We carry most of the parts we repair/install in our extended size vans to ensure you are back up and running as soon as possible. We had been AC 911 clients since 1989, when the company was named Alpha Engineers, and then AC 911. For years we had a twice a year service contract and they were always friendly and responsive. It was the gross over charging for the items provided at the last service calls that shocked us. We were ignorant of the cost of AC parts and never observed their service men at work. This time we did follow them out and saw first hand the items installed. Checking the price of these on Amazon was easy, but their degree of over-pricing shocked us.

Great! He knew the system was old, but he didn't try to sell me a new system or tell me my current one was dangerous to use (which a previous vendor had done). And the cost for the maintenance service was less than the previous vendor! The amount I paid is for 2 visits per year. I won't have to pay the next time they come out.

They were professional, very knowledgeable and familiar with our condo complex which was important because we had a complicated problem where our air did not reach ½ of our unit.  They explained why and tried to solve the problem as best as possible but were also honest that it might be solved 100%.  Since I had already had four estimates I knew it might not be solved but I liked their honesty and how knowledgably they were with our units.

We've been using AC911 for years. Previously we had a swamp cooler and they performed regular maintenance on it and kept that old thing working well for years. Eventually we installed central heat and air, and AC911 performed routine checkups on that very quickly and efficiently.

The short version is that we've used ac911 before and kept the receipt handy because the price was so great and the service was so professional. We called them for a recent problem and they came the very next day and fixed the problem lickety-split. Their customer service is phenomenal including the techs and their switchboard. Oze, the owner, has shown a consistent care for us as customers and always wants to make sure that we are happy. We could not have been more appreciative of how well we were treated and will always use them in the future.

Price was in-line with industry norms and I appreciate that.  The guy was on time and was plenty likable.  However, I specifically asked for "Oz" and was willing to wait a good long time (about a week) for his service as my last service call with same symptom ended without a useable diagnosis and I wanted the boss this time.  I was calling again because I strongly believed I'd likely get a usable diagnosis through Oz.  That I didn't get Oz is ok.  That I made the request as a condition of scheduling it, got scheduled, waited a good long time as agreed, and then got someone else is not that ok.  They should have denied my request instead of telling me what I wanted to hear and then doing something else.  They also offer a 10% Angie's list discount and that's great. However, they had trouble with honoring that and cut it down to 5% instead.  I'm confident they didn't confuse it with the 5% senior discount as we talked about that and I'm not nearly old enough.  They just decided not to honor the full 10%.  That they don't provide that discount is ok, but again - offering it and not following through is not that ok.
The service received and the price was fine and would have gotten them an A.  Execution leaves something to be desired in terms of doing as they say they will do in two different respects in this particular instance.
The technician did go the extra mile in two respects.  He volunteered to replace a dual-run capacitor as he had the unit open and saw I had the right capacitor on hand and replacing it at that time is a good idea.  I appreciate that a lot.  I also saw as he was on his way out that the nuts for the bolts for the fan were sticking up out of the unit far in excess of the other unit and I mentioned it. The difference was distracting - not at all seamless.  He volunteered to cut them down if I had the right tool for that and I did.  So that ended well also.  If I could deal with them separately here, I'd give the technican an "A" and the office a "C" and split the difference with a "B" here.  Angie's define "B" as "Good".

They had to come twice as they forgot the first time to fix the isolation of the pipe. On the second time, they use the wrong isolation, resulting to unwrap within 2 weeks. I called and went through some unnecessary heated conversation, having to prove my case that if the new isolation was unwrapping it is not "normal"...

The services themselves were fine, but the company never called us back to schedule the second service.  Also, at the time of the first service, I did ask if they would follow up with us regarding their bi-annual maintenance contract, but no one ever did.  They could have had regular business from us!

Company did not call back within 48 hours.  Upset that Angie's List didn't have a phone number to call for the company.  Company denied that they didn't call back.  Property is vacant and doesn't know how many people came out to install.  Once the actual person came out it was smooth.   Would use them again but not through Angie's List becuase they was no contact info.

We contacted three providers from Angie's List for estimates. The first vendor simply wrote the price and tonnage with a 13.00 SEER rating. No model number. No other details of what was included. When we enquired about more efficient units that were eligible for city and federal rebates and tax credits, he dismissed the idea, saying the increased cost would not be worth it.
The second vendor was a large, national firm and inspired more confidence than the first outfit. Their estimate listed the model number and seer rating, but no other details. It was the highest estimate.
Our third vendor was AC911 and Oze was the only vendor who who did a thorough inspection beforehand to get the data needed to do calculations for what was needed. He also was the only vendor who provided a detailed estimate, enumerating all the work to be done and what was included. The estimate also included three different tiers of units (price and efficiency ratings) for us to choose from. The estimate detailed what manufacturer and city rebates, and fed tax credits would total. The net result with the rebates was that we got a 15.00 SEER unit for less money than the first vendor's quote for a 13.00 SEER unit! After installation, we paid exactly what the estimate quoted. I doubt that would have happened with the other vendors, since they did not detail all the little things that had to be done, and I can easily see those items being added onto the bill. 
Oze answered all our questions, was extremely knowledgeable and patient. Oze and his workers installed the unit, were efficient, quiet, arrived on time and finished when promised, and cleaned up thoroughly. He programmed and explained the fancy thermostat, met inspectors, tested the ductwork, and provided us with all the documentation to submit for rebates (filled out for us!)
Lindsey in the office was helpful, responsive and efficient. Oze followed through to the very last detail; he was a pleasure to work with. Truly, I can't imagine a better experience or outcome.

Ac911's owner Oze Stausman is professional, conscientious, punctual, and all-around terrific.  He spent a great deal of time analyzing our current heating/AC system so he could help us devise the best plan to deal with a challenging problem between two apartments that share the same condenser. His workman arrived as scheduled and completed the job, and then Oze came over to thoroughly explain the wireless thermostat that enables us to control the heat and AC remotely, from either our phones or computer. I highly recommend him and I am going to hire him for all my heating and air-conditioning needs from this point on.

Their service was good. They fixed the problem. The part wasn't readily available so they went and got it within an hour and came back and finished the work. I would use them again. They were a little more expensive than my regular heating and air guy.

They were great. They came on time, early in fact, which was helpful. They seemed very honest and gave me no more service than I required. I would hire them again. The second time they came ended up being an electrical issue, not a cooling issue. He didn't try to charge me on unnecessary services, just told me it was electrical so I could get it fixed properly.

It went very well. They were prompt and helpful. Felt like I was dealing with an honest company. I first called them out for my heater which the gas company said might be broken. They came out and charged $85 service fee and ran a CO test for 15 minutues and determined there was nothing wrong with my heater.  My handyman then said that the air conditioning was not working. So I called them out for the air conditioner and they came out and charged the $85 service charge plus 10 or so dollars for firing it up (adding freeion?).  That is when my handymen discovered that the ducting in the attic was disconnected by my previous tenant. Now my air conditioner works very well even though it is very old. I would hire them again and I would recommend them to family and friends. inside plenum.

They offered competitive and better quote than the other company. They're good as far as the investigation, on how they explained things, and helped me to make up my mind. I was pleased with both the conversations I had with whoever manages the office, and whoever did the inspection. The only thing was, this was something we knew about a long time but just been taken cared of a month ago, so there was urgency on it, and they took about two weeks to get the first quote back. The business side was easy because I don't live in the area but it was easy paying them. They dealt with me directly, and I liked that. This job isn't completed yet but it looks good so far. The first job they did for me was wall furnace repair, and what I liked about that one was they didn't charge me any extra even when the problem was a bit expensive than they originally thought. They just fixed it at a fast and very reasonable time frame, and it was fine after that. They don't have a lot of reviews and I think they're good.
