(1) Scheduling was difficult. I was told materials would be ordered within 3 days (it was 1-1/2 weeks), I was told work could begin with 2 weeks (it was 3 weeks) and I was told work would take 3 days (it was 5 days). This made it difficult to schedule other renovation contractors. (2) [Person in office] did not want me to call her on the phone and told me to communicate via email only, which slowed communication. (3) There are 2 areas with minor rippling in the laminate. It's not too noticeable, but prevents me from recommending them to a friend because it is sub-par work. (4) Worker left paint splatters all over my refrigerator, sliding glass doors, bathroom sink, and bathroom floor. Other that all of the above, my experience was good/average. Kind of a high price for the quality of work. Not good enough to recommend to a friend, but acceptable.

Horrible. The person that came to my home was on time, but when she schedule appointment with me and husband to come to their showroom she forgot the appointment. Once we’re at the showroom which is 50 miles from my home one way, she promise to get us an estimate. Which it took her 7 days to get to us. We called her 3 weeks ago to discuss estimates to this date she has not return calls. So we’re going with another company.

Where to begin? Every phase of my project was excellent! I guess I can start at the beginning but leaving the best for last: First, Alex came by to measure the counter top area in the kitchen. High tech stuff and the quartz top fit perfectly when installed! They installed my sink, faucet, disposal, and dishwasher. Then, Vlad painted the entire inside of the house with 7 colors used throughout the house! Perfect trim work! Next, Merab and Vlad put up the oak window trim and did perfect sealing work around the wall and trim. The downstairs bathroom needed ceiling work done and Vlad more than met the challenge. Merab and Vlad cut the interior and exterior oak doors, stained them, and were put up in the new door frames. A hall fan was adjusted to the correct spacing. Special cuts of wood were made and stained throughout the house. The upstairs bathroom was done so beautifully with new mirror, toilet, shower doors and floor tile. Vlad did most of the work of this project and you would be lucky to have him working on your house project. Viktar the foreman is the one who brought all of these wonderful craft persons together to create the magic. Anastasiya is the project manager from heaven. Her attention to detail is extraordinary and was vital to the success of this project. Finally, none of this would have happened if it wasn’t for Rob Rathbun, the Senior Design Consultant of America’s Dream Home Works. It was because of him that this project happened at all. He listened carefully to what I wanted to do room by room. Then he would tell me what would and what wouldn’t work within the budget or structurally. Rob is a godsend! He is the perfect first representative to meet from this wonderful, professional, company. Top notch artists of their crafts, and the paper side of the company is right there with them. I cannot say enough about all the people at ADHW. Alex, Vlad, Merab, Viktar, Anastasiya, and of course, Rob! You won’t be disappointed! I am a very tough customer to please and they’ve earned a 10 out of 5 rating! I wish I could write more to tell all what a pleasure it was to work with America’s Dream Home Works! Thank you so much! Make sure you ask for Rob to be completely satisfied with the first representative you meet of this wonderful company!

Thank you to America's Dream Homeworks for truly making our "fixer-upper" house our forever dream home! The work that ADH did on our house was nothing short of a miracle in my eyes. We purchased a run down fixer-upper 4 years ago with plans of making it beautiful because, as they say, "Location. Location. Location". I had a vision in my head of what I wanted and ADH completely made that vision a reality. The crew was PHENOMENAL. I have heard horror stories of some contractors going M.I.A. midway through a project. Vasyl and his crew drove every day from Sacramento to Marin to work on our house (at least a 90 minute drive one-way) for almost 5 months! Their work ethic is amazing. Their attention to detail is incredible. When they started tearing apart our house they found so much water damage and termite damage and years and years of neglect from the previous owners that they basically had to reframe most of it. They even found a previous addition had not even been properly "connected" to the original house! But nothing phased them and they never made us feel like fixing our house was insurmountable. The tile work and the molding detail is beautiful. I cannot recommend Vasyl and his crew more for their impeccable work. They are amazing. You will not be disappointed. The ONLY issue we had was when they did find all the damage and reframing that needed to be done, the additional cost was not communicated to us up front. I definitely would have appreciated being kept in the loop about this because unfortunately, when we originally met with Mark (owner), he had specifically said that they were not like other contractors that come back to you asking for more money half-way through the project. So I had that in my head and was thinking this up until they dropped another bill on us. That would not deter me from using ADH again, however, because I used to LOATHE our fixer-upper and now I LOVE my dream home. Megan PS...The reason I give "Responsiveness" a B is because I had to contact them multiple times prior to get the initial bid. Also, one of my husband's coworkers was also trying to contact them recently to come out for a bid and never received a response after multiple attempts.

We had the pleasure of working with America's Dream HomeWorks for our master bathroom remodel earlier this year and couldn't be more pleased with both the process and the finished results. The process started with Larry coming out to provide a quote. I had nine, yes NINE, different companies come out to quote the project. Larry was by far and away the kindest, most honest and enthusiastic of the companies that quoted. He didn't promise to do things that weren't possible, he provided ideas on how to keep costs affordable. He spent something like two hours drafting a vision for the bathroom and then providing a detailed quote - something no other company did. Larry's passion about his company is obvious and admirable. On to the actual project, Julie was our point person for things like payment and project dates. When we delayed the start of our project, they easily adjusted for us. Demo was a breeze and the gentleman who did the majority of the labor was named Eugene. Our son still talks about "Eugene" and how awesome he was - he thought Eugene was a total super hero. I've never seen a man work so hard in my life! He was incredibly sweet and very efficient. (This man deserves a raise, ADH! lol) Every detail was taken care of perfectly. And the entire bathroom was done far more quickly than I imagined possible. It's so hard to find a company that you can trust AND that does quality work. We cannot wait to work with America's Dream HomeWorks again on our kitchen!

We worked with Patrick Monahan and the initial meeting and review of what they could do for us went fine. It was when we tried to understand the pricing that the service declined significantly. From the beginning we communicated that we already had selected much of the material and would provide it for them to install. That was acceptable to them. Patrick gave us a quote that was higher than we expected and when we asked for details on the pricing between labor and materials we were unable to get a clear understanding of their pricing. I asked if I did the demolition if that would reduce the cost and was told it would. We asked for a revised quote with us doing the demo and the price that came back was the same as the original quote. Patrick then offered to meet with us and provide a detailed break down of the quote and he stated that their prices had just reduced across the board and he could provide us a better price. When we met he talked through a hand written breakdown that he had in front of him, he did not provide us a copy to review and follow. At the end the price was still the same as is first quote three weeks earlier. We spent a lot of time getting nowhere and are now back to square one finding a contractor to do our remodel. Worst experience I have had with a contractor. If I can't trust a contractor to be clear and truthful with me in the proposal process there is no way I will trust them doing the work!
Response from America's Dream HomeWorks

"Our designer met with [Member Name Removed] twice in-home for a consultation and had many phone calls and email conversations back and forth. The customer chose to provide his own materials and chose all materials (from a third party) which are all discontinued (to get the cheapest materials) and wanted a quote on labor only (even though we typically don't do labor only). After multiple phone conversations and emails, it appears the scope of work increased, therefore the quote our designer provided was higher at the very end. However, our designer went over the breakdown of pricing in home very thoroughly, and the pricing was very transparent. This customer's expectations are way outside of what he was expecting as he said he found some "guy" for 12k. We don't operate as a typical contractor who gives a customer a bid to install the product they have purchased. Contractors generally don't provide design services or the materials. At ADH we provide the added services of designing the bathroom and procuring the materials for the customer, in addition to installing it all. Having been in the construction business for over 18 years, we have good idea of cost but know that there are many unknowns on any job. We may not be the least expensive option you will find, but you know the price will not be more than what we've quoted. With an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau, a 20,000 sq. Ft grand showroom, and an A grade on Angie's List and other review sites, we may be more qualified than other providers. Because remodeling jobs are daunting, we find that most people are happy to have us handle everything from start to finish. We would encourage everyone to check for any outstanding complaints with the BBB and the California State Licensing board prior to working with any contractor or company. You should also ask for proof of insurance before choosing someone to work in your home. [Member Name Removed], we are sorry you feel disappointed and wish you all the best on your project."

I’ll confess, I never really got to work with this company. I put in an inquiry to have someone come out and assess my job(s) and give me an estimate. When the company called me back (within 24 hours), I described the project over the phone. I was basically trying to have a room the size or a large bathroom remodeled into a workspace. Upon hearing this description, the lady on the phone told me they were not interested as the job was too small. I informed her that there were other things in my home that needed work as well including a bathroom remodel, new deck, and replacement of all the windows and doors. Depending on estimates for these services I might want to do more than just the work room remodel. She still told me my job was too small. So I’d only pursue this company’s business if you have a major project in mind. They wouldn’t even come out and take a look.

Response to my bringing up a problem with the faucet installation: Hello Tamara. I am sorry to hear that you experienced issues with your faucet and you feel upset. We have performed all of our obligations under the terms of the legally binding contract and had substantially completed all areas of it. The issues you are bringing forward are unreasonable and unforeseen. You chose to contact a third party plumber, and we cannot and will not reimburse any of their work. We installed a countertop and faucet that you purchased, signed off on and the installation was professional and appropriate regardless of what a third party plumber may be telling you. All components were installed to be symmetrical. We have done everything we can, and went above and beyond to accommodate you and help you. In fact, Brandie was helping you for a month going back and forth with your project ideas. We have all communication documented. Everything was performed in accordance to the legal contract you have signed (you ended up going with Silestone not Cambria) and no reimbursements will be made as there has been no wrongdoing on our end or any unnecessary charges. Any kind of dispute arising from this will be forwarded to our lawyer and you will be working with them if such a case is brought forth. I am sorry but we will not pay for your water filtering system, what you are asking for is completely out of the ordinary and we are not legally responsible for your own purchases and do not owe you any reimbursements. As far as reviews, we are proud of our reputation as our reviews speak for us. We will directly respond to your review mentioning your name, revealing all your project details, and sharing pictures of what we installed. I am sure you have a Yelp page yourself and would not appreciate someone bad mouthing you when in fact you have gone above and beyond the industry's norms. Again, I am sorry you feel this way but hope you can understand. If you have any other questions or concerns, let me know. -- Best wishes, Igor [Name Removed] Sales & Marketing Manager America's Dream HomeWorks, Inc. 7115 Watt Ave, Suite 100 North Highlands, CA 95660 [Phone Number Removed] Office: (916) 701-8999 Toll-Free: 1 (855) 697-3663 Email: [Link Removed] Web: [*** Link removed ***]

"Here is [Member Name Removed]'s original email. Her countertops were installed professionally and according to the contract. We went above and beyond to accommodate her. We had to switch the sales consultant as she didn't "like" the first one. Even though our consultant communicated with her for 1-2 months helping her with project design ideas. After signing off on the installation, months later she contacted a third party plumber asking us for reimbursement for her own personal purchases. In case anyone wants to read it: Hello Tanya, this is [Member Name Removed] I replaced the faucet and sprayer because it functioned awkwardly. I didn't call American dream home works because I thought it was because I picked an inappropriate faucet design for my space. I had a new faucet put in last week. The plumber from JR Putman found a couple of problems in the [Member Information Removed] the faucet and sprayer I bought from ADH was installed. 1. I am right handed. The sprayer was installed on the left side of the faucet. The JR Putman plumber told me the function was awkward because the sprayer was on the wrong side of the faucet. 2. The sprayer hole was 25cm from the faucet hole. According to the JR Putman plumber. The sprayer should have only been a few inches from the faucet, not roughly 10 inches. I am not a kitchen designer, countertop installer, or plumber. No [Member Information Removed] I could have figured out how far the sprayer should be from the faucet and the correct placement of a sprayer for a right handed customer. I trusted ADH to know these things and install correctly. I ended up with a choice of an irreparable, unsightly hole in my quartz countertop, or installation of something to fill the hole. In addition I was charged for plumbing modification to fit the faucet set up and sink. I feel the modification may not have been necessary if the faucet/ sprayer was installed correctly. I chose to install a lower end triple stage water filter and drinking water faucet matching the new main faucet to fill the whole left by American Dream Homework's incorrect faucet/sprayer installation. The materials are good, but I've had problems from Brandie's not listening to me and pushing Cambria on me, to her not telling me the cancel order wasn't received, to all of the installation problems. This is totally inconsistent with the positive Yelp and Angie's List posts, and I am very disappointed. I recycled the faucet. I want to be reimbursed for: 1. the plumbing modification charges I paid ADH to make the sink and faucet fit. 2. The trip fees for the two plumbers needed to re-install the faucet, and install the water filter to fill the incorrectly placed hole in the quartz. 3. The cost of the water filtering system. You can contact me by my cell, [Member Information Removed]. Call to make arrangements for payment. After our response (which she posted here) she responded: I have not left an internet review for ADH, and I am not going to leave a negative review. ****** got the job for the bathroom countertops, and cabinets, a larger project, instead. The process has been much easier, and I am much happier with the end results. I think using ADH's biggest competitor in the area for the largest part of the bathroom & kitchen project, and recommending them is a better course of action. Cheers."

We had recently renovated our old house due to flooding, so with our new house we knew what to expect in terms of pricing and timing. We explored a number of options for this renovation, i.e. subcontracting the baths and kitchen separately, hiring a separate demo crew. We interviewed no less than 15 separate entities and ultimately went with ADH for 3 reasons: 1. ADH’s estimate was in line with many of the other contractors, however their estimate included the kitchen and bath cabinets and countertops, while many of the others did not include any materials. ADH’s estimate was detailed and well thought out. 2. Vlad K, our liaison with ADH, was easy to get a hold of either by email or phone. A number of the other contractors I interviewed were hard to track down or had inconsistent communication. ADH seemed to genuinely want my business, and did not act as if they were doing me a favor. 3. ADH can do everything from electrical, architectural, plumbing, etc. Some of the other contractors did not have all the trade specialties which in my experience meant delays and added expense. We are beyond thrilled with the results. We constantly recommend ADH to friends and neighbors, and will not hesitate to use them again for our next big project.

We moved to California a few years ago, and were a little in the dark on who to go to when we purchased our home. Our realtor recommended America's Dream HomeWorks (ADH) for our project, and we could not be more pleased with the work. They really took the reigns and completed an amazing project for us. ADH was prompt, organized, and a pleasure to work with. Our home was originally built in the 1930's and had minimal renovations over the years. The ADH team helped us create a beautiful design that opened up the floor plan, and completely remodeled the house based on our life style. Vlad and Peter were the lead contractors on our job, and we loved having them at the house every day. We were actually very sad when they were finished because it meant they wouldn't be a part of our day to day life. The finished product is BEAUTIFUL. Everything was completed to perfection. ADH made the home new, while keeping the charm of the house. The ADH team gave us great insights along the way. When we were stuck on a decision they guided us the right direction. I loved that Vlad would always include his input when we were making a design decision. His expertise and experience was invaluable in making the right calls. We found that the selection of finishes from the ADH partners excellent. We love the cabinetry, flooring, and counter tops. We were also really impressed with Peter's tile work. He created a beautiful backsplash behind our range. It was like watching an artist work when he was laying it out. Overall we could not be more pleased with our renovated home, and our time working with ADH. We would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for an excellent team to remodel their home and would use ADH on future projects.

They were really good. It's about what I expected. They were really good, I was very pleased with them. I would use them again if I had something to do. One thing that I particularly liked was right in the middle of scheduling a problem came up where I couldn't do the project when we originally planned. I had to put it off for about 5 weeks because of an emergency in the family. They were very kind and had no problem with doing it, and it was great.

"Hi [Member Name Removed], we are a full-service kitchen & bathroom remodeler. Kitchens, bathrooms, siding and windows are our specialty. As our Angie's List profile and website states, we do not do handyman work or small jobs. Occasionally we will provide HVAC service if it is an addon to a kitchen, bathroom, or siding project. Yes, we are a general contractor with many classifications, however, our primary focus is kitchens and bathrooms and as a business, we believe we have full rights to choose the types services we provide. We could not be happier with the excellent quality of work done through ADH. We had 2 bathrooms totally redone and an update of our kitchen. Even the city inspector was impressed with the workmanship. The lead worker was Yeugine who was especially hardworking and willing to please and is multi-talented in electrical, plumbing, drywall. The workers were all polite, trustworthy and cleaned up everyday. . They were willing to work with our time schedule which was important to us. You will not go wrong hiring this company. We are so pleased with both our bathrooms and our updated kitchen. They won’t leave you in the lurch, we had to call them back for a couple minor things to fix and they did it promptly and without hesitation.

Very well! Viktor was the primary worker on my new bathroom project. He did an excellent job and I am very happy with the final product. Viktor was very reliable and always showed up when he said he would. If he was going to be a few minutes late, he would always call. The entire project took about 4 weeks from demolition to final inspection. It would have probably been done in 3 weeks if the San Francisco Building Department inspectors had been available when they were needed for the inspections. Overall, I am very happy with America's Dream Home Works and I would definitely recommend their services!

Scheduled in-home consultation for estimate on window replacement and kitchen remodel. Got a call with a few hours notice requesting reschedule at earlier, inconvenient time. When I said I couldn't make it, they said they'd call back if they needed to schedule for another day. They never called, never showed, and never circled back. Maybe our little $50-60k job is small potatoes for them, but it's a big deal for us. Kind of hard to put your faith in a company that would blow off the very first meeting.
