Thad Mills

You may recognize Thad from home decorating shows where he is a carpenter (Trading Spaces, Home Made SImple). He is the real deal. In the past he built me a beautiful mantlepiece, turned non functioning window seats into secretly hinged boxes that house my luggage and did renovations to my former office.
I purchased a counter-depth refrigerator and mistakenly (and stupidly) did not measure with the door opened, as a result there was 2 feet behind my new fridge that was empty and the counter depth jutted into my kitchen as much as a normal fridge. After calling that and having a couple of ideas of how it can be fixed. He came up with the brilliant idea of opening the doorway (which backs up to the side of the refrigerator). This made such an enormous difference in my condo, it opened up the whole room, the refrigerator door opens and I am very happy.
Thad also switched out a builders grade vanity with a new one I purchased. The one I purchased needed the pipe to be in a very specific place which did not line up with the plumbing. As I live in a condo, any movement of plumbing would require board approval. Thad came up with a brilliant way to modify the vanity (That you can not see) the eliminated having to move any plumbing. He took out a medicine chest and made a very nice alcove with glass shelves, took a heavily glued on mirror off the wall and repaired all the damage.
While spackle,etc was drying, i gave him a list and he went around my house and fixed numerous things. When he was finished he brought all debris to the dump and cleaned up after himself.  
Thad has great carpentry skills, an amazing eye for design, is trustworthy, always on time, incredibly responsible and an amazing problem solver. He has saved me a  lot of money over the years by figuring out the best way to deal with tricky problems.
