- I was very pleased with the service I received from this provider. We had accumulated quite a lot of material over the years, which required secure disposal. I communicated with Jim initially through Angie's List and, once we made contact, he explained the process and pricing over the phone. I selected the offsite option, as it seemed the best option for our situation. Jim and I finalized the contractual paperwork over email.
The Shred-it representative arrived on schedule and picked up the material to be shredded at their location. We received certification of it destruction shortly thereafter.
I would definitely recommend Shred-it to anyone who has a large volume of material that requires a secure disposal.

The company I used to work for contracted with Shred It and they provided a decent service. So when I would accumulate my personal papers and when I had a file box full, I would take the box to Shred It in Vista and they would charge me a reasonable price for the single box. I have done this for years and years. Unfortunately, this last time I went to dispose of a box, they had moved and when I called them to find their new location, I was told that they would not be taking any drop-offs for several weeks due to the move. No problem. However, when I called after waiting several weeks, I was told that they had changed their corporate policy and no longer took single box drop-offs ... ten box minimum.

We arrived at the Shred It Office and were promptly brought to their office Manager (Marcia), who couldn't have been more professional, helpful and courteous. She promptly completed the paperwork. Due to some difficulty in finding their location (totally our fault) she waived all charges. Tried to override that decision, but she was adament. She called a service man to meet us at the car and he, kindly unloaded the boxes and moved them to the shredding operation. Truly a professional organization with an obvious comprable professional staff. A totally unexpected/nice experience ... will use them again and refer family and friends to that very useful business.
