Mike is punctual, organized, and extremely professional.  He showed up as scheduled, on-time, and was nothing but pleasant and polite in every respect.  His son was equally fastidious and hard-working.  Everything was cleaned up beautifully when they were done.  I am still to be contacted for duct testing and inspection.  I will update if needed, but I hope it all goes as smoothly as the install!

I felt comfortable with him at my home and just went about my business both inside and away from home while he worked.  And, I expect I will be even more comfortable in my home all year long with my new furnace and AC!  :)

How often do you get a very good price, combined with a
contractor that does exactly what they say they are going to do, and they start
and finish on time? That was my experience with Approved Air Conditioning and Heating
located in Vista, CA. My project was a lot of work and Mike Gentry could have
come up with any number of reasons why it was going to take longer. When I saw
him working routinely from 7:30 AM until 6:30 PM I knew he?d get it done. My
project entailed 2 furnaces, 2 A/C units, 2 electronic air cleaners, and 2 UV
lights?in 2 different locations in the house.
I interviewed 6 different vendors?many of them the big names
in San Diego County. Sales people of these companies would come and recommend
the equipment and you never got to meet the actual folks installing. I?ve
learned from handling numerous contractors in the past that you get better
workmanship from owner\operator contractors providing they have experience and
good client ratings. I always check out their truck?if there is no pride in how
they maintain their own equipment I avoid them. From the beginning it was
apparent Mike Gentry knew what he was talking about and did not try to oversell
me. He also didn?t nickel and dime me with changes?he routed an A/C discharge
line to the outside of my house where I could harvest the condensation water
for irrigation. Furthermore, Mike and his son Nathan cleaned up after
themselves as the work progressed. I felt totally confident leaving them alone
in my home. They also applied for approval as a YGrene Contractor (recommended
over Hero) so I could get a better interest rate. His son Nathan helped me
download the APP?s for control of the Honeywell 9000 thermostats on my I-Pad.
It?s sweet lying in bed in the AM and firing up both furnaces.
I highly recommend this company and I will not hesitate to
use them in the future.

I have not needed to run the furnace on a cold day so far, but it seems to be fine.

Approved Air Inc is wonderful.  Mike, the owner, came out to do the estimate and was very professional.  He explained everything in detail that needed to be done.  Shortly after the visit, he sent over a contract with the pricing and a description of the work to be completed.   My husband and I went with Approved Air because of Mike- he came across as an intelligent professional who would do a great job for a reasonable price.
We scheduled the work to be done a few months after the estimate.  Mike and his son showed up at 8 am the day the job started and stayed all day.  They showed up again on the second day at 8 am and completed the job.  I really liked how punctual he was - it showed that he took the job seriously and that he took pride in his company and it's reputation.  He told us upfront that the job would take 2 days and that is exactly how long it took.  Upon completion of the job all areas were cleaned up and my house looked as if nothing happened- awesome!!!
After the work was done we had an inspection and passed with flying colors. 
I would recommend this company to anyone- family, friends & neighbors. 

Ruben was great.  He arrived early (called and asked first), cleaned the condenser coil, checked out everything, and even went above and beyond to figure out a wiring anomaly.  He was polite and explained everything he was doing.  He was also honest and let me know that my a/c was in good condition and didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need.  I will definitely call them again if my a/c or heater need any servicing in the future.

From the minute I requested a quote, Mike was professional and punctual.  Price beat all others and his service was second to none.  Really impressed with the professionalism throughout the job.  Took his time to explain and educate. Would not hesitate to recommend his services for anything HVAC related.

Despite the fact there was a heat wave, I was able to get an appointment with Cool Air Solutions within a few days.   Travis arrived within the scheduled window and even called ahead to let me know he was on his way and gave an accurate ETA.   Prior to entering my home, he put on booties and though he had to go to his truck a few times, he always put them back on when coming back inside.   He diagnosed the problem in a very short amount of time, but was unable to make the repair as he did not have the part on hand.  He returned a day or two later and replaced the circuit board which had fried, as well as did a cleaning and maintenance on the system. I was extremely impressed with Travis!  He was very friendly, respectful  and professional!
  I was impressed with the company as a whole and ordered a maintenance package with them also.  In November, they called to schedule an appointment to have the furnace serviced in preparation for the winter.
I scheduled an appointment, requesting Travis once again, since he had been so great the first time.  Again, same great service!!    He did his job in a timely and efficient manner.   He also noticed a potential problem which he brought to my attention  and gave me a quote for a possible repair in the future.  Excellent company and customer service!! 

Mike showed up on time.  He and his son worked 10 hours straight to finish the job and left the work area immaculate.
He also took care of all of the necessary inspection details and paperwork that went with it.    We were very pleased with his service!

Mike installed 2 air conditioning units in my 2 story house.  He provided a detailed quote and was responsive when I asked questions or made suggestions.  He worked with me to locate the units in the best possible location to minimize their footprint in usable areas of my side yard.  He was very professional and explained all the steps as he proceeded.  He arranged for all the permits and title 24 duct testing and verification. The installation was done promptly in two days and the title 24 testing and city inspection was completed without a hitch.
I would definitely recommend Mike's company.

Mike was prompt and considerate. He communicated what was going to be done and when. He worked 10 hours per day for 4.5 days to get the job completed on schedule. He also removed two additional furnaces, from the attic, that were not removed by the contractors used by the previous owners. His work was well done and corrected many installation errors from the previous system.

Mike Gentry provided an estimate on Friday Mar 27th which was very reasonable in my opinion. The original estimate was 6,400 and I choose to upgrade to a higher efficiency Maytag AC unit and furnace for an additional 2,000 after doing research on the info Mike provided, Also a new vent pipe also had to  be ran through the tile roof to increase the diameter. Mike and his son Nathan showed up on time and completed the job exactly in the amount of time they estimated which was 12 hours. Mike is a perfectionist and his work shows this. Both him and his son worked their butts off and were very clean at all times while doing it. 
    Once completed Mike tested and measured the output of the AC and heater and explained how to operate the system. Since this replaced a 25 rear old system, I'm very happy with how quite it is and with the touchscreen thermostat they included in the price. Would highly recommend him to friends and family with no hesitation at all.
   I feel I paid a fair price and got my moneys worth. I had contacted four other companies and Mike was the first to respond and after meeting with him I didn't even bother with any other estimates.

Mike was awesome!  Not only did he schedule me incredibly quickly, but he also installed the unit quickly.  He fixed the whole plenum, and brought the entire system up to date, including installing a programmable thermostat.  We have a great heater now, and it's energy efficient.  All good reviews for this company!
