They did a great job. Showed up when they said they would. I had tried to fix it myself by resetting the two rollout switches. They reset the rollout switch at the top of the unit that I did not know was there (that's why you call a professional). They also cleaned a blower. Didn't try to sell us anything we didn't need. Good service, straight forward and honest. I now have a "go to" HVAC company.

We just had Golden Aire install a brand new HVAC.  There service was awesome, I can?t say enough positive things abut them. 
The entire staff was friendly and courteous.  They paid attention to every detail.  They had the best price of three bids I received.  The HVAC unit it top rated by Consumer Reports.  The owner?s are El Dorado Hills residents.  I highly recommend them.

Very happy with my experience so far. Goldenaire called back quickly to schedule an estimate, then the owner (Ken Golden) came out personally the next morning and provided a detailed, written estimate with different options to help make things more affordable. He was also very willing and open to answering my questions. (One of the other companies that gave me an estimate just scribbled a few notes down on a piece of paper and seemed reluctant to discuss details or answer questions).
Two days after I gave the go-ahead, the Goldenaire crew was at my door for the installation (at exactly the promised time -- 7 am!). Job was done by around 3 pm. The lead installer Kenny was very courteous and professional. I believe he's the owner's son, and I'm hoping he takes over the business eventually as I would definitely hire him again in the future. Speaking of which, this company included 5 years of labor as part of the system warranty. (The other companies that submitted estimates only included a year of labor).
I won't know how well the system works until this summer, but will update this review if anything about my experience changes.

We had an excellent experience w/ Golden-Aire.  Professional scheduling, call-backs, and day-prior appointment confirmation calls. Appointments started on-time, and Ed and his team provided a highly experienced diagnosis and explanations of repair or replace options.  After diagnosis, they offered a couple solutions and cost options for our consideration including a series of repairs, or partial or full system replacement. Given the age of our system, ultimately we decided on full replacement. Absolutely no time or sales pressure, unlike my experience w/ a competing company when getting the 1st estimate. The installation staff w/ very professional and courteous, with attention to detail and maintaining cleanliness of surrounding areas in the home.  Don't waste any time on the other guys - just give Ed a call at Golden-Aire.  I highly recommend them. They will be our family's HVAC company going forward.

We first recommended them to my father-in-law. We had a very good experience with them. The cost was very reasonable. We were extremely pleased with them. They did a very good job. They are very trustworthy too. In fact, I would just go with them again. If I had any more heating and air situation or even if I just wanted it get cleaned, I would just go back with them because you want to stay with someone you can trust and they are trustworthy.

This company was great. Their price was much more reasonable than a competitor that gave me a quote. They even did repairs to my duct work while they were inspecting it. I have also recommended this company to my son!

The repair on my Air Conditioner helped me avoid having to buy a whole new system. Another competitor wouldn't do that, but wanted to sell me a whole new system. So I would recommend them, they are very good. They don't try to put pressure on you. They try to work with you within what you want to do. The cost was reasonable. I was impressed with their professionalism. I felt that they were on time, punctual. If they were going to be late - or even if they weren't going to be late - they would give me a heads up that they were en route, so they were respectful of my time. I dealt with two of the brothers who run the company, and both of them have been in business for a long time, so they are very seasoned. They didn't check the system because somebody else had already checked it, so the system was ok. But because of this one problem that I was having, the company that checked it were suggesting that I put in a whole new system, though the Air Conditioning system was working ok. I had a problem with the condensation not collecting in the pan. Overall I would say that they are professional, they work within your budget, they are not high-pressured - which I like. They are honest. In fact, when they did quote me for the same kind of Air Conditioning System that another competitor, Golden Aire were over a thousand dollars less, and for a better system that I would have gotten rebates for. I felt that the other company overcharged and were not honest, in my way of looking at it. I felt Golden Aire were trustworthy. I will have them come out and do periodic checks on the system because I like the way they do things. At the sales end of it they don't strongarm you, they don't pressure you. They don't tell you "Oh, the system is going to blow up on you." Basically, they were saying "You still have more time on it." I would recommend them to anyone, based on my experience. They are first class.

They came out on time on the expected day.  The technicians were nice folks, respectful of our home and tried to minimize the impact of their work.  They worked hard, put down tarps to protect the floors and furniture, cleaned up after themselves and did good work.  Their measure of initial duct leakage was lower than an energy audit we had gotten a few months before and I suspect more accurate.  They measured after they sealed the ducts and it had gone from 15% to 8%.  The reason I gave them a B on quality is that they missed sealing two vents in the bathrooms and had to come back and finish the work later on.  This was done with no pushback within a couple days.  One of the vents was not connected, so it probably reduced the leakage by another 3-4%.  Once finished the work was of good quality and I was satisfied, but better attention to detail would have saved them a followup trip.

They came in right away because of my issue that I had with my propane tank. They came out the next day. They were accommodating. SUPER! They were more than I expected. The owner came right out! His assistant Gary is professional and pleasant to work with.

Golden Aire was courtios over the phone on the first contact.  Understood the problem I was having with my "Smart Vent" system. They had a service tech that was familiar with that system and we made an appointment.  The service tech called 30 minutes before arriving and was on time.  The service tech was very knowledgable of the system and found that it was not set correctly.  I had just purchased the home and did not have any instruction book or idea of how to properly operate the system.  The service tech checked the entire system to make sure it was working properly.  He even went as far as to contact the actual company that made the controller and was able to obtain and e-mail a copy of the instruction manual, something that I had not been able to find anywhere, including the internet.  They could have told me something was wrong with the system and sold me a bunch of parts I did not need.  Instead they were honest about not needing any parts and adjusted the system for me.
I would deffinately recommend this company.

Golden Aire Heating & Air were very fairly priced. They were the least expensive of the 5 companies I looked at. They offered me more than the other companies, a lot of value. I would give them A+s if I could. I would absolutely use them. If I bought a new house and needed the system I don't know if I would call anybody else. Not only were they really honest and very personable, but they went above and beyond what it took to install they system for me. They took a lot of time in helping me understand how the system worked and educated me. They did a lot of extra things that I didn't ask them to. When they found something that needed to be done they did it with out charging me. They were just a joy to work with. They are happy, positive, upbeat, and they are not trying to do a heavy sell on you. It was an incredible experience working with them. I have had questions since they completed the install and they have helped me. I would highly recommend them.

Golden Aire installed the unit about ten years ago and service it regularly. A real person answers the phone which I appreciate. The techs are always on time for the appointment and are very professional.  I recommend them to everyone and will definitely have Them install and service the next unit.

Ed Golden arrived shortly after 7:00 AM and the crew shortly thereafter. The crew worked on the A/C and Heating system simultaneously. They laid down a tarp material in the house to walk on and catch debris. The crew was very polite and personable.It took them 1-1/2 days to do the work. I worked in my home office while they installed the A/C and Heating system. The crew was proficient, courteous and cleaned up the debris before leaving. I am totally satisfied with the work done by Golden Aire and would recommend this company to anyone.

It was very good. As per their bids they were right on. They were very professional and were in and out in one day.

The company that installed my HVAC system used to perform routine maintenance checks too, but they have discontinued this service.  They recommended another company to do maintenance checks, but that company has an overall "D" grade on Angie's List.  So I checked the List for alternatives and found Golden Aire, a company that received good reports from other Angie's List members.

Chris from Golden Aire performed a complete check of the A/C system.  Gary found a filter for the unit.  My system has filters that aren't easy to find, and I really appreciated the effort to locate the filter and to send Rick out to install it today.

Cheis arrived right on time, quickly determined what repair was needed and replaced the offending part, leaving everything neatly behind him. He was so nice as to put in our furnace filter at no extra cost on his way out with the ladder. Nice firm, reasonable price and they go the extra distance for you. Will definitely use them at a later date when needing that type service!

Friendly knowledgeable repairman.

They showed up on time, disconnected all the wires and tubes and moved them accross our attic and to an outside wall where they popped a hole in the wall and pushed everything out and down the wall to the position where the AC would be. They incased everything in a metal shield, moved the AC unit it self and within 4 hours we were good to go. They did a great job. It was something I had wanted to do for a long, long time, but didn't even know if it was possible. Eddie was easy to deal with and although spoke to me about my options (new stuff), he didn't put any pressure on me to buy a new unit at all (unlike other companies I contacted).
