Reyes Tree Service & Gardening

All went well. Used JR for several years now. One tree is dying, not sure if it was the prunning or a gopher eating the roots. Will check with JR and I am sure I will get a reasonable response.

Juan and his wife came over on Sunday morning to assess the situation and gave me a quote with 20% discount as a member of Angie's list. His crew came during a weekday and completed the job while I was at work. They trimmed the branches and clear the ground. The quality of work is excellent and I did not have to be there while they performed the job.

Juan and his team did an outstanding job on my backyard. I needed several trees significantly trimmed in an effort to get more sunlight into my backyard and grow grass. I hired Reyes Tree Service to trim the trees (there were several and they were very tall and overgrown), update my sprinkler system (add some sprinklers, switch over to low pressure pop-up sprinklers) and lay down sod. I can't speak highly enough about my experience with Juan and his team. Communication was easy and seamless. They showed up when they said they were going to, did the work I asked as described in his bid, cleaned up beautifully after themselves and even went above and beyond the call of duty with some little surprises. For example, there were some old pavers laying near my back gate. When they left, they laid the pavers out to create a nice walkway from my back gate into my yard. I was very impressed with Juan and his entire team of guys. They were totally professional, friendly, got the job done and did it all for a very reasonable price. I will definitely hire Reyes Tree Service again in the future.

I was in desperate need for a tree service company because my neighbor has been complaining that my tree is growing into their property and close to damaging their roof. I have been postponing this notice for the longest so I just wanted to get it over with and trim my tree down. I called many companies but none were able to accommodate with me on a set date until I called Reyes Tree Service. I left them a message and two hours later I received a call back. Juan came by to give me an estimate and told me he could get started on the job right away. The price he quoted me was a bit too high for me, but like I said; I just wanted to get it over with. Juan assured me he would be able to trim the tree down to the trunk and be very careful with the neighbor?s roof. I decided to hire him since he was the only person who could do the job right away and already gave me the estimated quote. The following day, Juan and his crew arrived at 8am at my home and got straight to work. The whole job probably took them around 3 hours which I thought was really quick. Best of all, the neighbors roof was untouched just how Juan said it would be. The crew cleaned up after themselves and even went as far as cleaning the neighbor?s roof. I am glad Juan gave me a call back because thanks to him, I have my nagging neighbor off my back now. Thanks you guys!

The crew showed up right on time. They did a very nice job of removing the offending branches. All the branches and mess were cleaned up nice and neat. The tree looks great and the house is no longer threatened. I was very satisfied with the work.

After a rough start getting together over email, we switched to the phone and everything progressed well. I was very impressed with his knowledge and professionalism and absolutely delighted with the crew who did the actual work. They obviously had worked together for quite a while as they were very efficient, worked very hard and independently of each other. When they left each evening, everything was picked up, put away and cleaned up. They made me a very happy camper!

Juan came out to the house multiple times to go through the initial bid. He was punctual and provided suggestions on what needed to be done. The job took about a week and his crew worked diligently. I would defiitely hire again.

Got Juan's service last weekend. Left message and he called me back after 7 that evening (he does return his calls). Arranged for an estimate and he arrived exactly when he said he would. He was not the cheapest estimate, but his demeanor and equipment looked professional and he didn't try to upsell me. Arranged to have a huge palm tree removed from beside the house. His climber arrived early that morning (15 mins before 8) already in his climbing gear, ready to go. He went to work immediately and by1100 he had cut down an 85 foot palm tree ... by himself! That's 7 stories tall!! When the rest of the crew arrived that morning, I noticed all the equipment was newer and his guys knew how to use it. But what impressed me was that his guys were very professional. For example, one of his workers got on the roof to blow the debris off. When finished, he stayed up there until he asked his foreman if anything else needed to be done. The foreman pointed out he missed cleaning a gutter (he paid attention) and the guy blew it out. It wasn't without problems. The large stump grinder he had broke and he drove off and brought another one in an hour or so. Again, no muss, no fuss, just get it done attitude. Juan also removed several larger plants and ground down the stumps on two other trees, all for a very reasonable price. When he left at the end of the day, the yard was clean and all debris removed. If you need this service, call him. His price was well worth the value of the service!

Same as above. It went well. He was professional, friendly, in arriving on time and giving estimate; and crew did the actual work. Owner inspected after the work was completed.

Excellent work with follow up I didn't realize how much property I had until Juan Reyes and his crew of professionals cleared out my hillside and trimmed all the trees. The property looks beautiful now and is ready for landscaping. I will definitely be calling Reyes Tree service again.

His work is good. I don't have any complaints with his work, but I did have additional work to be done - however, he kept cancelling my appointment. I called him 3-4 times, and every single time, the appointment was cancelled or he didn't call back. That was disappointing

Excellent professional work. Reliable and hard-working with attention to detail. This is a trustworthy business. The crew are polite, friendly and very hard-working. They arrived promptly and worked solidly, safely and effectively for 8 hours. They cleaned up completely and washed down the yard before leaving. The owner, Juan, is knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with. Highly recommended. I am retaining them for regular maintenance now the major clean-up has been successfully completed.

The team did a good job in a short amount of time , on time, at a good price....

We called on Monday and they were able to come on Tuesday morning (New Years Eve) to provide an estimate. Juan sent back a team later in the day and the service was wonderful.. They were quick, clean and everything looks great. They were extremely nice an the service was great. We will use them again in the future. The price was reasonable as well. We had another estimate on the same job and they wanted twice as much!! Excellent company!!

Reyes was one of three estimates we got. His estimate was not the lowest but I didn't feel comfortable with the first extimate; too low in price. The second company didn't seem interested and quoted a price which I considered was a message that he was not interested in the job possibly because it was not big enough. Although I had to wait till after the Thanksgiving holiday for the work to be done, they were on time (at the promised day and hour) and worked continuously until the work was done. Finally, the cleanup left no evidence of the amount of trimmings were cut. I definaitely recommend them to anyone and will use there services again.

All of the crew arrived as scheduled work quickly efficiently and completed the jobs as promised. Everything came out better than expected.

I called on Saturday Nov. 2 and left a detailed message. By late Monday I'd received no call back. So I called again. Got a live person who said he'd been out of town and just got back. OK, he hadn't gotten through all his messages I guess - understandable. We made an appointment for him to come and give an estimate on Tuesday Nov. 5 at 2 pm. He was a no show. Didn't call that day, or in the 9 days since. I figure that if I make two calls to reach a provider and set an appointment for which he's a no-show and a no-call, he's not somebody I should do business with, as much as I need competent tree service. I called him because he was highly rated, has all the license/insurance/bond stuff, and he probably can do good work. But it seems that not showing up and not calling to explain or apologize or reschedule is his weakness. And really, who needs to wait around for a no-show? So far, two of the three Angie's A-listers have been no-shows, but the second no-show (2 hours late) at least called a minute ago with a good explanation and rescheduled. At this point I consider myself lucky if anyone actually shows up just to give an estimate. In fairness, this guy and some others might be the only one in their business handling the calls, making appointments, giving estimates, arranging the workers, getting the work done, in other words dealing with everything. It can be overwhelming, so maybe if they're that busy they need somebody to run the office end of things. That's why I'm giving him D's instead of F's.

Excellent experience. Mr Reyes was prompt, knowledgeable and fair in setting the estimate. Written estimate; no advance payment requested. Date was set for our and neighbor's convenience and crew was on time, professional, bilingual and we believe quite skilled. Mr Reyes was on site a good part of the time but the crew did not really need supervision. Shaping and thinning of magnolia very well done; second tree cut back appropriately. Clean up 100% thorough; total job time less than we would have expected. More than one neighbor came by to discuss their tree service needs with Mr Reyes and I know he has already completed a job next door.

He did not show up or call to notify me he would not be coming. I had made plans around this appointment so it was a very annoying no-show. I guess business must be too good to be courteous to all potential customers.

On all jobs, Mr. Reyes and crew far exceeded our expectations. Mr. Reyes is extremely knowledgable and responsive to his customer's needs. The landscape is beautiful and was completely designed by Mr. Reyes. His prices are competitive and fair. He's a true professional. We've already inquired about future jobs. His team is very respectful and the quality of the work is superb. If you are looking for best, look no further.

I used them for my clean-up hill project earlier this year. They did fantastic job with very reasonable price and there was no hesitation from me to contact Juan again with these projects. Juan answers the phone and email very promptly so setting up appointment is very easy and no hassle. They needed 2 days to finish all. The crew communicated with me time to time to make sure they were doing as I like. The outcome of the new raised garden was so wonderful that I couldn't wait to start planting. They cleaned the area after each day of work so that there was no mess to deal with after they left.

His men were here five weeks. From the first week, he said he would come and introduce me to his men, tell them what they should do, etc. He never came after he gave me the estimate. He set appointments to come, but did not show up. The water problems were not fixed. Some areas were so over watered they were dying. Some areas were so dry they were dying. He did not feed the plants which he said he would do. His men were not knowledgeable. (example): I asked them to trim a bush because a rose bush was growing through it. The bush was not trimmed to a nice shape and two small trees (which started up from seedlings) were left growing through the bush, etc.

I had several large trees that were in desperate need of trimming. I felt the price he quoted for all the work that needed to be done was very reasonable. While working on one of the large trees Juan found a bee hive inside a hollowed out branch. Sensing that I was to busy to search for a bee removal expert (I was also in the middle of remodeling my kitchen and had a lot going on that day) he gave me a referral for a guy he had used before. I really appreciated the fact that he provided me with a bee removal expert that he knew could get rid of the hive within a few hours so that his crew could still finish the job that day. His crew was very courteous and did an excellent job trimming the trees and cleaning up afterwards.

I highly recommend Reyes Tree Services, Inc. Juan Reyes? estimate for removal of my 97-year-old mother's huge, dead pine tree was prompt and highly competitive, and his crew was ready to do the job two working days after my approval. Their skill backing their big truck and chipper up the narrow hillside street was very impressive, and they managed to get the whole tree down in a single day, returning next morning to grind down the stump. They cleaned up the work area, including the neighbor?s gated driveway, so that it looked as if there had never been a decaying, termite-ridden tree there. I intend to hire the Reyes team again for future projects.
