A part of my living room wall was damaged because of water leaks from the roof. Someone recommended that I contact "Hole in the Wall" drywall services company. I contacted them. They responded immediately with a site visit for a free inspection and estimate. They came on time and inspected the wall. They said that this was a painting job and not a drywall job. They said they don't provide painting services. But they referred me to another person Ricardo Freguso who does the job. I contacted Ricardo. He came and completed the job to my satisfaction and at very low cost. I was happy with "Hole in the Wall" for their responsiveness, punctuality and professionalism.

This went very well. Hole in the Wall was very accomodating to our schedule. They hung 5/8" drywall where the studs were spaced 24" and 1/2" where there was 16" spacing. They put 5/8" on the ceilings where ceilings were open. They cut around all the electrical receptacle and switch boxes and the plumbing pipes. We asked that no drywall be used which was manufactured in China (due to the contamination issues) and Doug assured us that he does not use Chinese-manufactured drywall. Doug handled scheduling the drywall screw inspection by the building inspector and met the inspector at the job site. After that they taped and spackled -- multiple layers -- and achieved an excellent Level 4 finish. For one ceiling that we were leaving intact they applied a skim coat to cover up the years-old sheetrock imperfections. The bathroom needed to have one wall left open to allow a clawfoot tub to be brought in. For no additional charge they left completion of that wall until later and then came in and hung those sheets and Gary taped and spackled them. We asked that some of the windows be boxed in (instead of using wood trim) and they did a very nice job boxing in the windows. There was a lot of drywall and spackle sanding dust on the floor, however that will occur with anyone performing a drywall installation. If your floors need protection then put down some protective covering like Ramboard. Hole in the Wall offered to put down Ramboard for a small additional charge, however we saved a few dollars and did that ourselves. My only disappointment was that some of the electrical boxes had a lot of spackle inside them, however that is probably a standard occurrence in the building industry. I just scraped it out with a screwdriver and vacuumed the boxes before completing the wiring.
Description of Work: Hang drywall on walls and some ceilings throughout house, including mold-resistance grade in bathroom and kitchen. Tape and spackle drywall. Apply and sand multiple coats of spackle to achieve Level 4 finish.
