They did a beautiful job. He also power washed my shower and suggested suggested a soap to use to not get buildup on the walls and tiles. He was extremely pleasant and professional. He even showed up a little early. I would highly recommend them.

Very easy to schedule for an estimate appointment. Quick & clear on the work entailed. Wrote a detailed work order with clear pricing.
Easy to approved online & schedule an appointment for the work.
Arrived on time & completed the work in a quick & efficient manner.
Got stains in grout removed. Asked me to inspect that stage of work before sealing.
Pointed to issues in the grout that could not be cleaned (a couple of old divots.)
Nice job caulking the back splash in the kitchen.
Sealing was very quick.
Gave me some final guidelines on drying time.
All very efficient.

Regrouped and sealed kitchen tiles. Cleaned and sealed kitchen floor. Efren was fabulous, and the owner was a sweetie, too, adjusting their schedules to meet my needs. I would hire them again in a heartbeat.

They couldn't do quite what we wanted, but what impressed me was that they were so honest and informative about what they could and could not do.  At that, the tile came out looking much, much better than I would have thought.

It all went very well.  The crew of one arrived on time and then walked us thru the entire work order to make sure all the worked that needed to be done was documented on the work sheet and that we all understood the process.  The tile in the bathroom shower was re-grouted and then sealed.  The same for the tile floor in the master bath and guest which was cleaned and sealed.  There was no mess as everything was meticulously done and cleaned up.  The kitchen floor tiles were then re-grouted and sealed.  The grout that was used was very expensive and we were able to keep the can to do any future maintenance.  When we got the estimate Charles explained to us that because of the way the floor was installed the grout could break apart again but the grout he would be using had more flexibility and be less likely to break apart and that since we were paying for the can we would be keeping it and could use it again it need be.

The Grout Doctor of Oakland they were great, they were very good.  My experience was very good.  I felt like they came right away to give me an estimate and then they just came when they said they were going to do, the guys that came were very professional. The work came out great.  There was one thing that I needed to re-do or added and customer service was really good.

I had a very positive experience with The Grout Doctor and will be calling them for all my future grouting needs.
The owner, Charles Pellicci, did the estimate. He was punctual, amiable, and detail-oriented. I liked him. I
thought well also of Noe, who did the actual work. He performed five tasks in our
home. Two of these were re-caulking of showers, one marble, the other ceramic
tile. Both of these looked great afterward, the work being very neatly done. We
were especially pleased because the previous grouter had apparently applied
sealant to her work so Charles and Noe weren?t sure how successful they could
be at removing the old stuff. I appreciated their candor and their success.
Noe also re-caulked our tub. Charles had directed him to use clear silicone because the tub shifted around
quite a bit. This seemed very practical to me and showed attention to detail.
One task was done as a favor and at no charge, for it wasn?t something they do: Noe applied a little silicone to a
sliding door in our bedroo. I?d had a housing inspector go through the house
and he said that the old silicone was in bad shape and storm water was leaking
through. I washed out the track and gave it 48 hours to dry. It looks good and secure now.
The biggest job was our kitchen sink and surround. Noe was to strip and clean the ceramic-tile counter top,
re-touch the grouting with as close a match as possible to the back splash
section?which he would be leaving alone per our request--, and then to re-caulk
the porcelain sink. Noe asked for my input at one point because, when he opened
the can of grout stain, he thought that the color specified by Charles looked
too white for the counter after all. He recommended another color that happened
to be on his truck; it was almost a perfect match. I was very impressed with
his handling of the situation. Everything looked great when he was done.
To my amazement, Noe accomplished all the tasks within a couple hours. He then gave very clear instructions as to
when we could resume using each space, since it varied according to the type of caulk used.
We had one little hiccup, but it only impressed upon me further that Charles is a good man to work with, and that
he has gathered good workers around him. One of the two showers developed
little holes in the grout. I called Charles about it, leaving a message. He
responded within an hour or two. I wasn?t home, but he directed me in his
message to email him. He was clearly concerned and eager to know details. Along
with my email I sent a photograph. He replied that he?d seen that before and it
was generally caused by moisture behind the tiles. I maintained that that
shower had stayed unused for far longer than we?d been instructed. Charles was
consistently responsive and respectful. He never implied that I wasn?t telling
the truth. He was swift to have one of his people--another amiable,
professional guy--come out and redo the work at no charge. The second time was the charm.

The tile grout looks very good.  Unfortunately the tile itself has been cleaned too many times by our tenants with bleach products and has lost it shine.  That is not the fault of the Grout Doctor though.  The silicon caulk looks great.  The shower doors are much much better than before he started.  However there is still a small amount of calcium which shows.  The glass doesn't have that new look which is what I was hoping for.  Brendan did warn me that it might not look new again because of the buildup of calcium over the last 10 months.  I think he did the best he could and it is certainly quite acceptable looking.

Owner came out to give me an estimate.  I had hoped they could strip out and replace the old tile grout (it's about 40 years old) however the owner indicated that it was not possible due to the potential for damaging the tile.  He suggested the alternative of cleaning and sealing; the price was right so we scheduled it for later in the week.  The tech showed up on time, worked efficiently, protected the hardwood flooring and adjacent surfaces, and did a super job.  We're very pleased with the results.

He was marvelous. They were punctual, very professional, and he really knew his stuff. He was more of an artist than a grout guy and everything looks brand new.

Charles, the owner, came to do the estimate. He was professional, very courteous, efficient, and inspired confidence. The estimate was much lower than what I received from another company. The two employees who came to do the work were polite and punctual and went over the work order with me, but when I came back later, after they had left, I was a little disappointed. Parts of the tile, stone, and grout were not quite as clean as I had hoped. The caulk colors they used were lighter than I expected (didn't really match the existing caulk well), and it looked like some caulk was accidentally rubbed onto a bathroom counter (the counter tile was clean, but I could see spots on the existing grout where it looked stained by the lighter-colored caulk). None of these things was too bad, and I'm sure they would have followed up if I had asked them to address these things. I decided they weren't a big deal, though. I would use them again, though next time, I think I would stay here to check on the work as they're doing it.

Overall, I had a reasonably positive experience. Charles, proprietor, did the estimate. He was clearly knowledgeable and experienced in the business. I told him what I needed and he provided me with a reasonable job scope for my needs and a reasonable estimate. He listened to what I said and tailored the job accordingly. He had to schedule the job almost a month out. The employee who performed the initial work, was punctual and polite. However, I was not completely satisfied with the work. I had to point out some spots that he had missed and give him some direction on one or two points. After he left I identified some areas with which I was not satisfied. I called them back and they did send someone else out to redo the caulk around the sink and repair a missed spot. I was much more satisfied with the second worker's skills. He seemed more experienced and meticulous. Ultimately, I have been very satisfied with the work that was done.
