My elderly father had asked the installer from Fast Water Heater if there was a way he could save some money to have his water heater replaced. He basically asked for a discount.  The installer proceeded to point out some items that we may be able to get away with.  He never once mentioned that inspection will fail if we did so.  He also did not, at any time, mentioned that we'll have to pay extra for him to come back out.  Of course, my father trusted this guy- thinking that he was an expert- took his recommendation and opted not to have some things done.  Well, no surprises here since the city came out after the work was done and inspection failed.  First of all, I think that the installer should not have done this job knowing full well that it will not pass inspection.  Secondly, I think it is extremely bad business practice for Fast Water Heater to charge a service call of $139.00 when they know full well that inspection will fail and that they?ll have to come back out.  This is a ploy to charge extra. We know that we have to pay for the work that is needed to get it up to code but a hefty service call fee on top of that is outrageous!  I contacted the company from Washington state and they did not attempt to make things right for their customers.  Ended up taking my business to someone local who waived the service charge.  I don?t recommend Fast Water Heater!!!

It went excellent.  The technician was prompt, did what he said he was going to do, did it quickly, and left no mess behind.

Kevin was the main installer on this job and truly knew this trade.

After removing the old water heater he went over the list of code requirements that were necessary in putting in

a new water heater.  This included a blow out valve and piping, etc. 

We purchased the new water heater via an Angie's special sale. 

What was most notable about this purchase was the care and attention Kevin gave to the smallest details of installation.

Whether it was leveling the heater in place or insuring the earthquake straps were secure to drilling through the garage wall to extend the blow out valve piping he was meticulous and made the installation look like a mechanical sculpture. He is to be commended for his quality of workmanship.

I purchased Angie List deal on 4/12 in the afternoon. I received an email response by Jake the project coordinter within a couple of hours. I called 4/13 and had it scheduled for 4/14. The installer Dean arrived 1/2 hour earlier than scheduled. He was very nice, informative and honest. He was done with the job within an hour and half. He did a great job and made sure everything was done properly. I would recommend this company..

It went great.   The serviceman was polite, professional and completed the work without any issues.  I would use them again. 

Water heater was purchased on Angieslist Big Deal.  Steve arrived as scheduled, informed me of the additional costs to bring the install up to the building code.  I did not need same day service.

I decided to write this review because their price is about two times the price of two other quotes I just got; keep in mind they did not perform the work. Asked for quote to re install an existing gas water heater. Said they only (re) installed GE/? brand that were in warranty & price would $499 plus parts to make code. This is ~twice the price just quoted from two other plumber businesses.  I originally installed this heater in less that one hour; current work is being performed under an insurance claim..

Contacted company (10 minute wait) gave them my information and got information on model and type of water heater; told them I wanted to check specks; called back asking about another model held while they got me price for it. got direct line for the the person I spoke to told him I wanted to speak to my wife at the price increase was substantially more. I called back and left a message that I wanted the original offer. After a half an hour, I called again get transferred to on hold for the "nest available person; after 40 minutes i hung up and called to cancel my order

Called to schedule and waited a half an hour on hold.

I purchased a deal but I wasn't able to use it for the water heater I have however I like the company so I will probably still use them without the deal.

I live in Georgia; the rental property is in Los Angeles, California. I went on Angie's List and reviewed several providers in the zip code of the property and compared them to the product and installation costs. I selected Fast Water Heater. They were very accommodating in providing service during the time a neighbor could be there to provide them access. They were running behind but made an heroic effort to meet the time frame I had requested. The installer was very professional and contacted me in Georgia to alert me that the codes had changed and that I would need to replace the vent system. While the final cost was more than I had anticipated through no fault of Fast Water Heater, I appreciated that I received prompt and professional service. I would not hesitate to use their services or recommend them again.

The service was provided to my satisfaction.  The plumber was on-time, hooked up the water hose to the water heater, drained the water heater, and cleaned up. Also, he answered all questions.

From start to finish, this transaction went very well.  I bought the $847 special on their Angie's List site.  Scheduler Ryan called me the next day and was very professional.  Set up the appt for today, Saturday, between 9-12.  Technician Kevin Clement called at 9:00 to say he'd be there at 9:30.  He worked quickly and was very thorough.  Explained everything, earthquake strapped the new water heater and left the area very neat.  Kevin was very friendly and knowledgeable, and I wouldn't hesitate to use this vendor again!
