Jose's Painting

Jose's crew was punctual and completed the work in a day and a half. Clean up was good, and the finished work looks good. At my request, the crew was careful to cover and protect some prized camellias. Very pleased with the service received.

We had extensive damage from steam, especially (because steam rises) on the high walls and ceilings, throughout our two story, high-ceiling house. We also had dated "popcorn" ceilings of sprayed concrete that made them difficult to remove, and wanted to take the opportunity to remove them. We interviewed a half-dozen painting contractors (from Angie's List) and Jose distinguished himself by his professionalism (some walked out when they saw the job, others promised followup that never came) and courtesy. He was willing to submit his bid a couple of different ways (part of the job was an insurance claim, requiring it be separated from the other) and worked with us to get the final price where we needed it to be. Jose was a great communicator -- both in person and in writing (we asked for written bids and electronic copies). He and his men showed up on the day they said they would start and finished on the day they would end. He handled problems as they arose, without involving us (which is what we wanted). Moreover, we were out of the house during the entire two week duration of the job, which involved moving furniture, artwork, and small items. When we returned, everything was in its place and everything was done as expected. Jose was on the job each day, which was important to us as well. And the job was done expertly -- including the removal of the popcorn ceilings. We'd do business with Jose again, and intend to (he also does exteriors and stucco work)!

Began with all sorts of prep, sanding, pressure washing, caulking and taping up windows. Very detailed. Repaired siding in places and added new siding where chimney had been taken down week before. Put stucco on front porch and repaired cracks. Applied primer, then final coat using spray, roller, and brush as indicated on siding and trim. Gave me advice on paint color. Really excellent advice. All workers were friendly and talented. Jose can do anything. He does everything really well. I found out he can do other things besides painting. I'm amazed and impressed. I'm going to have him work on the inside of the house now. The outsid looks fantastic!

I've used Jose five or more times over the past several years. I first hired him to paint the entire unit of a rental property I own. He did such a good job at such a reasonable price, I now use Jose exclusively as my painter, both for rental properties and for my own home.

I had a great experience working with Jose Jr. and his team (Danny, Jonathan & Alex). Jose came out in a timely fashion and gave an estimate that was in line with a couple of the other companies. Jose was also able to fix a retaining wall (unlike the other providers) which put his bid over the top. Jose's team started as soon as the rains stopped, power washing & sanding the entire exterior of the house. They also patched and repaired stucco before priming and painting. In addition to repairing a retaining wall, they also fixed a few cracked windows at a negligible price. The team was efficient and respectful and always on time (8am, wrapping around 4pm). Jose also said that if any issues came up (spots that might have been missed, etc.) to contact him so they could fix it; we haven't found a thing. Would definitely use Jose and his team in the future, and highly recommend the company.

They came on time - always cleaned up at the end of each day. Was extremely happy with the quality of work and level of professionalism. Would gladly recommend then and use them again any time.

After living in the house a month we noticed all of the trim painting looked caked on. Window frames had not been sanded and paint already is cracking and chiping off. There was no cauking done forvanybseams on the base, or crown. You wouldn't believe the lack off detail. The painter recommended flat paint and all of the walls are show scuffs like it's been 2-3 years. After calling the painter, texting and emailing several times there has been no response to correct or disappointment.! Very sad way to run s business. Is there a lemon law?

Jose and his team did a great job at our house. Very professional and clean. Told us it would take 10 days and finished in nine. Was very accommodating and offered suggestions with colors and finishes. Wouldn't hesitate to hire him again.

Jose and his team did a great job on my kitchen. The price was very reasonable. So, I was pleasantly surprised that they were efficient and finished the job quickly without sacrificing quality. They also were patient with my questions and concerns. The kitchen hadn't been painted in 15 years and the stucco was cracked and dirty. They mended all of the cracks and used two coats of primer plus two coats of paint. I'm sure this paint job will last for a long time to come! I would recommend to friends.

Wow are these guys good! Jose was quick to respond, provided a timely and professional quote and finished the job early. I would use them again without hesitation.

I heard of Jose's Painting from two neighbors. I decided to research them on Angie's List and noticed they was rated one of the best painters in Los Angeles. Thay have aslo been in business successfully since 1970. Gave them the job and they didn't disappoint. Already got two complements from my neighbors.

Jose responded quickly to my request for an estimate. The estimate was delivered the next day and was lower than I thought it might be. He told me that they had other jobs so could not get to me immediately but gave me sufficient notice when he was available. I appreciated his honesty in letting me know that he could not do the job immediately. He supervised the job but his employees were so professional that no supervision was needed. The men were skilled, polite, and extremely neat in cleaning up and replacing furniture. They also did excellent repair work on some drywall where shelving had been taken down and the drywall was quite damaged as well as corners where the old drywall tape had cracked. My townhouse is forty years old but it looks new now. I would recommend Jose to any of my friends without hesitation.

He did a great job, and I thought he was reasonable. He was awesome! We even referred him to some friends of ours. He did a very professional job, he was very clean, and wonderful!

Jose and his crew were extremely professional. He quoted fairly and delivered exactly what we asked for. When we asked for little changes he was very flexible and made sure everything look great. We would not hesitate in working with them again and recommending them to everyone.

This was the first time I used his service. The gentleman was nice enough to replace the wood in the front of my house. He was responsive, personable, and did a good job. His pricing was competitive.

I was VERY impressed with this company. To begin with they gave me a VERY COMPETITIVE bid. On cost alone it was a no brainer choice. On top of that though they were so very pleasant and courteous. They arrived on time every day and worked diligently to make sure the job was done right. They were very eager to please us and make sure we were satisfied with their work. I have no hesitation in giving Jose my highest recommendation.

My wife and I recently purchased a 2700 sq foot 1920's Spanish style home in Miracle Mile. It would be an understatement for me to say I researched a whole bunch of painters before I used Jose's paining. We got at least 4 quotes, and although Jose was not the cheapest he was competitive for sure, especially after a little negotiating. Jose walked us through the house, the process, and a strict timeline. Considering this was our first home and being a recent transplant from the East Coast we are very cautious about who we have work on our new home. Jose, Danny, Elvis and his whole crew were incredible! When the floor guys were behind 3 days, Jose was still able to get his crew moving very effeciently allowing us to live in one area of the house without being bothered by anyone. We work out of the home and Jose suggested and executed a plan of attack which we never thought was possible and it worked out well. After the interior was done, Jose and his crew worked on the exterior. They made sure to put swatches in different areas of the house so we could see the colors differently in different areas of light. Jose and his guys covered all out plants, hedges, and made sure not to get paint on anything. I must admit I was a bit skeptical of his "spray and rollback system" but our home now seems complete. One night our waterheater broke and the next day Jose walked me through the problem temporarily fixed it himself and then called one of his plumber friends and had him fix the issue that afternoon! I got to say, Jose and his crew helped turn our house into a home, and considering he was here everyday making sure everything was done right, I can honesty say he has become a friend. Def, a great quality job, for a good price.

Jose and his helper were always on time. It took them a week to complete the job. They always cleaned up each day and were friendly and professional. Jose even went out of his way to pick up the color of paint I had chosen for the interior. They did a great job and I would recommend them to others.

Jose and his team were very easy to work with. I can't stress enough how much of a pleasure it was having them as our painters. Originally, we were bid to just do the interior work but things went so well and quickly that we added on the additional outside work. They were very accommodating regarding the extra work and the additional cost was very fair. The final payment was exactly what the original bids were so there were no surprises. They always showed up when they said they would (which was often at 8am). They completed all of the work including the added work on time. They were professional, hard working and focused on giving consistent quality. They did a lot of work above and beyond painting and I wouldn't hesitate to have them do more than just painting again in the future. Jose and his brother were on time, took great care to cover floors and furniture, and carefully cleaned all surfaces before beginning to paint.

I moved into a new house and needed two rooms painted before my furniture arrived. Jose was my third painter, after the previous two were no show. He came on time for the estimate, pointed out the over painting on some of the frames and asked if I wanted that corrected. He showed up on time to complete the job and did an amazing job. It was perfect and his clean up was great. I highly recommend Jose.
