They provided a payment plan where you pay according to what they have finished, and made sure that you are satisfied with their work before they ask for another installment.
I would have given them all 'A' grade but there was an incident where Dennis felt that he need to inform my neighbor (shared wall) immediately about moisture level without notifying me first. I don't have a problem notifying my neighbor but I expect anyone I hire to inform me first of any action they are planning to do prior to doing it. I just learned about this action when my tenants told me about it.
Considering all that has happened and the work that has been done by this company I will still use them if I need another mold remediation (hopefully not) and would recommend this company to anyone who might need their services.
I don't wish this event to happen to anyone but if you need to do it you should seriously consider this company.
The employee arrived on time. He had a device that measured the presence of mold in various areas where water damage can occur. He then sent me an email with an estimate for the repairs. The estimate was the first one I got so I'm not sure it was reasonable. It was about $2500 for two units. I plan to get more estimates and make a comparison.c
Not only did Yalamar's crew arrive promptly and treat my home respectfully, but he also was an asset in bringing in a quality plumber (Green Plumber) and an excellent mold hygienist. These professionals were ready to go, and got their portion of the job done within 24 hours of a call from Yalmar. Yalmar did an excellent job of documenting the damage with photographs and did not cower when i informed him the job was pending small claims action.
Mold is one of the most necessary reparations that should be done to a home, immediately. Do not just bleach it! No one would put makeup over a lesion and think that was going to fix it. Mold is indicative of other issues, like a broken pipe or some water damage. It is also invasive, hard inconvenience as there are multiple teams involved in fixing the issue. Yalamar made it easy, and I would say he should be your first call.
Yalmar completed the mold remediation with the specified time frame and within the estimates he provided me. Several estimates were needed due to the fact that more mold was found than had been anticipated.
"Good Morning [member name removed], I apologize for your inconvenience and bad experience. However, when we looked at the details of the work requested we only had your home address, there wasn't any additional contact information. We were unable to notify you since we didn't have a phone number or email address."
Yalmar is a pleasant young man, working very hard to establish a reputable business. He seems in it for the long haul, and wants to build relationships with his customers. I wish him all the best.
Totally unprofessional totally irresponsible totally unacceptable. I am astonished that a company would treat someone like this. I cannot imagine considering attempting to use this company again.
Dennis was able to accommodate our request. I gave him an overestimate of our square footage. It ended being ~ 750 sq ft, not ~ 900 sq. ft. He calculated the price, and honored the Angie's List discount. I *think* we paid about $175, give or take, but I'm fuzzy on the price and square footage of the job at this point. He moved in and out very quickly, and I was satisfied with the results. He was very friendly and did the job with his son.
I didn't have time to call around and compare prices. I needed someone right away, and because he does emergency cleanings too, he was able to come. I was satisfied, though under different circumstances, I might have called around more and could conceivably have selected someone else.
