Reyes Tree Service & Gardening

We had a large tree that we needed to have removed. A previous owner planted the tree very close to the front of the house and the roots were destroying our brick patio and threatening our foundation. I contacted three tree services for a bid. Since their bid was more thorough and very reasonable (i.e., they offered more than the others for about the same amount), we selected Reyes Tree Service. We are absolutely thrilled with the results. Juan, who runs the company, is very easy to work with. He was incredibly helpful throughout the process. Their work was timely, they are exceptionally neat and they cleaned everything before leaving. And, we ended up with extra mulch for our garden! When they were done, Juan helped find someone to repair our brick patio as well. We were worried about this project for a long time since the tree was so close to the house but there were no problems and we?re extremely pleased with the outcome. I can absolutely recommend Juan and his company without any reservations whatsoever. We couldn't be happier with their work!

We originally contacted Juan to remove trees from our back yard as we were redoing the pool and landscaping. They came out and the work was done two days from the time we contacted them. They had indicated it would take two days but they finished in one. We were so happy with their work and professionalism that when we did the landscaping we called them instead of using the contractor that did our hardscape and pool because we had so many problems with them. Juan came out, removed the trees in the front, suggested the plants and then did the front and back yard. We hadn't talked about the path to the gate, but when we got home he had included it in the landscaping and it looked terrific. He also replanted some plants into pots for us. HIghy recommend them for any type of work.

I called the service on both Friday and Monday, trying to arrange a visit to get an estimate, or at least send in some pictures for a basic estimate. I got voicemail every time and have yet to have someone return my call.

Mr. Reyes, the owner, was highly professional, courteous and knowledgeable about landscaping, irrigation and tree work. He spent a lot of time with my husband and me and left us with an excellent impression about the quality of work that we would get. We liked him and felt that we could work with him very well. He submitted a written proposal by email several days later that laid out all of the services that we discussed. His pricing seemed fair. Some of the services were simply an hourly rate with the estimated number of hours for the specific job. Ultimately, we decided to use another provider predominantly because we do not prefer to pay based on time and materials; we prefer fixed quotes per job because the provider is sharing the risk with us and has a vested interest in doing it right the first time. If you are considering changing your current provider or need special work done in landscaping or tree maintenance, we definitely recommend interviewing Reyes Tree Service.

My two tall palm trees are right on the property line, so Reyes Tree Service went into my neighbor's backyard (I had previously arranged for this with my neighbor) and moved their BBQ, a table and several chairs so that debris from trimming the tall palm trees would not damage anything in their backyard. They did a great job trimming and cleaned up all the debri, including what fell in my neighbor's back yard. Once done, they moved my neighbor's BBQ, table and chairs back. Juan Reyes was punctual about showing up on the agreed upon date/time to provide an estimate and when once hired, his crew showed up exactly on time. There is no reason to use any other tree service.

I contacted Mr. Reyes several times to ask that he come and give me an estimate on the removal of two birch trees. After about a week we finally connected and it was agreed that he would come out the next day between 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. I gave him my address and he said that I lived really close to him. By 3:00 p.m. he still had not shown up nor did he give me a courtesy call letting me know that he was running late or needed to reschedule. I noticed that this had happened to a few others that had left review on this site. I do not look kindly to those who do not keep their word especially since I am just as busy as the next person. I work all week so I only have the weekends to do everything else so my time is very valuable.

Mr Reyes showed up for the estimate on time and provided a very competitive quote including a discount for Angie's List customers. He understood immediately what I needed. His crew arrived on time and finished at the time he quoted. They were nice, courteous, and did a great job cleaning up after cutting down two very large trees. I will definitely use his services again!

called for service, told that someone would come by after 2:00, no one ever showed up or called. total lack of professionalism. should be taken off Angie's list.

The estimate was too high for my budget to clean up the front part of my house.

He never called. I called him. He promised the next week... No call No show.. I called him again. he promised the next week.. No Call , No Show you can see how this went! Very Unprofessional. I am an Estate Manager and would never use him again.

I called Juan based on the reviews and he did not dissapoint me. He showed up when he said he would, gave me a good price. His men showed up on time, did all of the trimming and then I asked them to do additional trimming on other trees that I had, and Juan gave me a good price, so i did it. They finished and cleaned up the yard like they were not there, and they were very helpful and attentive to my needs. I definitely plan to use them again.

They were awesome. Not only did Juan pick up my call on a holiday, but he was able to work within my limited time availability and get here within 24 hours! The guys did a very professional job and cleaned up the area afterwards. They were done in an hour.

Great experience, very professional. I will definitely call Juan again when we're ready for a planned major landscaping project in the next year or so.

Actual cost matched Juan's (owner) estimate. Quality of service was outstanding, everything looks fantastic. Juan and his team were professional, friendly, and most of all listened to all of our requests and met every one of them the first time. I didn't have to remind them or manage them at all. The team that worked on our property were very knowledgable and excellent at what they do. Very happy, would highly recommend them and will definitely use again in the future!

I sent a message via Angie's list for removal of a large tree. The next day Juan responded he would be happy to see my tree. I provided an address and never heard from him again. I guess he has a lot of work.

Juan came out and walked through the project and provided an estimate in a timely fashion. Followed up to see if we had any questions. We scheduled a date and time for the work to be performed and Juan's team showed up and completed work as planned and desired. Remained within budget / estimate.

When I was writing the description of what the provider did, it almost made me laugh, it sounds so little. Let me give you a little more detail about what "Removed Morning Glory from backyard" means. The lemon tree that was removed was a full-sized tree (15 ft or so), but you could not see it. The Morning Glory had completely covered it. This stuff is horrendous!! It's a huge job to remove it, and the research that I did told me that if it was not removed appropriately, you could make the problem worse. We got quotes from 5 or 6 contractors. Juan was not the cheapest, but he seemed the most familiar with Morning Glory and I trusted that he knew what to do to get rid of it - not that one visit could do that, but to get rid of it to the extent that we could have the best chance to eradicate it in the future. Juan returned my calls during the estimate phase, worked with us on the price and scheduled the work in a timely manner (within a week). His crew showed up this morning. The foreman listened carefully to my husband describe the job and they got to work. These guys worked hard! HUGE amounts of vegetation were removed. The crew (there were 6 of them) were all courteous and professional. Juan called me about the same time his crew arrived, and he showed up a little later, and was back and forth throughout the day, but whether he was there or not, these guys were busy. By the end of the day, the transformation was incredible. I had forgotten how big our yard was. The Morning Glory is gone, and Juan has provided us with solid educated advice as to how to keep it that way. They worked from 8:30 till after 5, and they are based 30 miles or more away, so it was a long day. We absolutely could not be happier with how it went, and by the end of the day we had already negotiated a follow-up visit for some more tree work that we need done, and to clean up our front yard. My husband and I are both work in corporate America in managerial roles, and we know what it takes to lead. I have to tell you, Juan is an excellent manager, and his great attitude and consideration towards his crew shows in their work. It was a pleasure to deal with such a professional. Juan worked alongside the crew as they finished the job, sweeping up and cleaning the pool. If Juan Reyes is the only contractor that we hire through reading Angie's list reviews, our subscription would still have paid for itself. We are happy customers.

Juan came to my house and gave a very reasonalbe estimate prior to the date of service. I had 3 other estimates. His rates and level of professionalism surpassed the others. He and his crew arrived right on time and worked hard all day long. They removed many plants, shrubs, and trees. They trimmed and cleaned up what was left. Juan also allowed me to add some additional work on the day of service. The next time I need landscaping service I will definitely call Juan Reyes. Thank you so much!!!

It went great. Juan's men were on time and courteous and worked hard and quickly. They cleaned up perfectly when they were done and were interested in whether or not I was satisfied. (I was). Juan stopped by to check the job and make sure all was going well. . This is the second time we have used Juan (last time he removed a stand of bamboo that was deep in the ground and we have had no regrowth on that site since the removal, as Juan promised) and we would not hesitate to use him again. He is courteous and personable and takes real pride in his work.

On the day agreed upon, he and his crew showed up and worked hard all day. Juan and his crew were polite and professional. All the work we agreed upon was done very well and the crew cleaned up everything and took care of the property. Juan also gave us good suggestions on other aspects of our property, including trees and fences. Juan is very knowledgeable about trees, their care, placement and removal.

He was very professional and competent. He was easy to reach. He was good at problem solving and offering different e alternatives.

We needed brush clearance done quickly to meet fire department requirements. Juan Reyes answered our call, fit us in on short notice, showed up on time with a crew, completed all the work we requested and left leaving the area clean and clear. The cost was $575 after the 10% discount for Angie's list members. I believe there was a crew of 5-6 and they worked for 2-3 hours. I was very impressed with Juan and his crew and would be happy to recommend him for residential brush clearance.

The estimate was a little higher than I anticipated, but I didn't see any issue with using this service.

Very pleasant. Said he would get back to me in a few days with an estimate. After a week and now communication, I contacted him and he said he would work on it over the week-end. That was two weeks ago. As another reviewer mentioned, to bad he didn't follow through. He probably would have gotten the job.
