Maggy Maid

This is an updated report: We are preparing our home to be sold. We have had the floors redone and the home painted, which has resulted in a thin layer of dust covering many areas of the house. Not grim haunted house dust, but the dust one gets from redoing floors and the sanding that comes with painting. In an effort to get this dust out of the house we called Maggy Maid. They obviously have a great many rulesand mdash;including one that says that they do not clean on the day of a job estimate, which is done in person. Despite this, and because I pleaded that we really needed to make a deadline, they agreed to clean our house the next day per the approval of Jose, who would come first and give us an estimate. Jose showed up and very soon broke a small item on a cabinet door while trying to look in the cabinet. While this was irritating, I realized (and soon told Jose) that he had done us a favor. The mistake he made (pulling on the door rather than sliding it) would have been made by others attending an open house. I told him we would simply remove the doors (which we did while he was here). We looked through the house and at the end, Jose told me that he thought the final price might go higher than the estimate. I told him that this was not an issue. Jose confirmed our appointment and then went back to the office "to get the details to the crews." Then the phone rang about an hour later. The woman on the other end of the phone informed me that Maggy Maid would not be cleaning our home. Why? Well it would take too long, they said, and the maids have children and need to get home. Okay. Fine. Can they come for part of the time? Apparently not. Can they break the work over two days? So sorry. If we can't do it today, when could we do it? Apparently, never... "So we just won't be able to accommodate you." Most of my questions were actually answered in that form of irritating double-talk that doesn't actually address the question. At this point I began to believe that the REAL reason was that when Jose broke the cabinet door hardware, the job was over. Maybe there was another reason, but the bottom line was that they said they could do the service. Jose said they could do the service, but they pulled out. Cold feet. No offer to shift the day. No asking if we could only do part of the house today and another part another day. Just "NO". For us, we had to immediately scramble to find another service and a delay in getting our house on the market. My wife actually had to cancel a trip for my son's Spring Break to deal with this. After posting the original review, I was contacted by Maggie Maid. They have bent over backwards to try to repair the relationship, including some very generous offers to clean the house. I am not sure it is fair for me to alter the review based on discounts, etc. that didn't apply to the job, but it is apparent that they do very much care about customer satisfaction and their reputation. What I have done is deleted the service grades and placed instead a rating of N/A. For future customers, I would recommend making sure you contacting Maggie Maid a DAYS in advance of the cleaning you need done. If you seem to be getting the run-around, very patiently explain exactly what you need, and if needed, ask to speak to the owner. When an estimate is being performed, understand that anything possibly added with a comment like, "sure, it would be great to clean that if there is time," could possibly result in the entire job being so big that it could push your cleaning date. The estimating process is precise, so knowing exactly what should or shouldn't be done is important. I've never seen a property that has been cleaned by Maggie Maid, but I am sure that there crews do excellent work or they would not have the ratings they do have. If they do cleaning for us, i will post a review based on the service.

They did an excellent job. I was really impressed. They thoroughly cleaned my apartment. I can barely move around, so the house needed a good cleaning. They moved furniture and vacuumed. The kitchen was especially filthy, so they got down on their knees cleaning that. They also cleaned the bathrooms. They took the books off the shelves and dusted. They cleaned for four hours. They were very nice. I got a complementary one-room steam cleaning through an Angie's List coupon. They were on time. There were two really young girls, and I was really impressed with how thorough they were. They were very professional. They just went to work. They didn't dawdle or chat.

The work was awesome and great. I would recommend them. They were professional.

This is the first time we have used this cleaning service. They were remarkably professional. Confirmed by email and phone. Arrived on time. Excellent work by two very pleasant cleaners who worked really hard for four hours and left our place immaculate. Emailed a pdf receipt shortly after they finished. Exactly what we were looking for.

Though this was my second call to Maggy Maid, the woman I spoke with insisted MM had never been here before. When the estimator came out, his initial price was over $500.00. When I heard that, I asked that his crew only vacuum and clean my floors, clean the bathrooms and my kitchen. Even with only those services being performed, the price was still $350.00 -- way too expensive for the amount of work involved. One of the three people who came to clean remembered that she had been here the year before. And while the jobs performed were done well, again, the price was over-the-top expensive. My home is approximately 4,000 square feet. I have 5 bathrooms. They sent over a crew of four people. They were here two hours. No more. No less.

The supervisor, Jose, came out to our house and made a thorough check on the rooms and services to be done. He was prompt, knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. About a week later, the cleaners (Maria and Diego) began their 6-hour cleaning. They knew exactly what to do and were very well organized and thorough. About half way through the process, Jose arrived and inspected the work and asked me if I needed anything else attended to. When they left after 6 hours, every room looked great! I enthusiastically recommend them.

They did such a superb job. The bathroom was gleaming it was so clean, and they paid careful attention to detail. They were responsive, punctual, thorough, and the office staff who arranged the visit were thoroughly professional. They sent a supervisor out at the end of the job to make sure they had done a good job, and they had done a wonderful job. I'd use them again in a heartbeat. In fact, we plan to have them back on a regular basis.

We found them on Angie's List. It was $30.00 per person per hour and I had two people come out each time, so it was $60.00 an hour. The first time it was three hours and the second time it was two hours. They were available on short notice. It was a little expensive. They were okay.

The cleaners do an excellent job, and always do anything extra that I ask of them. The cleaners are also very nice and friendly and professional. The only downside is that the main office customer service via email has gone from extremely helpful to neglectful, rushed and curt. They ask for feedback, but then don't read it accurately and respond to me as if I said something else. Or I ask questions and they either don't respond, or the response doesn't answer my question. They used to be so nice and helpful. It is a disappointing turn of events. Perhaps they are better on the phone. Still, I have been happy with the crew they send here. Extra, extra points for cleaning up after my pets.

They didn't do great work but they were diligent in trying to rectify it. Their follow up and follow through was good. Their customer service was better than their people.

They are fine. They send a couple of people to do the job who work for two or three house. Their price is okay. They send the same people over and over which is good. Their service is excellent. I have been using them for about four months.

I called on a Saturday morning and was able to get an appointment for that afternoon. I liked the option of Saturday service and paying by credit card. The two cleaners arrived right on time and were very thorough. I did feel I had to be very specific about what I wanted, but that's the norm for house cleaning services anyway. Plus it was fine because the team were good listeners/communicators.

They were very nice and their price was reasonable. They did the job very quickly and carefully.

Excellent service, very Professional, do good work, and good attitude.

They changed the time on me several times then said I would have 4 people then day of the job called me an hour before that only 2 ladies were available.... then the ladies were late almost an hour. They did just ok work had to ask them to re-do and had to be there to supervise

Company is very professional, is well-run, and communicates well. Housekeepers were professional and friendly. Had very minor issues with missed spots and missing water bottles. Overall, excellent. Will be using for future cleanings.

I asked for a quote on Sunday night. I received a callback on Monday. They cleaned the apartment the same day. Two cleaning people arrived right on time and brought their own cleaning supplies. The dispatch person called prior to them arriving and right after they arrived. The cleaning went a little faster than originally planned which was great. They even did a few dishes that I had left in the sink which I hadn't expected. The next day I received a follow up call to make sure the cleaning went well which it did. Excellent communication from the company. Very professional.

They were great. It went really well, they were really thorough, punctual and I thought they did a really great job. I would use them again.

Great customer service over the phone. Also excellent follow up via email to see how the service went. More companies should care about their service like Maggy Maid.

A redo from previous service and excellent service this time. The team knew exactly what they were doing. I was working and observing and they worked around me. I did NOT need to do a walk through at the end because I saw that they knew what they were doing. Lety, Roxana and Jose (Supervisor) are the team I recommend you ask for with service.

I have used Maggy Maids for several months, so this review is an overview. I tried out five or six of the Maggy Maid cleaning crews before settling on one. With one exception, the first week's cleaning by each crew was excellent. As weeks passed, unless I inspected each room as it was cleaned, there were occasional misses. Personally, I am more comfortable being there with the crew so that nothing is missed. Overall, I would highly recommend Maggy Maids. The customer service is exceptional; there is same-day follow up and any problems are addressed immediately.

On the day of the service, I received a call to let me know that they were running late (stuck in traffic) and would be 15-20 minutes late. I appreciated the heads up. They were friendly, polite and professional when they arrived. I showed them around the house and they immediately got to work. I was impressed with their thoroughness, they moved things around in order to clean under them, they cleaned the oven - that was above what I expected, and even did the few dishes I had from taking my lunch to work that day. The floors looked great and were free of dust bunnies and pet hair. We have plantation shutters on most of our windows and they dusted, cleaned and cleared out any and all cobwebs that were hiding on them. Once they arrived and confirmed that the job would take about 3.5 hours, I called to submit my paypal payment, and was told they had a Yelp coupon for $20 off...so when all was said and done, I was charged $190 for 3.5 hours of glorious cleaning. Well worth the cost...for a little more time not spent cleaning.

I was impressed by their customer service from the moment I called them. They quickly provided me with a great quote, included a coupon I found, and were very professional. Even when we had to move our date since our closing date was being bounced around they were friendly. The home we bought was a Short Sale so it was left filthy with dirt, trash and dust everywhere. The two ladies that showed up were friendly and after 4 hours, made the whole home sparkling. They even dusted off the ceiling fans. Now we are even more excited to move in.... so thanks! Definitely recommended.

Very professional customer service and the maids were very good. We hired them to clean the whole 2 bedroom/2bath condo after remodeling. There was so much construction dust and dirt. They did such a good job. We will hire them again.

They were great. Both of them worked very hard and got much more done in the house than we expected, so they exceeded our expectations. We will definitely use them again in the future.
