Not well at all! The CSR couldn't find the address when she typed it into their system, and didn't offer a solution on finding it.

I have used them for years. They are wonderful people. When their technicians come in they brighten your house. They are always on time and call before they come. I just recently renewed my annual contract with them. I will continue to use them and recommend them. I have used them since 2015 and renewed each year.

Southland sent an experienced technician to troubleshoot within 24 hours. He showed us that both speeds were operating from a wall switch! All the attic fan needed was a new belt. They ordered the belt and returned to install it two days later; in addition, they lubricated the fan and secured the connections to the beams to reduce noise and vibration. Total cost $200. Qualified, honest, and reasonably priced. Highly recommended

We recently had Southland replace our old package unit with a new Ruud system and all new ductwork. Ray and his team were super professional from the initial bid to the end of the job... We got three bids, and Ray was by far the best. He educated us on elements of our system that no one else told us about, and even talked us out of buying the more expensive system because he thought it way more than we needed... he saved us $5000! Who does that??? The team was on time, courteous, neat, and got the job done quickly. The new system is great... we now have AC in rooms where we've never felt it before. Highly recommend Southland.

horrible. the HVAC was working perfectly before they came but has been not working well since the guy did whatever he did. in the past when i had these routine check ups done by other companies they just came over, got on the roof, did what they do, and tell me it's fine or it needs something. but this guy wanted to come in and mess with thermostat which seemed a little too high tech for him and didn't really even want to get on roof. i told him he had to to check unit. he finally did. but things have not worked well since. i called them, they sent out another person to get on roof and said unit was like new and it was fine. they wanted to send someone out to come in house with a 4 hour window. i said no because i was too busy at time to wait around. but now i will have to find time for them or another company to come out because it's going to be a HOT summer

I am primarily writing this review to relate how Southland Heating and Air responded when we discovered a problem. Once installed, our A/C worked well and we had no problems... around December, after we had been using our heater exclusively (no A/C), I decided to simply run the A/C to test it, blow it out and be sure everything was running well. What I discovered was a BAD smell with the A/C... which we presumed was the dreaded 'dirty sock' syndrome... Needless to say, we were horrified... particularly after spending a lot of money to have AC installed. WELL, I am happy to relate that Southland Heating and Air were VERY responsive, took the time to diagnose the problem and - we feel - went above and beyond to be sure we were satisfied. Ultimately - for whatever reason - our installed HVAC coil was contaminated. Following a few tries at lesser fixes, Southland simply replaced the coil and we were back up and running. Their service guys and technician were highly professional, always on time and truly worked to fix the problem. Since the coil replacement, we have had no problems and we are happy to report that our system runs like a charm. When you are spending a lot of money for this sort of upgrade you truly want to know that your install company stands by their products and work and won't leave you hanging out to dry if and when there is a problem. Southland took care of us and took care of business.

That worked out very well. He did very well. They've been working fine ever since. It's been about 6 months now. It all worked very well. I gave him the go ahead on September 19th. On the 26th, I received a courtesy followup from him, after it had been done. I had about 6 different contenders bid. Some of them were more than he was. One of them actually had a 10 year warranty on parts and labor. Southland was less in terms of the warranty. Their price was generally lower. I have subsequently seen offers for much less on Angie's List. I guess it was just the timing. So far everything has been great. No problems. They showed up right when they said they would. I'm planning to use them in the future. It turns out that the units they installed would soon be upgraded so they can respond to Amazon's voice controlled robot (Alexa). He said that these components will have Alexa capability in February. As soon as they are available, I will be contacting Southland again to come out and upgrade the air conditioning, so I can say to Alexa to turn the heat up or down and do it all by voice control. I have smart devices all throughout the house.

Badly - I wasted my time waiting around. The appointment time came and went. I called the company to find out if the technician was running late... left a message with their answering service. Never received a call back. No call, no cancellation, no show. This is probably a reflection of terrible customer service. I did receive a call on Monday where the "scheduler" (?) attempted to rehash my request for an estimate (asking me again what it was I wanted to do) and then proceeded to attempt to schedule yet another appointment without even acknowledging or apologizing for the no show.

I met with Southland's representative, John Mattson. He was very thorough with explanations and developing an estimate. We spoke a couple more times before I actually made the decision to go with Southland, the team showed up – led by Willy. All were extremely courteous, neat and respectful to my property. They even helped me to build a little enclosure for my new outdoor unit. They did an excellent job all around.

The installers were punctual and the installation was done timely and neatly.

Southland Heating and Air Conditioning promptly called us back and scheduled a diagnostic service call. Mike S. arrived right on time and immediately went to work checking out our air conditioning system. He found a circuit board that needed to be replaced, probably damaged by a power surge. Although Mike did not have a circuit board with him, he called a local supplier and found the replacement part. What really impressed us was when Mike rearranged his schedule to pick-up the part and returned in a few hours to complete the installation. Amazing service! Very ethical, professional, knowledgable...everything you would hope to find in a 5-star company! Will keep Southland Heating and Air Conditioning on speed-dial in case we have another emergency during a heat wave :)

Matthew Alba, owner, gave an estimate and explained clearly & professionally what was to be done. His work crew was professional & clean. The garden and house were left & clean.

The crew that came out to do the AC work or very professional they did a great job. They were right on time,and the whole installation was perfect. The asbestos removal company that they use was no good. They were going to charge me $700 without even looking into the Attic, without even looking at the job. I had already removed the asbestos pipe covering. Also the salesman said that they would set up the inspections for the city to come out and have the job inspected and signed off on. It has been 6 months and I have not heard back from them or receive any other Communications.

My AC unit started experiencing an intermittent problem after three and a half years of use. After some horrible experiences with other HVAC companies (read my other reviews for which companies NOT to use), it was Southland to the rescue. They scheduled an appointment for only two days later in the middle of a very busy season. The tech arrived promptly within the 4-hour arrival window and even called ahead of time to let me know he was on his way. He was easy to work with and had competent answers to all my questions as he diagnosed and fixed the problem. The final fee was very reasonable. I will definitely be calling Southland again, though hopefully it will only be for annual maintenance!

It went great. Southlands rep., John Mattson gave us a bid on a new AC unit. He explained what was wrong with the current system, offered us various options (all considerably less expensive than the competition) and even provided a short-term repair for free to tide us over, although we hadn't yet agreed to go with his company. I'm getting a bid from one more company, but I doubt I'll go with anybody else.

Ray from Southland supervised everything. He was very professional and explained everything in detail so I understood what was going on throughout the project. His crew is amazing, fast, punctual and very tidy. His prices are extremely fair and the equipment quality is top of the line. Everything was completed in one day and went super smooth. I've done a lot of projects for my house and I have to say this is the only one that went perfectly without even a hiccup. I highly recommend Southland Heating and Air.
