was the most competitive, we hired him. He and his crew showed up early for the job, and worked tirelessly for 2 days. They did a beautiful and thorough job, not just on the trees, but also on cleanup. One of our trees carried over into our neighbor's front yard, and John was very professional in that he approached her and made sure that they covered her property where tree limbs could potentially fall. Overall, the trees look beautiful, just thinned out and cleaned up.

I called Wednesday. An employee came out Thursday morning to look at the work to give me a quote. He said he would e-mail me a quote that afternoon.

Short summary: Hire this company. The situation/concerns: 1. Large overgrown Chinaberry tree with large branch hanging over house. - Wanted either heavy trim or cut branch way back. 2. Bird of Paradise tree with history of root system invading sewer line in front yard. - Wanted the thing gone. The story: I had a couple of estimates done. John seemed the most knowledgeable about the trees and the proper techniques to use and was right in line price-wise. Ultimately I decided to go with Best Care Tree Service. I scheduled the service and John gave me a reminder call the day before the service day, which was nice. John and his crew showed up on time, wore clean matching uniforms, and began working immediately. All of the guys were very pleasant and worked hard. The Chinaberry tree was sculpted very nicely and the branch in question was trimmed back enough to not be a hazard, yet maintained the visual balance (2 main branches that V at the trunk). They didn't hack the tree, they trimmed it beautifully. The Bird of Paradise tree in the front was removed with great care and understanding that it's trunk and roots were directly over the main sewer line. The guys worked fast and left my yard and roof cleaner than when they came. I even noticed one of the guys cleaning out one of my gutters. Bravo. John was prompt and professional in giving the estimate. He had to re-schedule the date of the estimate, but he let us know in advance. John's price was very competitive. Once the work was scheduled, John and his team were on time. We discussed the work in some detail and then John made sure the crew followed the guidelines. I asked for a little more trimming to be done on some of the trees, and his team was extremely gracious and accommodating with these requests. They cleaned up the branches and limbs thoroughly. They were very courteous with our neighbors, making sure not to block driveways, to clean up, etc. Due to a beehive in one of the trees, the crew had to stop work. They completed what they could and re-scheduled to complete that tree several days later. It was a excellent experience.

The owner of the company was an ultimate professional from start to finish. We got an immediate quote which was more than fair. The work was of the utmost quality. So much so that we plan on having them come back to trim and plant a tree. The name of the company fits the product. They are the BEST TREE SERVICE in every way. We only wish we would have contacted them earlier when confronted with other tree needs.

The owner, John, came out an gave an honest evaluation of several tree problems - potentially saving me a lot of money. I had him and his crew trim an oak tree and a couple of bonsai pine trees. His crew was very professional and courteous. I would definitely use his services in the future.

We're absolutely thrilled with the work.

The tree had not been trimmed for at least 8 years, so it was overdue. They showed up on time, did a great job, and cleaned up thoroughly. Very pleased with everything from the estimate to the work itself.

John and his crew arrived as scheduled. His guys are great- polite, helpful, clean cut and very hard workers. They are very experienced and worked well together. The weather was super hot both days of the job but the crew worked very hard and everything was finished on time. The tree trimmer is especially wonderful, a true artist. My trees look better than many other recently trimmed trees in my neighborhood.

Quick response, same day estimate. Price was fair. Took a few days for him to get back with date to do work. Scheduled it, they showed up on time and did a great job. Moved any furniture that was in their way and moved it back afterwards. Job site was clean when they left, would definitely use again.

Though John was busy and could not be there to do or oversee the work himself, his crew was efficient, knowledgeable, and courteous. They took about 5 or 6 hours to complete the job, and did it faster than quoted. The big trees in the back were thinned out evenly, the tree removed from the front yard was removed, stump and all with only a small, neat divot left behind, and the messy bushes in the back were dug up and removed completely and neatly. The large pine trees limbs that overhung our roof were also cut in such a way that the tree did not look lopsided or barren. The crew worked safely with ropes and ties to make sure nothing fell onto the roof during the removal. When they were finished, they worked to chip all branches and debris, and left the front and back yard tidy. The final price given was the price I had been quoted when John walked the yard a week earlier. He said his prices were fair, landing in the middle of what a large company with a lot of overflow business might charge, and a what a small company who needs the work might discount the price to. I did not get other quotes to verify this however, but I was satisfied with the work done, and felt comfortable in the hands of John and his crew -- people who seem to take pride in their business and their work, and who were happy to chat with me about what they were doing and why.
