Ronnie and his crew spoke with us every day, keeping us informed and making sure we were pleased throughout the process. The transformation happened in such a short period of time - these guys are great! At the last minute when the job was nearly completed, we realized that we didn't like our vinyl fence meeting our brick wall. No problem - Ronnie to the rescue! The guys extended our new wall to meet our glass wall. We're so happy with the results!!

Ronnie and Lee were great to work with. We had a short time frame before a party we had planned and Ronnie made every effort to be sure we were ready to go. Ronnie consistently worked with us from the initial call, site visit, picking out the colors and design, scheduling, actual work and walk through. I could not have asked for a better job and his insights and recommendations were perfect. Looking forward to have them back out for a couple more projects we have planned in the coming year.

The job was performed quickly and neatly. They worked with us in finding just the right combination of paver colors to blend well with our existing pavers on the walkway. They even pressure washed our existing walkway and sealed it along with the new driveway at no extra cost. The driveway was approximately 1200 sqft and we had to have a lot of dirt removed. There was no pre-existing driveway with cement or asphalt. When it was complete I couldn't believe how well it came out. They completely exceeded my expectations and it look far better than I could of imagined or dreamed of!!! Ronnie and Lee were amazing!!!

The owner, Ronnie Hemphill, was easy to work with and had many good ideas about how to make the job look really good. He was very patient with a few changes we made as the job progressed. He also had us visit Orco Block in Oceanside to see the various pavers and configurations which made us feel better about our choice of pavers.

As soon as we had approval from our HOA to have the work done, they started immediately. The workers were fast, efficient, and professional.  All of our concerns were addressed quickly and the job finished in the time promised.  We are extremely happy with the final results and highly recommend North County Pavers.

The job was finished on June 2, 2016. Overall, I am very happy with the quality of the work performed and materials used. Fawn and Ronnie were pleasant to work with and very responsive to my concerns. They definitely care about their customers' satisfaction. After we narrowed down the design, Ronnie brought over paver samples from two different manufacturers, and I was able to select the one that I liked, which was ORCO, Barcelona Montecito. For pebbles, I selected Imperial Pebble. The crew worked hard over the three day period to complete the job. I was somewhat less impressed with Oscar, the supervisor assigned to my job, who was on the job site for only very short periods of time and did not come to inspect the job's completion on the last day. As a result, the finishing (such as compacting of the sand in between the paver joists) was lacking, and I can already see some areas where the sand is missing (although it doesn't seem to affect the pavers at the moment). In the end, I'd recommend North County Pavers for their customer care, timeliness, and quality of work. Thank you Ronnie and Fawn!

It went like clock work it was completed in 7 days and everyone was pleasant, hard working an professional.

Ronnie (the owner) came TWICE to give us ideas and estimates. He gave a quote immediately, and spent the time to understand our needs. He and Fawn were very responsive by emails, trying to work out the details (size of pavers, pattern, turf, as well as payment plan). So we were pleased with the process before we signed the contract. After that, the guys showed up as planned and the job was done in 4 days, on schedule. The crew was on-time and hard-working. The end result was phenomenal and we're very happy with the overall remodel.

I live in a condo and have a small back patio area. There was a small area of concrete and lots of overgrown and ugly plants, so I wanted it all replaced with pavers in order to create a more usable space. It was a MESS before, so even though I have a small space, it was a big project! I went with North County Pavers because Ronnie is so professional, and I liked that he has such a hands on approach to each project they're working on. I felt more comfortable going with a company where the owner is so involved. He made sure to go over everything carefully (I had a lot of questions because this was my first major home project), and he was always available any time any new questions or concerns came up. The entire process couldn't have been more seamless, from bid to completion. Oscar and his crew were so professional and so courteous. Since I live in a condo, I have neighbors close by, but Oscar and his crew were always considerate about not being too disruptive. One of my neighbors commented about how professional they were. And they even helped me deal with the HOA when they were being a pain about things, so that was much appreciated! I'm so glad I went with North County Pavers! I love my back patio and can't wait to enjoy it for years to come.

We have recently completed a major water saving project at our home with the assistance of North County Pavers and we are extremely satisfied with the results as well as the process.

 

Working with Ronnie Hemphill and his staff was professional and friendly. Ron took our ideas then suggested some modifications for style and functionality, all of which, in our opinion, improved our view of the project.

 

Several challenges had to be addressed, matching existing pavers and pattern, caution with garden light wiring, elimination of some existing irrigation pipes and existing drainage pipes.

 

All these challenges were meet. The old and new pavers blend and one would have a difficult time seeing where the old pavers ended and the new began. All garden lights were working at the completion of the project. His crew, working with our gardener, rerouted and/or eliminated irrigation pipes were. The existing drainage piping was adjusted and two rain drains from the house were attached to the system, all of which are working after the recent rain.

 

We cannot heap enough praise on Ron and his crew. North County Pavers’ business is complemented by Ron’s personality, design knowledge and creativity. His skilled, dedicated and friendly staff enhances the company.

 

It has been a pleasant and rewarding experience dealing with all associated with North County Pavers. I highly recommend them, if you are considering a water saving project or just want to have some pavers installed.

Had 5 bids for the driveway.  Went with Ronnie for the following reasons: 1. He understood my expectations and gave me all the options that I could consider for the project, and not just his idea.  2. Fair Price.  3. He did not bad mouth competitors.  4. The paver supplier gave him high praises.  Contract was drafted in a very professional manner.  Work was completed as schedule.  Oscar the supervisor was spot on.  He contacted me during every benchmark and at the end of the day.  You could tell that every member of his crew were meticulous with their standards and ensured a quality product.  Walk through was performed after the completion of the project and it was better than expected.

We had pavers installed in our back yard 2 years ago.  We had no experience with pavers, and were concerned that some of the sand filler between each paver had deteriorated.  Since most contractors don't provide a maintenance service, we were very happy to find North County Pavers and Ronnie Hempill. Ronnie examined our pavers and explained to us the reasons why we didn't need the service right now, we should wait for another couple of years.  We were very impressed with his honest assessment.   We will definitely call North County Pavers to eventually do the maintenance of our pavers.

EXCELLENT is the only way to describe how this job went.  We used North County Pavers in November 2015 when we did away with our concrete slab driveway and redid the entire driveway with pavers. (See my review dated 11/03/15). 

Ronnie Hemphill and his crew did such an amazing job on the driveway and the pavers looked so fantastic  that we knew we wanted more of these pavers to enhance the side and back of our home. 

Ronnie Hemphill, the owner, is a very hands-on person.  He is very easy to work with.  His crew are all North County Pavers employees.  They are all extremely professional and courteous.  Ronnie visits the site at least once a day to see how things are going and he wont settle for anything less than your total 200% satisfaction.  His pricing is very fair and he is most accommodating.  He is always reachable by phone as well and quickly returns calls. 

Ronnie gave us a time frame for the job and there were no delays.  Additionally, the company is very thoughtful of your own privacy.  They even get a portable "potty" delivered to the site so that the workers don't have to disturb your residence.  This allowed us to come and go as we pleased.  The men were all hard workers and did a great clean up as well.

Our neighbors are all impressed with how great our pavers look.  We are thankful to Angie's List because it is through Angie's List that we found North County Pavers and Ronnie Hemphill.  His wife, Fawn, is very quick to get you any paperwork you want such as Certificates of Insurance, etc.  They are just very easy to deal with.  My November 3rd review was spot on.

North County Pavers was a treat to work with from beginning to end. The company is owned and managed by a husband and wife team, Ronnie and Fawn Hemphill. Ronnie does the estimates and design, and oversees the site work. Fawn handles scheduling, paperwork and customer service.
Here's the absolutely terrific thing about the Hemphills: They run North County Pavers as if every customer was a next-door neighbor. Yes, they were prompt, courteous, and efficient. Yes, the work was on-time and well done. Yes, there was one small issue and a couple of questions--with any good-sized construction project, that's inevitable.
But this is where the Hemphills' "next-door neighbor" attitude makes such a difference. They are honest, pro-active, straightforward, and plain nice. They c-a-r-e about making customers happy and being sure a job is done right.
One small but revealing example: There was a $200 charge in the original North County Pavers contract for digging a 30' trench for the new water line (a very reasonable amount, BTW). For various reasons, the plumber wound up digging the trench and also charged me for it, which I didn't realize until I got his bill, several weeks after the patio was done. Ronnie wasn't aware of this either; his foreman was there the day the trench-work was done and didn't mention it.
I made a note to contact NCP about the charge but didn't consider it urgent. Yet just a few days later, I got a $200 check from Fawn without my ever even calling the office. She had heard about this from the plumber, not me, and instantly sent off a $200 refund check. 
Finally, the patio looks grrreat. When I initially explained to Ronnie the effect I had in mind, I liked his suggestions a lot. Still, you always cross your fingers. Ronnie nailed it. When friends, family and neighbors saw it for the first time, they all went: "Is this the same space?" It doesn't just look better. It looks bigger, airier, and more inviting. The new stone-like pavers he suggested somehow opened up the whole courtyard without being fussy or obtrusive. Fab-u-lous.
I waited a few months to write a review--which I always do--just to be sure no post-project problems surface. Not a single one.

North County Pavers did an amazing job! Ronnie came on time to give me an estimate and quickly addressed all questions that I had throughout the project. Ronnie picked out the perfect color of pavers, as well as blocks for the flower bed wall to match the existing ones (that were at least 12 years old). His workers were on time each day, completing the entire project in 3 days. They did a superb job making everything look continuous and beautiful. Now our backyard looks great and has much more usable space for us to enjoy.

Ronnie came over and gave us an estimate on a Wednesday, he had the best price and the best ideas so we signed a contract on the Friday and the work started on the following Monday . The existing grass and plants had to be removed as well as some concrete and then pavers were laid in the entire area The estimated time to complete the work was 5 - 7 days and even though we added to the scope of the project all was completed and cleaned up by the following Tuesday. The crew was very efficient and hardworking. We are very happy with the results and would definitely recommend North County Pavers

We are very pleased with the pavers recently installed by North County Pavers.  It was an entirely positive experience.  If you have
undertaken home improvement efforts, you are likely aware how rare this is.  Ronnie was true to his word.  He and his crew always showed up as promised or called ahead to explain if there was a slight delay.  The work was completed in the time and manner
promised.  We couldn?t have asked for a better experience and would be happy to serve as a reference if needed. 

Ronnie and his crew were excellent.  Completely professional.  I interviewed 8 different paver companies and Ronnie's design was by far the most beautiful. Pricing was fair and he met the other bids price during negotiation.  They demo'd 2500+ sq ft old asphalt driveway and front lawn andi  ialled beautiful interlocking paver driveway and Synturf as well as Synturf putting green in our backyard and paver mow strips.
The installation had a minor hiccup with some irrigation issues due to shallow irrigation lines that were in our property but these were remedied well, and the installation was otherwise fast, clean (as can be with paver dust), and done with excellent attention to detail.  I will be taking some photos soon to upload to their website.  Overall, we couldn't be happier with the final product!   Would highly recommend North County Pavers.

We couldn't be happier with the wonderful job Ronnie Hemphill's North County Pavers did for us.  We would highly recommend his company to anyone.  
We heard about North County Pavers from Angie's List.  Ronnie Hemphill, who is the owner and designer of North County Pavers, came out and gave us some ideas and a free estimate.  While we did interview other providers, there was something special about Ronnie Hemphill of North County Pavers that made us confident he was the type of person we could enjoy doing business with.  He provided us with a list of locations where he had done driveways.  After visiting these sites, and because we really were impressed with what we saw, we decided to hire North County Pavers.  They also had very fair pricing.
A few days later Ronnie met us at Orco Pavers to look at the various types of pavers there were.  (We had no idea there were so many options.)  He had us take some samples home so we could "live" with them for awhile to make sure we made the right choice.  He came to our house again to show us the layout of the pavers and he drew the plan for our driveway.  Without increasing the cost, he felt it would look better to smooth out some of the angles too and we agreed.  
When the project was ready to commence, a porta-potty was delivered to the site.  The project started on Monday, October 26th.  The workers are all employees of North County Pavers.  They started nice and early and worked long hard hours.  The driveway demolition took less than 2 days and each day they carted away the debris.  The men dug trenches on each side of the driveway to install root barriers.  Had we not done root barriers, the cost would have been even less.   (NOTE: We requested root barriers because the concrete slabs of our old driveway had been pushed up by at least an inch due to the roots growing under the driveway.  We felt this created a safety hazard.  This was the prime reason we needed to put in a new driveway.)  The men also cut and got rid of all the roots that had grown under the driveway.  The driveway was leveled.  I believe that the BobCat helped to move some of the dirt in order to aid in the perfect leveling.  After the necessary foundations were laid the pavers were carefully laid.  Once that was done, the sand that goes between every paver was added and the driveway was sealed.  We were told we should not drive on it for 12 hours, which was very easy to comply with.  At each step of the paver laying, we were awed at how magnificent the driveway looked.  
Because the weather cooperated, our project, which started on Monday, October 26th was completed by Friday, October 30th.
Ronnie showed up every single day to check on how the project was going and was always very attentive whenever we would call him with questions.  In addition, the workers were all excellent and very pleasant to deal with as well.  We were never inconvenienced.  If there were a rating higher than an A, I would certainly give it to North County Pavers and Ronnie Hemphill.
One more wonderful thing to add about the awareness of the employees of North County Pavers, when they were doing the clean up and had to use a blower they went to my next door neighbor's home because their garage door was partially open.  The men asked them if they would like to close their garage door so no sand, dust or dirt would get into their garage while the men did their clean up.  Needless to say, our neighbors were most appreciative (and they did close their garage door all the way).

North County Pavers were fantastic!  My neighbor recommended them and her patio is fabulous.  Ronnie was enthusiastic and responsive.  His entire crew was great and  very helpful - they always showed up on schedule.    I couldn't be happier with the results and the workmanship.  I wish I had known I was going to do pavers before  having my home painted 6 months prior - because the dust of the demo was pretty messy.   I was also getting a new fence and if I had it to over, I would probably  have my new fence installed first. 
But I absolutely love the pavers!!!   All of Ronnie's recommendations look great and were done just as we discussed.  Ronnie suggested a boarder around the edge and it looks so nice. It was a very positive experience all around!!!

This is an excellent company to work with. Everyone is  professional and customer service oriented. The cost of the new patio was competitive with other contractors that we looked at and the work was excellent. Ronnie answered all my questions and returned my phone calls in a timely manner. The work crew arrived on time and cleaned up after work  each day. The crew did an excellent job in spite of the high summer  temperatures that week.  I was surprised how detail oriented they were.The patio looks great. It is exactly what we wanted. I would definitely recommend this company.
