Every aspect of the work was botched and redone at least once, and the schedule has taken over 3 months for what was to be 3 weeks of work. The fence was installed directly on top of existing sprinkler heads. I had to complain to get the heads moved clear of the fence and functional. It was amazing that this happened as the sprinklers went off in the middle of the day...while they were doing layout! The dining room lights were installed in the wrong locations and all had to be moved. The guy cut up my wall between each stud bay in the hallway to run a wire. After trying to fix the wall 3 times I finally had to have my painter sand, re-texture and repaint the wall. The living room has sloped ceilings and i was guaranteed that the lights would point down. The pitch was too great for his fixture so I had to find fixtures that would work and they were more than twice as expensive as budgeted. Bathroom drywall was a mess and the desk is worse. Not enough letters to finish.
In response to Provider response. The statements are not true. I have been in construction for over 25 years and never been to court or had to be deposed. I have never experienced anything like it before or since! Gene tried to bill me several thousand dollars above the contract amount, and hadn't completed the contract work satisfactorily. That is why we went to court. The court awarded Gene the contract amount nothing more, which is what I had offered him 5 months before and he wouldn't accept.
Stay away from this Guy!!!!
"Yes the original of this work on the fence and in the member's desk area was poorly executed. We had a worker on the job who did a very, very poor job. This was a trusted employee who ran into substance abuse problems. We subsequently released this employee. Gene went back to personally correct the work with apologies to the customer. After all was completed there was an outstanding balance due on the bill. This customer refused to pay. We took this customer to small claims court seeking his payment for the job completed. The court awarded us the fees based on completion of the work."
