They fixed the problem. There was a problem with the pressure switch being closed. They adjusted the system so that it would run. Then the problem recurred, so three days later they actually came out and replaced the switch. I would have been glad to get the heater running three days earlier, even though I live in California and it's not that cold. But I needed my heater. I thought it was a little expensive, but I wouldn't know.

It went very smoothly, no surprises. I called the company and left a message requesting information about HVAC regular maintenance. I was called back promptly (the same day) and an appointment was scheduled for the following day, between 1:00 and 3:00. The service person showed up on time, spent adequate time testing both the heating and cooling. He gave me suggestions that I could do to help keep the system running efficiently and indicated that a maintenance check once a year would be sufficient as long as I changed the HVAC filters on schedule. I appreciated his candor and professional approach.

They showed up on time for both the estimate and the job itself (10 minutes early, actually), and the work was completed within a day. They were good about cleaning up after themselves, and checked out the system thoroughly before they left. This was a relatively small job, and they carried it off without a hitch. They tried to upsell a bit at the end, but in a good way: they pointed out the flawed placement of our thermostat (which we knew about), but didn't press when we told them we'd handle it in the future.

The representative from Pro Heating & Air was able to come out to give me an estimate on the same day I called. I was given an estimate by the end of the day, which was the lowest out of at least 7 companies surveyed. The work was scheduled to be done two days later. The workers were very professional. They came out on time and did the job within the time quoted. They did a great job.
