The job went very well from start to finish. After contacting Cosmos, Alex came out and quoted the job. He was great, very knowledgeable and provided great advice. After getting quote from 4 other companies I emailed Alex and asked that Cosmo preform the work. Cosmos was not the cheapest nor the most expensive, but Alex's professionalism sold me. They were able to get me on their schedule a week later. The crew chief Larry came right when he was supposed to and was very familiar with my style of roof. They got started right away, cleaned up everyday and overall did a fantastic job. I would recommend Cosmos Roofing to any one!

I initially got a bid from them as they?d done my neighbor?s roof and they were very happy with the job done.  I wanted a quality job but I was concerned about price.  Alex was good at explaining the options and what needed to be done as he prepared the estimate.
I was impressed by how businesslike they were, including a long list of local references.  Communication was good and the execution was great.  Their team really got the job done---quickly and well.  Also, the price was competitive, especially given the quality of their materials and workmanship. 
They were also careful about the landscaping and cleanup.  They even gave me plastic throws to cover the contents of the garage and attic, to minimize the mess. 
All in all, I?d give them an A+!
P.S.  I had a chance to talk with the city?s building inspector and he said Cosmos really is a quality outfit (and that not every roofer out there does quality work.) They know their business.

After receiving 4-5 various bids, my wife & I entrusted our 1922 home in San Mateo Park to Cosmos Roofing, and will be forever grateful that we did. Neither of us had been through a re-roofing, and our home had never been taken-down-to-the studs before, which had now become code. There were a number of layers to be removed which they did in one day. Jesus, who has been with Cosmos for 25+ years and who was our on-site manager, had a terrific crew (employees, not contractors!) that were extremely professional and polite. They worked late and showed-up exactly on time the next morning.
Everything went exactly as planned: 1) within 2% of the proposed budget; 2) done within the time frame agreed-upon prior to contract signing; 3) no major surprises after the work had commenced; 4) thorough clean-up by the workers.
Alex from Cosmos was extremely thorough prior to Cosmos being awarded the contract, was available during the entire work process, and had made great recommendations that fit our old home, keeping its 1922 charm. Hisdepth of knowledge regarding materials, types of roofing, as well as the venting of our 1200 square foot attic left us at ease. He always answered the phone whenever we had questions. I guess the final test of any home contractor is based on results: we didn't have one drop of water during the horrific storms of late November & early December,
2014.
The proof says it all and both my wife & I highly recommend Cosmos.

Everything went extremely well! We had a shake roof that would not have made it through another rainy season. Alex from Cosmos was up against about 4 other bids from companies that also had amazing yelp reviews. My parents used Cosmos for their roof in the past, and love their roof, but insisted I get bids from other companies just to make sure I do my due diligence as this is my first home. Cosmos was very competitive with the other companies, and in my opinion offered more in terms of service and coverage compared to the other companies. Most important was my main point of contact, Alex. He always answered the phone whenever I had questions, dropped off samples on the same day I requested them, and made me feel at ease.Cosmos offers all the same materials as the other companies, but it's the workmanship that counts the most. They do beautiful work, and I can't recommend them highly enough!

We got 4 bids to do the roof on our house and we chose Cosmos Roofing. The bid was reasonable compare to others with
comparable options. The communication with Alex was very good by phone and email before they started. The crew did an excellent job and completed the work within the expected time. They covered inside the garage and cleaned up the after finishing all the debris. I recommend Cosmos Roofing or at least consider getting a bid from them.

We had Cosmos install our roof for our old house and they did a fantastic job.  So when we got a new house I called them up for the new roof installation.  Alex was great as usual and helped set up not only a good time to get the roof done but also helped me find a good contractor to remove and re-install our pool solar heating panels.
The installation went smoothly and they even provided sheeting to protect items in our garage (the old roof was a type of concrete that was very messy to remove).  The only issue that came up was one of the gutters was damaged a bit during the roof removal but Alex sent someone out to fix it as soon as we found out.  Would definitely use them again.

My dad's roof was just replaced by Cosmos last week.  The roof that was replaced was actually done by Cosmos as well more than 25 years ago.  The pricing from Cosmos is slightly better than the other quote we got and it comes with a 20 year guarantee!  As far as I know, no other company offers the 20 year guarantee.  We are extremely pleased with the whole process (from obtaining the quote, to starting the job within 2 weeks, to the clean up about the work was completed).  Alex who came to the house to do the estimate responded to my emails and phone calls promptly.  My family will not hesitate to use Cosmos for all of our roofing needs again in the future.

Hired them to reroof a Menlo Park house that had two layers of original roof. The job site was kept very neat and clean throughout the job. They arrived right on time and had a large enough crew to finish on time. They kept me in the loop on extra work that was needed to repair termite damaged wood that they discovered. I am really happy that this was found. The final product looks great.  We also had new gutters and downspouts done and they took care to match the paint color with the downspouts, something I did not expect. I used Cosmos many years ago on our first house, and I can confirm that their quality is just as good, if not better than it was in the mid 80's. All the way around, a professional organization that I would recommend. And to top it off, pricing was very competitive.

We are very happy with our new cedar shake roof from Cosmos and would highly recommend getting a bid from them.  Their bid was competitive, and their workmanship outstanding.  Cosmos did exactly what they said they would do, on time and on budget.  Additionally, Alex, who came out to give the bid was very responsive via email and phone to all my questions.  His father managed the work at our house and was also very responsive.   All workers were professional and it seemed Alex really cared about the job quality. The only issue that they could have done a slightly better at was laying out plastic in our garage to catch the old roof debris and cleaning at the completion of the project.  It was a mess to remove the old wood shake but at our request, they gladly came back to clean up.    We are very happy with our beautiful new roof and gutter and overall we highly recommend Cosmos Roofing.

Cosmos was very easy to work with, from the quote to scheduling and roofing installation, they made it easy for us.    I received a few other quotes for the job and Cosmos provided the best value.   Alex, the co-owner answered all of my questions and made it clear what about the process and materials.   I really liked that he didn't try to up-sell me during the process.   They started to work on the day agreed upon.   They found a few issues, which I excepted, with the house and made repairs a very nominal costs.    The work went smoothly.   After the roof was installed the clean-up was good.   The new roof looks great.   I would definitely use Cosmos Roofing again.

Alex (co-owner) was quick to respond to my bid request. Was very accommodating when scheduling the initial inspection and bid. Explained all the options. We then exchanged a few emails, set a date to begin work. Alex called to make sure we were happy with the color when the shingles were started. All the installers were very professional. They did a good job of cleaning up. From my first phone call to job completion, the entire process took under 10 days.
