I called in the late morning to see if they could come after work, which they did. Igor was extremely impressive with his knowledge and professionalism. He explained everything that needed to be done and why. He finished the repair quickly, and explained to us what might be needed in the future. The Air Conditioner is working perfectly and we are extremely happy with this Company. Would definitely refer them and use them again! Very pleased!

I called and received an appointment for the same day. The service tech came out and was finished well before the scheduled window of time. He was very knowledgeable, efficient, polite and did not try to upsell. Very pleasant and professional. I would be happy to hire him again. The professional answering the phone was rather brusque and off-putting. I nearly hung up and called another company but based on the reviews decided to give them a try. I am grateful I did. Perhaps she's just having a bad day or is overworked.

We needed our a/c checked as we were concerned it had lost refrigerant. The Around the Clock appointment was easy to schedule, the repairman was on time, reliable, honest, professional, and thorough. Turns out we really did not need freon. We will definitely use this company again. The repairman explained things and reviewed each step...we actually learned something! Thank you Angie's List.

Overall it went well. The dispatcher made a suggestion to check the breaker before coming out so as to avoid an unnecessary visit, so I appreciated that.

The technician was friendly, worked quickly, and was very informative as to the nature of the central air-conditioning unit's problem, which was a low amount of refrigeration coolant, which he proceeded to replace. He worked very quickly from original diagnosis to completion of the necessary work.

They are wonderful. Everything was explained and taken care of. They were friendly, thorough, accomodating and kept to the proposal amount. They came back without charge when the weather warmed to check and service the unit and will be coming back to do the same in the fall at no charge. I am very pleased and would recommend them highly.

The man came out to give us an estimate, and was quite persistent with the follow up phone calls- at first we didn't appreciate that, but then after checking this list, thought we'd give them a shot. Glad we did. 'Al' came out and took the measurments of the house, nice man, and the workers arrived the following work. They did a great job, cleaned up well, and so far (day one) the new a.c. works wonderfully. I don' t know if Angies has a 'one year later follow up report', but as of now- the work done was great!

At the very beginning, at the level of getting a bid, their salesman was assertive and persuasive. Not exactly a "hard sell," and definitely well within the parameters of professionalism, but know that these guys want your business. They will work to accommodate your needs, but they will stay very much on message and cover a lot of ground during sales calls. Unsure about what exactly it would take to cool our conservation-challenging San Gabriel Valley "1950s Architectural," we were given a wide choice of systems. Ultimately, although it would be a bit of a financial nail-biter, we went with the most efficient and top-of-the-line equipment. Around The Clock made the package of various rebates and local, state and federal incentives very clear and worked to bring the price down. (Once all rebates and incentives are accounted for, we will have saved about $2,500 off the price listed above). The actual work went great. While not every member of the crew could be meaningfully communicated with, this was fine because both the office and the crew foreman were attentive and helpful. The work lasted about three days. Cleanup was very decent. The system works like magic and the installation was very high quality. We have had no problems in nearly three months of operation. We had the permit pulled and the work sailed through with our city inspector without a hitch. In short, there are good reasons why this company has so many A's.

Appointment making went fine. I was told that the cost for the service call would be $95.00....was that all right with me? I said yes, and then we set up the date/time. They called and confirmed the time with me the afternoon before. The appointment had a THREE hour window...from 2PM to 5PM. Now, when there is a window, I think they are going to show up sometime during those three hours. Is that unreasonable? They didn't. No show. No call. Sorry, but I think this is really inconsiderate, thoughtless, and disrespectful to the customer. I was already upset, because the SAME THING happened 2 weeks ago with another company for a two hour window.. So, I've got 5 hours of just WAITING for service people..no one shows up, or calls, and I am not happy. I did not want them to come later than 5PM, so I called the company, asked what was going on, and was told "they were running late". ??? Why couldn't they call and tell me that???? I told them coming later would not work for me. (I have evening classes.) They asked "Do you want to reschedule? I was angry and said NO. They asked - Well, what do you want to do then? And I told them just to forget it, and said I would not be calling them again.

Igor was our technician. Great guy. Very knowledgeable, and explained clearly everything that was involved. I felt that he wasn't trying to sell me a whole lot of things that I didn't need. I appreciate that.

I called Around-the-Clock after seeing more than the usual number of positive reports on Angie's List - I've formerly used a one-man shop for this maintenance, but for various reasons wanted to go with a larger company that also installs HVAC systems. The phone operator scheduled the service on a day that was convenient to me, with a 2-hour window. Oleg arrived 10 minutes into the scheduled time, and immediately learned that we had a 2-zone system (one unit for upstairs, a second for downstairs). It turned out that I'd been quoted a price that covered only one system, and that (well, duh) they would have to charge more (I don't recall being asked whether we had more than one HVAC unit). He called the central office before beginning work, and asked me to speak with the manager there - she explained the miscommunication to me, and it frankly made perfect sense that the charge would be increased (servicing two systems takes more time and materials than servicing one). Anyhow, Oleg proceeded after I agreed on the price. He was willing to use the ladder I provided to access the attic - he had one on the truck, but I keep a folding ladder handy - and inspected both furnace & a/c units. He also pointed out an installation flaw that should be fixed, and explained to me how newer systems are installed to minimize damage from such things as condensation line leaks. He emphasized that he was only pointing these things out, not that he was pressuring me to buy a new system. I appreciate hearing about current code requirements - even though bringing something up to code can be expensive - at least I know what to budget for. On inspecting the A/C units outside, he found that the Freon level was low in each, and added material to bring up pressure, testing to see if it was effective by taking before-and-after temperature measurements at several ceiling ducts. I'd never seen this done before - he uses an instant-read thermometer that integrates a laser - he simply pointed the laser at the duct, and the temperature reading appeared on a hand-held gauge. Very cool. He achieved at least a 5-degree drop in output air temperature. Oleg also removed, hosed out, and replaced the electrostatic filters in both air returns. The work order/invoice I signed indicates that I have one more visit coming; Oleg assured me I'd receive a phone call in 6 months to schedule a furnace inspection and service. Other details - Oleg wore a polo shirt with the company logo, was clean and neat, and really tried to help me with the ladder (I insisted on setting it up, because I'm familiar with it - apparently he's not accustomed to women who know how to use (ahem) tools. Overall, I was very pleased with the service.

The air conditioning unit stopped working during a heat wave in May. I called Around the Clock and they had someone come out the same day. He had to order parts and they arrived two days later. The technician arrived at the specified time (the company gives a 2 hours window as opposed to the typical 4 hours). He explained the problem thoroughly, was fast, efficient. He showed me the broken disconnect box. This is who I would call if I had another problem.

Called them based on seeing an advertisement. They came out and gave and provided an estimate in a timely fashion. The estimate was what we expected and the representative was professional and seemed knowledgeable. He suggested a 2 zone system. The work was done on time and within budget; however, the installers indicated that the existing duct system would not support a 2 zone system and while they could make the necessary alterations it would be substantial additional expense. He suggested we use the system as is for awhaile and if we felt we wanted to add the 2 zone system to give them a call. We have been very satisfied with heating and cooling system and appreciated the honest advice as opposed to selling us something we may not have needed. As a result we later signed up for their annual maintenance service and have been very satisfied with the company ever since.

Igor came for the heating and he was great. He fixed it quick. He had a Russian accent. He came on the same day to fix my heating system. For the other service I went through their email system and it took a while for them to get back to me. He didn't communicate very well and he didn't tell me what was going on. He kept me in the dark. He wanted me to remove something around my air conditioner and he cleaned it off and said that was all that he could do. He charged me $95 and I did half of the work. I thought the first charge was reasonable, but the second charge was too much. All he did was hose down the condenser and he couldn't get the thing off that was protecting it and I had to help. My grades are based on the service that was performed on my heating system.

The technician showed up 15 minutes into the four hour window. He diagnosed the problem quickly and was professional and courteous.

Received bid from Michael who was extremely friendly and helpful in choosing the appropriate unit. Scheduled the installation and all work was completed when promised. Workers were polite and cleaned up after the work was completed.

They were very prompt to come out and fix the grill. They were very quick and they did a good job. They checked out the air conditioner and nailed it in so that it wouldn't fall out and fall off of my roof.

They were professional and timely. We were extremely pleased.

I was so put off by the representative that I have decided against using this company. I'm a first-time homeowner and not familiar with the intricacies of installing a central air system. Hence, I called the pro's and asked to explore the options. When I asked the representative if I could install a traditional system with floor vents, he asked, "Where would the venting go?" My house is tiny, so the answer isn't obvious. Still, being as HE is the professional and HE was preparing the estimate, shouldn't HE have been answering that question for me?! I felt challenged and spoken down to. When I suggested exposed venting for a modern look, he ridiculed me. "Maybe it doesn't go well with the house," I offered. "Thank you for saying that," he chided condescendingly. I'm sorry this review reads like a dime novel, but I was truly offended by the representation and will not be patronizing this business. I'm sure they do an excellent job and I imagine their prices are fair, but their rep just had too much 'tude for me.

Michael was extremely knowledgeable and professional. Made recommendations based on square footage and our needs. Didn't try to sell most expensive furnace and recommended what would be most cost effective. Also spells out the various rebates you get and they copy and complete most of the forms for you. The workers had somewhat limited english skills and at first seemed unclear on the details of the installation. But ended up doing good work. No problems so far with the system. We haven't used the A/C yet but the heat is great.

It went very well. The company was responsive and the representative took the time to explain what was needed. The heater was installed on time for the estimate. I would highly recommend this company.

The technician arrived on time. He unscrewed the two screws holding the cover of the heater and removed the cover to examine the heater. He never told me what the gas company meant by saying it was not venting properly or even examined the areas which could be causing them not to vent properly but seemed more concerned in selling me a new wall heating system for $1400 which I declined. He put the heater back cover back but did not screw them on very well. They were loose and I had to screw them back on. He also ruined the paint above the heater which I have to fix now. The technician seemed like he was in hurry to find another fish to catch rather than fix my problem.

Working with this company was excellent. The workers were friendly and helpful and very reliable.

The technician came a little early (before the 11-1 window), which was great. He diagnosed and fixed it in under 20 minutes or so. He said it didn't need a new ignition thingie but he just needed to flip a few switches inside -- he explained it to me but I'm not very mechanical.... So I was expecting it to be between $225-$500 and it only cost me $65. Which shows me that the technician knew what he was doing and was honest, because I was expecting a pricier job. It's true he wasn't here long -- someone else complained that the technician didn't spend much time for the cost involved -- but I assume that is because the technician knew what he was doing so could fix it quickly. My only caveat is that I need to see if the heater is still working in a month, and if not, what happens then, but if anything changes I will log back in to angie's list to update.
