I have used this company before and always had found them to be responsible. This time as a single woman I felt I was definitely being taken advantage of. Buyers Beware! When I authorized the work that needed to be done by phone, I had no idea that $300 was so unreasonable nor did I know how long it would take to complete the job. I had a 85 year old mother at home with no heat. When I returned home, the invoice had no breakdown of the charges, just the total charge. I called to get more info and was told that she didn't have the breakdown and to call back in a week. I said I wanted to call the technician, and only THEN she said she would get back to me which she did. My mother's caretaker told me that the technician was here 20 minutes, but really fixed it in 10 minutes. Repeated trips to the car etc. LABOR CHARGE WAS $150 for less than 20 minutes of work. The part was also marked up from $88 (online price) to $145. When I explained I felt this to be unreasonable, the response was "I'm sorry you feel this way." After spending over $3,000 for previous work with this company, I would have thought I deserved better treatment. Oh, and I had a coupon for 20% off labor charges for VIP customers!

I have to say this company has an extremely persuasive and responsive sales representative, Michael. I was debating between Around the Clock and another heating and AC company. And although the other company had a guarantee written into their contract, Michael persuaded me that they had higher quality service and better product and I think they probably do. The other company contracts out their work to smaller companies so the rep that comes to your door and gives you an estimate is not the same company that puts in the product. So, I bought a foreclosure and the date on the closing was delayed 2 weeks and every day I wasn't sure when I would close, Michael was very good about staying in touch to see when they could start work. The were able to start the first week I moved in and finished in 3.5 days or so, very efficient and clean. Except for maybe a few shavings here and there. The workers were courteous and the head of the team was great. He had rebate sheets for us. However, after about a month, we began to use the A/C more and noticed that one of the new ducts was not working in one of our bedrooms, which we use as an office. We were sweltering and we spend a lot of time there. We called in October or November and they came out a week later. Looked around and didn't do much, said we should close vents in rooms that we don't use much and try to drag the air into the office. Didn't work. Now we were freezing and a month after that called back and said we need the problem fixed. We set a time at 4PM on a thursday, 5PM rolls around and nobody shows up. I got off from work early to be there to open the door. Nobody calls to tell me. I call customer service and they said they were backed up and were apologetic. They come out two weeks later and put in a new duct. Everything's better in the office, but the duct in one of the bathrooms and the kitchen still doesn't work very well, but they're not as noticeable.

He was punctual and had a thermostat in his car. He then showed me how to use it. The entire process took less than an hour and I felt like I got my money's worth.

We are trying to market our house, so wanted a couple of known issues addressed. Their tech arrived on time, did a thorough job checking all heater functions, then went up into attic and quickly pinpointed and reattached loose ducts. We explained everything he had done very thoroughly.

This company gave me good recommendations and gave me a zone effective system. They gave me a good price. It only took 2 days for the installation. They have a good warranty and they care for the systems for life at no additional cost except for repairs.

Bob Gage the salesman came to the house early to give us an estimate the next day after I called. He took a look around at our unit outside and gave us the estimate for a unit that would match the heat pump outside which was a Goodman. I was thinking of getting a Lennox which I understand is a better unit and got an estimate for $4200, but the work couldn't be done until after the new year because of what they had in stock. He told us that the work could be done on Christmas morning if we went with the Goodman unit. I called back after getting 3 other estimates which ranged from $3250 to $11,000. I decided to go with Around The Clock because we needed heat ASAP, they offered to work on Christmas, and had a great review on Angie's. On Christmas, 3 or 4 (not sure) workers arrived on time in the morning and worked for what I would guess was about 6 hours taking out the old unit and putting in the new one. They took time to tarp all the walkways where they were working and didn't leave any trace that they were even there. A supervisor came by and overlooked the work maybe 3 hours into the job. The guys that did the work didn't speak much English (but the supervisor did), but were nice and courteous. A day later, I wasn't satisfied with the performance of the unit, so they sent over the supervisor from the day before and he came and made the adjustment to the unit and it work perfectly. Apparently the standard fan setting didn't provide the heat I was looking for, so the adjustment was made which took maybe about an hour. All in all the price was good in all the comparisons I had made, the workers were polite and professional, installed it on Christmas morning! They came and made adjustments as requested, there was no mess, and the estimate was right on with no hidden charges or surprises.

They removed the old equipment and installed 2 new furnaces, one for upstairs and one for downstairs, and a new a/c unit. They installed new ducting and new registers. The crew was very professional. They got the job done quickly and we have been very pleased with the systems.

I received bids from several companies. The bid from this company was very competitive and they had a good track record for performance. They presented me various system configurations and answered all of my pre-contract questions, got the permit and started the work on time. The company owner turned up at the beginning of the job and went through the details with me. The workers arrived on time, were respectful and professional. I told them I'd rather get the job done well than get it done in a hurry. They agreed. The job finished on time at the agreed price. They also included a maintenance contract to cover the first few years. So far ( 3 weeks), so good.

Got more for the same money as others. They took care of everything. No stress experience.

Did a good job. The location of the unit was not where I thought they were going to put it, but it worked out well.

I have 3 systems in my house. I was unhappy with the performance of one and needed regular maintenance done on all 3. Al came out to inspect the units and told me that two units were installed improperly (one being the unit that was not working well). I asked for a quote for him to address the issues. He said he'd have something in a few days. He called a week later to tell me he was still researching. Two weeks after that he called to say he had the parts to do the maintenance but still had no bid or suggestion on how to get the one poorly performing unit working. When I pressed him that I needed to get this unit working, he had no idea how to proceed. Completely wasted 3-4 weeks.

They came back to my house with a part for my air conditioner a day after they looked at it. My heat and everything works fine. We are very happy with the service.

They came out promptly and they did very good work. Their prices seemed fairly reasonable and they did good work. They stuck to their original quote and I would highly recommend them.

The initial estimate was performed on time and explained very professionally. I had 3 estimates before this company and once the guy was here, he was willing to work with my budget as well as suggest the right equipment. The entire job took 3 days and every day the crew showed up on time and worked diligently to make sure the everything is done properly and neatly. I have a 1400 SF house which needed all new ductwork and removal of an old floor furnace. The job was performed exceptionally well and my house was left super clean. Everything was tested and worked properly. The company even sent me thank you cookies for my business. Super nice, professional and knowledgeable crew. Thank you and I will definitely refer them more business.

They were prompt and they were neat and tidy about their work. Their price was better than what I expected. They were reasonable compared to other estimates that I got and I think they did good work.

This was actually for my Mom. I was on the phone with her and she was telling me she had another company come out to look at her furnace and that it would cost her over $3000 for a new one. I asked her the name of the company and jumped on Angie's List to check them out. Turns out what they told her was what another person was complaining about and they had a bad grade. I sent her a list of suggest companies to call and Around the Clock was at the top of the list. Turns out, she had had them there that same day fixing her stove, but did not know they did heaters too. Around the Clock was out the next week and they told her they could fix her furnace, but for 1,000 more she could just get a new one. She got a new one and is very happy with the service and the lower price. I just wished they serviced Hawthorne so that I could use them too.

They had to install all the ductwork as well. Our house is very old so the heating systems had to be brought up to date. It went extremely well overall. They showed up on time, and cleaned up after themselves awesomely. I had a lot of questions and they answered them to my satisfaction.

I called the day before and they were here the next day. They came on time and did a very good job. The man that came was very professional. I would highly recommend them to others. They honored an Angie's List discount.

The technician came over on time and within 10 min diagnosed a blown fuse. He promptly replaced it. Service was honest, correct and quick.

This rental house has two HVAC units. Neither was working. We set a time window 2 hours from the time I called. Got a call from the repair person an hour and a half later saying that they would be there in half an hour, which they were. Changed filter, which fixed one of the systems, then replaced part on the other system (on roof). Whole thing took about half an hour.

The guys arrived on time, scheduled the job promptly, completed the job as promised, with no muss, no fuss. They honored the Angie's List coupon, and I am happy with the service and equipment.

I got three estimates from heating and ac companies, but I decided to hire Around the Clock. Unlike the salesmen from the other companies, the Around the Clock salesman (Bob) was very respectful of my need to stay on a budget. He didn't try to sell me things that I didn't really need. He was very knowledgeable and no-nonsense. I also felt comfortable with him and didn't feel the least bit pressured. I did research online of the appliances I was buying to make sure they were good quality as Bob claimed. I was very happy to find I was buying very good appliances at a fair price. The pieces were very energy efficient and the ac uses the new environmentally friendly coolant. My purchase also included a 1 year maintenance contract. So they will come out twice this year, before heating season and before ac season to clean and tune-up the appliances. The workmen showed up right on time. They were very respectful of my home. They cleaned up everything when they were done, I wouldn't have even known they were here working all day! I love my new furnace and air conditioner! It's so quiet and the ac is more comfortable. It doesn't have that freezing chill that my old one did.

They gave me a detailed estimate, discussed high end/medium end/low end options in detail. Arrived on time, were neat, efficient and finished on time.

I initially made an appointment with Around the Clock Heating and A/C for an estimate of repairs of my malfunctioning central heating and A/C unit. Igor arrived right on time, checked out the unit and proceeded to describe the pros and cons of fixing my unit. His assessment of the situation was consistent with one of a company I had called previously, and he spent a good amount of time explaining the condition of the unit, and answering all my questions to my complete satisfaction. I was still unsure as to whether I wanted to repair the existing unit or install a new one, so I requested an estimate for purchase and installation of a new unit. Within twenty four hours, Al had called me with an estimate that was the most economical of three companies with which I consulted, as well as being comparable in quality of product and length of warranty for parts for the package unit (installed on the roof) that my house requires. Al even extended the warranty on one part when I requested it. My successive phone calls were returned promptly, questions were answered and the contract was emailed to me upon my request. I decided to hire Around the Clock and I was not disappointed. On the day of the installation, they arrived on time and were efficient and neat workers who quickly prepared the roof for the installation of the new unit. Al arrived and installed the new thermostat and answered any remaining questions that I had. At 11:30, the crane required for the installation arrived to remove the old unit and install the new. Because of the narrowness of my street, the crane had to be positioned in front of my neighbors' house and the units were actually lifted over my neighbors' house! Around the Clock workers had anticipated this and had asked my neighbors' permission earlier in the morning. I was impressed by their courtesy and forethought in this matter. The new unit was installed and was working soon after the crane departed; the whole operation took a half day. I am very satisfied with my new air conditioner. As if this weren't enough, the company mailed me a letter of appreciation and a thoughtful gift, thanking me for my business.

This is a company I'd use again, solely because they were honest and nice on the phone. Christine went out of her way to help me understand what they could/couldn't do for my situation, and actually referred me elsewhere for a contractor that could better help me. That just doesn't happen to me often enough, and I'm always grateful for being treated well by someone I may be doing business within the future.
